Issue: This only happens on the XBox 360. When zoning into ANY location there is an approximate 10-15 sec freeze.
Also, while doing Beseiged, XBox will crash every time as well as in Dynamis. This is usually a "rolling" freeze. In other words, if one player freezes, so will 80-100% of all XBox users involved in that environment.
Most of the freezes are precluded by the character "stutter" running. Hesitate-run-hesitate-run, and high R numbers, usually around R2200 and higher.

The first issue, I'm betting, is caused by the way XBox loads your character when you zone. I noticed it was far worse on my main character, which has a lot more data, than my mules.
The Besieged issue, I don't think occurs with every XBox. But, I do think it does to an overwhelming majority. The chance of it happening seemed to increase with the amount of time you were in Besieged. I actually stopped doing Besieged until I moved to a PC.

The issue with the Xbox in terms of besieged and such at least is due to the way the xbox uses its memory catche, due to sharing ram with all other functions of the xbox and the game storing all its shading and texture mapping into the xboxes ram, causing it to run out of ram and freeze, as for the char loading issue, idk what it is but its probably a similar issue.
I'm more concerned about the constant issue of game freeze errors causing the game to become unplayable due to being unable to shut the game off properly. It's made playing on the 360 not an option for my GF. I myself can't play on 360 due to the fact that i have no wireless adapter, So I play on PS3 and let my GF use my old PS2 by hard-wiring it to the router.

The zoning issue with the xbox 360 has to be the biggest annoyance I face ingame. It used to be a 3 second freeze for me until I did my last gobby bag quest. When I went to 80 slots the freezings went to 10-15 seconds at every zone. I'm also one that can't do Besieged. I find it frustrating spending an hour fighting mobs just to freeze and lose all my exp just before the end. I also can't do certain abyssea exp ptys for longer than 3 hours before I freeze and have to reboot. And to add to the annoyance, there are certain items in game that will make me freeze, similar to the issues late last year with the THF AF causing xbox users to freeze. I can't do my Maat WHM fight because the WHM Testimony causes an insta-freeze.

I just get the few second freeze at some zone changes (it happens so often that I kind of don't even pay attention to it anymore). However, there have been a number of times where the game locks up entirely. A few times in Abyssea, this happened. And before that, it would happen in Campaign Battles in Xarcabard, effectively making all gained experience and Allied Notes vanish.
They don't occur as much anymore, but I do feel a little nervous going into heavily populated areas.

Just to use the suggested template on the Xbox freezing in Besieged thing...
Platform: Xbox 360 (in my case, the old "Pro" version)
ISP: various
Type of Internet Connection: various
Internet Connection Speed: various
Date & Time: frequent
Frequency: high
Character Name: various
Race: various
World: Fairy, and then Sylph
Main Job: various
Support Job: various
Area and Coordinates: Al Zahbi
Party or Solo: both
NPC Name: n/a
Monster Name: n/a
Steps:
1. Enter Al Zahbi during Besieged or be there when it starts
2. participate in the battle (problem may be alleviated by taking "breaks" away from other characters, PC or NPC)
3. After more than ~40 minutes of active participation, system will freeze, requiring a reboot.
Note: particularly long/involved Campaign Battles can trigger the same issue

Thank you for all your input and details guys and gals!
We understand how frustrating it can be to zone into an area just for the game to crash on you, or just hit very heavy lag. Especially frustrating if you freeze up at the end of a long fought Campaign battle. We will be forwarding the report so it can be investigated to try and get it resolved. Throughout the investigation, any updates will be posted within the forums as they become available. Thank you much for your patience.
