My character is stuck

So about 2 days ago I was with a friend in their mog garden but I had to go right then and there and so I hit shut down and it logged me instantly. And the next day when I tried getting back on my character I'm stuck in this Mog Garden cutscene but textures are missing then it cuts to the adoulin mog house with the moogle floating up to the wall and just staring at it and then nothing happens. I can still talk in /tell and /ls because it is a cutscene but that is all I can do. Mind you, I haven't started Mog Garden I just visit my friends once in a while. I tried logging into my character from both my pc and laptop and still stuck and I even tried the force dc thing, nothing seems to be working and I don't want my character lost forever, is there anything that can be done to get my character out?

If you can't call a GM, can you get an friend or LS mate to call a GM for you? Might be quicker than waiting for a response here.

I had to deal with this happening in the past with my characters years ago in getting frozen stiff on there feet in one place seeing everything, everyone moving around you but you with chat functions still functioning sometimes with the horrible to play on the ps2 system I used to play on before moving over to pc and here is what I did is unplug all internet things mainly the to game, then restarting the ps2 system even though it means an improper log-out and shutdown of the game on the system, reboot the system than replug-in all your internet connections or tuning the modem/router back on in which ever method you used to get disconnected since you cant even log-out or shutdown properly or even use any /commands while being stuck in the game! Now log back into the game and have the files checker under the pol game viewer check all files are still okay which in my experience never detected any bad corrupted files after doing so in restarting the game!

What I think happens is the connection acts like you been disconnected but you really haven't been dc'ed even though in a way its acting as if you have been, possibly. This also happened to me several times after clicking on an npc in certain area's and it would change or vary when it was going to happen again randomly in area's but yet again this only happened to me when I used to play on ps2 but it also could be the issue with the ps2 hard drive running the game!

My most memorable happenings of this is getting stuck inside the chocobo circuit inside the races/racing areas where they have those booths with npc's behind them to each section you can walk to each one to /check the I believe it was rankings or the wining chocobo ticket numbers ranking placements but after I clicked on one those npc's my character became frozen instantly frozen waiting for a text or anything/any-kind of response from the npc without it happening, just being frozen to the spot by that npc.

I then checked whether I had ability of any chat functions left since it would only allow me to chat into the chat function I had locked my character into using in the first place and luckily I did which was still in say mode and I had to try catch a players running by while trying to type fast enough to catch them running by across from behind my path of being stuck unless they stopped in that area eventually I finally got the attention of one sopping by me.

I had this gracious enough player listening into answering me back in say mode as I told him/her of my predicament situation since I didn't want to do what I had usually done to fix it in the past so I asked this player what I could do to fix it which was the suggestion by Tidis mentioned above in which I'll come to how came about in a bit in which I proceeded to tell him about the other predicament on how I cant use any /commonds at this current time being locked in process of chat from the npc but no response back from npc was happening..

So next I asked if he could check to see if any of my friends I could even think of were even online with the search functions by the player using those commands on his/her part to then proceed to relay a msg about my problem to that in game friend of mine that we finally found one online to relay a msg to of my current play problems i'm having in which area i'm having them in as then my in game friend proceeds relaying msg's back to the player as that player relays what my friend is saying over to me.

He/she said that my friend asked if I wanted to try to have them call a GM for my situation and I of course said; Yes. I of course waited for the GM after they called a GM for me to get it fixed. It's a lil<{little} hazy after this point but I think the gm to tried to help me out in tell mode and I wanted them to relay to the GM that I cant do chats in tell mode but online friend was in same area as me by then to do say mode chats to relay msg's to the gm still and friend did tells back to me while I stayed stuck in say mode replying back but anyways the gm in way told me he was going to try a few things to see if it fixed the problem.

I remember one of them being was to be moving my character back outside of the zone I came in through which was outside of the chocobo circuit enter door, I must of went afk briefly or something while he was doing this and when I got back asked my friend what happened to the GM after seeing my character still stuck in the same area in the same place as before and my online friend told me the GM said that my character shows as moved to a new zone/fixed but clearly wasn't fixed and I said back to the friend after gm gone was that figures in which all-in-all I ended up fixing the problem Like I usually had done to resolve the problem in the past in the same exact methods as before to get unstuck!

I suppose it's a good idea to note that whatever you did to get your player frozen, I would go back there or do again because of it happening and I should also note that it was zoning in then i would try to get that player out of there quickly as possible to the zone, zoning the character out of that zone as Quickly a possible before it happens again and not ge back to that zone as a precaution into not having it happen again.

Well that's my story on this event that's happened to me in the past and i'm sticking to it!! I've never had this to of happen yet ever while playing on my laptop pc with windows 8.1 soon to be windows 10 upon it's release around this month on july 29th. This just happened to my boyfriend when he disconnected from my mog garden. He doesn't have his mog garden unlocked. When he logs in it shows a black screen with his character name and a boat. It appears as if he is in a cs then he appears in a mog house with a moogle in front of him but cannot see his character. He can send and receive tells and speak in ls. No commands work and he couldn't open the menu to contact the help desk. He had to create a mule on the same account to contact a GM. The GM told him to contact the Square Enix Support Center. He works during their support hours so I'm not sure when this problem will be rectified or even if they can fix it. The GM told him that if they were to try and move his character that it may corrupt his character data. That GM's don't have the proper tools available to them. And when he suggested a rollback the GM said that's only used when someone compromises your account. Has anyone had this problem resolved for them? His game name on asura is Severance.

The fix is having a gm move your character. My boyfriend's character is now unstuck.

We have determined that players will become stuck if they enter a Mog Garden with an invitation and log out without changing areas. In this case, as reported by Devilishangel, you will need to contact a GM and request to be moved from the area you are stuck in.

This bug does not occur if you've completed the Mog Garden tutorial.

This issue has already been addressed, and we will be fixing it in the August version update. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
