Sad no echad ring on my reactivaded char

Feeling sad that i didn't get the echad ring on my new char on old account.
I may be wrong but i read somewhere (maybe here) that square enix made the ring available for people that didn't got it on aniversary campaign.
Am i wrong?

They did but you had to have your sub active on a certain date to get the mog pell that awards it. I missed it too and I'm peeved. HOpefully there's another oppertunity...

SE has been giving red mog pells in regular intervals (4-6 months)

If I am correct, we have had 4 red mog pells (or more) so far since they started to give 'em out.

So don't worry and just be patient. The only catch is that you must have an active account in that period of time.

Echad is not lame to a person coming back who likes EXPing vs. being power leveled. It's a very nice exp boost while leveling. It would be great for SE to allow folks to get these. I wish I could trade one of my mule's ring to a friend who came back. He'd appreciate it.

XP per mob is such a vanishingly small part of the total XP acquired that XP boosting rings aren't even that good even if you ARE levelling from below 99. Grounds of Valor and Records of Eminence give much more substantial bonuses.

Beside, the Expertise Ring and Emperor Band are always available.

If it was entirely about loyalty, they wouldn't have offered additional oppertunities to obtain it. As far as "jumping ship", SE should be freaking happy I came back, whenever I did so.

I maintained a continuous subscription to FFXI for about TEN YEARS. If that's not loyalty, I don't know what is. So don't you dare talk like I"m not a loyal customer. Especially considering the fact that even when I wasn't subbed to this game, I was subbed to another one of their products, so I've actually been forking cash over to SE for closer to 12 years at this point.

If they are worth so little, why do you complain so much about SE giving them out? When the game is over, I hope the folks guarding their 'precious' realize they were a big part of the problem with FFXI. I want my job to be best, nerf everyone else. I got this because I'm special, don't give it to anyone else. It's a shame such a good game has elitism that has killed it.

No matter how good grounds of valor and records of eminence are, more on top doesn't hurt and makes a player feel good vs seeing others pop this 'worthless' ring that never expires and resets every two hours. I can't believe you even compare the emperor bands to it at all, and as I said, my friend has no 99 job, so how does that expertise ring help him?

I was loyal for near 9 years on this character alone, I also had another that I created and was loyal with from Launch before I decided on a new account, and left for all of 5 months and missed out on this item, while people only a few month old got this item.

It has NOTHING to do with loyalty and solely to do with being active at the right time.

;x well at least the original poster on this topic will be happy to know the info of red mog pells being distributed again. looks like we also get a shot at 2014's rings as well too (not unlimited but helps when our cooldown timers for the unlimited rings are down a very small bit....but it won't last but for a few more mobs lol ... well, unless you are leveling low-leveled/new jobs. then it'll help greatly in gaining levels)

I noticed last time they delivered them they seem to do it in batches alphabetically by character name. I didn't realize that at first and was a little pissed that my mules, most of which start with letter A, got them wayyyy before my main character did.

Well tbh.
the echad ring does help a lot when you are starting a new char and mos of the xp KI are behind a content wall.
the difference is massive when being new to the game.

i reactivated my other account were my other new char is (couldn't remove the one time log in password on that one)

I'm pretty much doing an story mode run up to abyssea and TBH soloing to 99 has been a little boring.
In the old days you were leveling with real people (sometimes on party chat on xbox or on skype-msn etc. on pc)
But today soloing while getting 1k-2k at most without the double campaign and no ring on lv75+ is really slow.
specially all those limits that the LB quests asks.
And many of the xp KI being behind a content wall that new chars will have a long way to go to do it

imho square should either lower the 2hr cool-down on the echad ring to an HR or leave the double xp campaing permanent

To the people that have lv 99 chars and that have unlocked all those xp bonus from the new quests, and that have the xp trust and the echad ring, SURE is fast for you.
but start with a completely new char and well talk if is not going to be boring for you soloing to lv 99.
To bad worm parties are dead because without all that the xp outside is still very slow and boring.

Anyway here is my plan.

Level up to 70 dancer and war sub
Work on rank 5 (defeat shadow lord so i can get the 3 xp ki and the 4th trust)
level up to 99 dancer and war sub
finish rank 10 bastok
Start and finish ROTZ (yes i'm not interested in skipping this and do COP)
Start and finish COP (and hope i can get another xp ki)
Start and finish TOAU
Start and finish WOTG
and start and finish abyssea.

Im not interested in the IL farming but I AM interested in leveling dancer, blue and beast to lv 99.

BTW i'm the same person that asked for trusts in abyssea and wow the hate i got from some of the "old" schools players was amazing.

I'm one of those "old" school players that retired when abyssea was launched , and let me tell you something,
The OLD game is dead this is a new game and TBH it needs to be accessible to new chars in order to survive

BTW i'm the same person that asked for trusts in abyssea and wow the hate i got from some of the "old" schools players was amazing.I'm not really sure why anyone would have a problem with this, as honestly, trust should be useable everywhere, since its entire purpose is to fill in for actual players when you can't find any to do what you want to do.

You do know those rings were given out during one of the free play periods which had the adventure appreciation campaign so you didn't have to pay anything to get them. I only play when they have the free weeks and still got those rings.
