Is the Priceless Remembrance Blu-ray coming to NA?

Really bummed how we rarely get any XI stuff anymore, hoping this is one that actually gets brought over.

Are we going to get the mosaic puzzle, too? There's not really any need for localization with that one.

I received the BD today from amazon.co.jp preorder. It works in my NA PS3 although I had to update system firmware. The BD has JP and English menu titles and a paper insert in English describing how to download the MP3s to a computer. MP3 downloaded easily using a web browser.

EDIT: in-game item codes are printed on the back of the cover strip, which I guess makes it easy to identify a 1st printing

The Memorial book is still a (JP) Square Enix e-Store exclusive, so I'm still wondering if they will sell it through NA SE store as-is or will they go through effort of translating (I doubt it since they didn't do so for the chronicles book).

The puzzle isn't listed on e-Store as exclusive although I thought it was in the past. Hmmm.

I would hope they would release a american, er, english versions of the ending ffxi memorial books eventually after japans released versions. One can only Hope!

They also mentioned the Vanadiel Tribune book that was JP-only and never got translated. Just because they mention it doesn't mean they'll pay someone to do the translation. You could just always start learning the language if you care that much.

How does the code for this product even work? I was thinking of ordering this for the code but it says you need to combine it with another item in their shop and would have to use it back in november (which is gone obviously).

A statement like that would suggest that the codes are past their expiration dates. Aside from that though, the item codes aren't region specific or anything. If they're not valid for you, they're not valid for the Japanese anymore either.

No, that is not the case at all. There was a pre-order campaign where you would get bonus additional codes for mog pells if you bought the puzzle and book as a set. The codes should be good for about 2 years.

I guess it must have been for pre-orders only then? I do not have the bluray or the puzzle nor did I pre-order it. Was trying to find out if it was still possible to get codes if you were to purchase them now which I imagine it is not sadly. :(

This is probably what you have been reading about the "no longer available" etc news. Even without the puzzle (and the bundled campaign extra goodies), the storyboard book and the blu-ray music disc (first batch) still individually contain their own codes if that is what you are confused with.

Incidentally if you are able to buy all 3 items (and gain the extra code from the bundled buying campaign), altogether you will have Mog Pell (Rainbow) x 4; Mog Pell (Gold) x 1; Mog Pell (Red) x 1; Mog Pell (Green) x 5. And each code would expire only on 30 November 2017 (codes need to be used on your Square-Enix account before this date, but actual in-game item can be obtained from Festive Moogles even beyond that date).

That's just awful that they're so limited, even in Japan. They clearly sold out easily, so why not make more? Why does a jigsaw puzzle have to be so exclusive?

That helps clarify some things thanks. Also I'm not sure if anyone can answer this but I've heard that only 1 code from a specific product works per account (Edit) or maybe it was one code per character. So if someone were to order multiple blurays only one code would work? Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? So I mean if you were to buy all 3 items or 2 items, each code would work but if you were to buy multiples of the same for extra rainbow pells then only the first code would work. I hope that wouldn't be true. :s

(Edit 2) I guess a better question would be if someone bought the bluray and the book since the puzzle is not longer available would both codes for rainbow pells work on the same character? Can anyone confirm this?
