Steps:

1. Last unity message from unity leader Maat about dragons in Escha about 00:30 this morning.
2. Three hours later, without zoning or logging, there was no message from Maat about dragons, but I did receive a message from unity leader Maat about dragons on different account on another computer.
3. Sometimes will speak in unity chat (only has about 40 people in it) and will not see message on second account that is in same unity.

Wait. Is there useful messaging in Unity chat now? Something other than people spamming for the "Unity Chat" objective all day?

Yes, As an example, Maat will mention the status of NMs in Escha - Ru'An (including <mobname> will appear in 10 minutes or <mobname> is at 85%HP, etc).

At least on Ragnarok, I see people using Unity Chat to arrange going out to kill Unity NM. Personally, I use it to ask questions about the game, when I get stuck and FFXIclopedia or BG isn't helping.

I even found other players looking to do buffs and/or healing stuff together.

Yeah there is a lot of messages to get your daily object out of the way, but there is more going on, too. At least on Ragnarok . . .

Crazy thought . . . Did your Unity Chat On/Off setting get set (somehow) to Off? Even if not, try setting off, zone, set it on, zone, and then test again. Yeah, most likely won't help, but you never know.
