View Full Version : Pianissimo for Rolls
Cor should get a job ability that lets them limit a roll to a single player much like brd with pianissimo. It could even be called something like "bottom deal". Which in real life when you deal from the bottom it means you put specific cards there to give to a certain person while everyone else gets normal cards from the top.

How would you Double-Up?
I would imagine just the same as before.

Double up has always required the roll to be active on the COR, a pianissimo roll would be applied on a player and not on the COR so there would be nothing to double up if it were to use the current system.
I have a feeling the way it is actually written is the cor can't double up without the double up status icon, that die with the plus. The roll would go on the person and the cor would still get the double up status.

You can currently see it by doing a roll with someone out of range then using double with them in range and they still get the final value everyone else does.
That said still a great idea

We have no plans to add in a feature that would act like bard’s job ability “Pianissimo” and allow a corsair to put a phantom roll on a specific player.

I think COR would benefit from a job ability that renders the next roll undispellable and unable to be overwritten.

Instead of a job ability or trait, how about another ring? Can function like the Luzaf's Ring, which increases the area of effect for Phantom Roll and Double Up, but have the new ring decrease the area of effect.

The name of this ability could be called "Dealer's Choice", and it would be amazing if you were lucky enough to get the timer reset when using Random Deal shortly after, then you could select two party members to receive "Dealer's Choice"
