Steps:

While Farming Various atma, abyssite, quest NMs it was necessary to readjust ppl in the alliance in order to serve the alliance needs more effectviely. When I swapped a WHM from the top party in my list, into my party, he had accepted party invites and chat was visible in party chat, but he was not on my party list. He was in the "Find Members" menu, and I was able to cast party-only spells on him.

Later that night, one of the leaders of the top party in my alliance needed to move to another party, so she passed lead and disbanded. I could no longer see her party chat, but everyone in her party disappeared from the party list, except her. Her party also moved to the middle. It was a party of one (just her) with no leader, and she was standing in front of me seeking for party invite. Again the find members list listed 17 ppl in the alliance and no one else seemed to be missing any1 from their party list. Everyone thought I was crazy.
