Hi guys,

I've recently moved from xp to Win7. Each time I install pol.exe (either via the old disc or win7 compatibility POL.exe downloaded from POL.com) my anti virus software tells me a threat has been detected on my computer, Trojan: Win32/Sisproc. I'm using Windows Secruity Essentials.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so does anyone have any advice? I'd very much like to get back to FFXI without the fear of my computer exploding on me as a result ^^

False positive. It has been known to happen with other vendors as well. If MSE has a means to report a file to Micro$oft for review, send it.

To get around it for now, just add the POL folder to the exclusions list so it doesn't scan the folder anymore:

using a $ sign for an S in Microsoft makes you look like a tool.

You obviously have never worked with Microsoft directly as a partner... I have.

"You obviously have never worked with Microsoft directly as a partner... I have. '

omg you mean a corporation is out to make money? omg, really. damn, my whole belief system has been squashed. You honstely think google, apple, GE extra don't do anything they can to make money including to illegal things.

I hope you are not that naive to think MS is the only one that does that.

fyi, I have been using that name for over a decade. And it is just a screen name, I would put ;adfo;aj;lga;gj;ag if I could but it makes it hard to reply to.

Hey Raist, thanks very much for the info. I had a feeling it was nothing to worry about (for one thing just putting the ffxi disc into the computer triggered the MSE alarm bells ^^).

P.S. I really dont mind what way you want to spell MS :)
