Roleplay?

Hello! I'm a returning player.. I'm just in love with this game. But I need to know, is there still RP here? Is there still an unofficial RP server?

There were some linkshells that were 100% roleplay-based, with players always communicating in-character, and never discussing Earth-related subjects etc. I don't know if these linkshells still exist today. My LS was originally an RPG shell in 2004, but now so many LS members have gone to ff14 or w/e, there's not really enough people to keep the "Fireside Chats" and similar traditional RPG elements going.

Maybe you could start a new LS, and /shout for other Roleplayers to join you in your atmospheric and imaginative RPG-adventuring in Vanadiel.

I logged in with an older character last night, a fairly well leveled one. I started in Bastok and walked to Jueno, hitting the highlands, the dunes and jugner and all. And I saw... like maybe 3 other people. I found myself very disheartened. Usually those places were filled with people when I was here last. It made me sad, really.

I tried starting an RP LS before, and it didn't work. I'm willing to try again, I am. But I know it wont be easy, I know it's not such a popular thing now.

I'm on Asura, is there a more populated server maybe I could try? Where would I shout for the advertisement? Jueno seemed.. well empty too. I mean there were people there, mostly a couple people shouting about quests they needed.

What advice would you give me to try and get this jump started?

From what I understand, Asura is one of the most populated servers.

I actually run an RP linkshell on Siren, if you are interested. We get some roleplay in one to two times a week. Usually, we're doing some of the old questlines and such. We're definitely looking for more members, if you are interested!
