This is kind of a three parter. I left the game around the time FFXIV came out. l loved this game - and I'd like to see as much as possible that I may have missed in the shortest amount of time.

What would be the big storyline stuff to catch up on? Mainly Seekers missions and Rhapsodies? Or have there been some big continuation of quest lines / additions to early expansion storylines?

Can all of this be soloed? I have a 99 DRK. Can I solo this content with a 99 DRK given the right sub-job?

What would be the "fastest" way for me to prep my character to undertake the storyline content?

Mainly I'm looking to come back to wrap up what I may have missed. Not really looking to do expert content / grind. Mainly looking to cover the "big picture" story.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked everywhere - but there's so much - and the coverage isn't as good as it used to be (for obvious reasons).

There are some lore-based quest series in SoA; I haven't done any of them though, so someone else can tell you more hopefully.

If you haven't done it already you can complete Abyssea main missions for some bits of story.
There are some quests at the end of the Wings of the Goddess storyline, namely Champion of the Dawn (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Champion_of_the_Dawn) and A Forbidden Reunion (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/A_Forbidden_Reunion).
Again if you haven't done it already there is the Voidwatch storyline, requires quite a bit of work but it's quite nice. You probably won't be able to solo the last mission though. Starting with Guardian of the Void (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Guardian_of_the_Void).

You should be able to solo a good chunk of SoA storyline but you might need some help near the end.
And as Alhanelem said, there are several sidequests series that add a lot of lore to Adoulin, I will link the first quest for each serie:
- A Thirst for the Ages (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/A_Thirst_for_the_Ages).
- Vegetable Vegetable Revolution (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Vegetable_Vegetable_Revolution).
- No Laughing Matter (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/No_Laughing_Matter).
- Flowers for Svenja (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Flowers_for_Svenja).
- Thorn in the Side (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Thorn_in_the_Side).
You will need some Adoulin fame to progress through all these quests.

I might be forgetting some things, sorry if that is the case.

Thank you so much. This was fantastic. Any advise as to the quickest way to prep my character to take on these challenges? Sounds like most "can" be soloed?

This should help you get back on track: Adventuring Primer (http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/contguide/).
I'd say the first thing to do would be to unlock trusts, you can summon three of them at first and up to five by progressing through Rhapsodies of Vana'diel. You can use them to help you in all missions, including those in Adoulin.
You should unlock Records of Eminence (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Records_of_Eminence), you will be able to buy a full set of ilvl 117 equipment with sparks, this will suffice to solo everything I listed above.
Maybe start with Rhapsodies of Vana'diel missions, the first two chapters are easy enough and you unlock several bonuses, in your case the ability to summon two more trusts would be the most interesting bonus.

Also, all the new means of teleportation will help you focus more easily on the story:
- Home points (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Home_Point).
- Survival Guides (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Survival_Guide).
- Waypoints (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Waypoint).

To move freely in Adoulin areas, you will need to unlock these Survival Skills (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Survival_Skills).

The world is your oyster basically. I've actually been taking the time to do ALL the quests I missed back at the 75 cap, and everything seems soloable on any job except for the later SoA missions and certain level capped content (still need to find folks for The Big One and Mercenary Camp.)

If you make a login on FFXIclopedia, they have some nice checklists you can use to keep track of things. There have been a few minor ommissions here and there, but I've tried my best to patch any that I see.

Lastly, you may want to level up BST if you haven't already. For a lot of content, including the aforementioned later adoulin missions, people will just tell you to solo it on BST when asking for help, at least in my experience.
