Rhapsodies of Vana'diel progress

Hey,

I completed chapter 1 of Rhapsodies of Vanadiel, got the rewards of Rhapsody in White, Umber and Azure and the Cipher's of Lion II and Zeid II, however I have come to play chapter 2 and the Mission log tells me I am up to Mission 1-2-1 A Path Untraveled and shows no evidence of me completing Chapter 1 anymore, although I still have the rewards of doing so.

Is there an explanation as to why my progress appears to have been lost? Will I need to re-do Chapter 1 again before starting Chapter 2 now?

I read that someone who switched nations since finishing chapter 1 had their progress reset. Is that the case for you?

Hello,

I'm wondering if this is going to be true throughout or for what parts of Rov. My Son and I are rank 10 in Bastok and have been thinking about joining Sandy & Windy for the experience, chairs, flag, jacket, etc., but I'd hate to have to redo all of RoV . . .

Can anyone in the know, please, let us know when it is and isn't safe to change nations.
