Can we merit afterglow effects or duration? or increase caps on Group 1/2 merits?

I know that some people perceive afterglow to be trophy, but...being able to strengthen your party or trusts with a weaponskill is a really cool idea.

Can we possibly spend merit points or capacity points to increase the duration or effects of afterglow?

I could also see an increase in player interest if people were allowed to spend merits on all categories of Group1 and Group2 merits.

Thoughts?

We have precious little dev time left, I'd hope that it be spent on things with a bit more mass appeal than things that are only relevant to .01% of the population.
