Can't Relinquish from Monstrosity (Resolved, Report)

Hello.

Yesterday I tried to participate in Monstrosity. I ran around for a bit, but finding that no one else was flagged for Belligerency I decided to return to my regular form. To my chagrin, the Relinquish command, as used from the UI (PC player) didn't seem to work.

Eventually I was able to contact a GM and they promptly and sincerely assisted me, but I wasn't sure if this bug was known to the development team. So, in an attempt to facilitate that, I made this post.

If there is any other information I can provide I will try to do so.

It just wouldn't let you use the command at all?

Relinquish is instantly cancelled if you are attacked, take any damage, or move at all during the countdown. Subsequently, if you have a damage over time effect (such as Dia, Bio, Poison etc.,) you can't Relinquish until it wears off.

If you really still can't Relinquish, your last ditch effort is to get killed, which will give you the option of giving up. This can be hard if you're levelling while capped in Buburimu, which you really should be for best results.

I just looked it up (I'm new), and yeah, that must have been it.

Yeah, it's the same icon as invisible, remove it like you would do most buffs.

I didn't actually know how to do that for this game until I looked it up too, but I got it. Thank you.

Tbf there isn't a lot of situations where you'd need to cancel a buff, just about only needed for dropping sneak and/or invisible.
