i found this i put it through google translate and there is some nice info here but google really doesn't explain it all.

Please don't exclude ur Englishing speaking users while i know the main dev team speaks japanese and it make it easier for them to communicate with the japanses player base at least translate the info you give out.

Would like to see that forum, but the link is busted--maybe post the link in your address bar while the page is loaded through google translate?

Edit: the link via google translate:

Amercian studios are like that for ya with their NA/EU bases while ignoring their Spanish and Japanese bases (if applicable) much like Japanese studios does for their home base.

Fixed for clarification -- both ends of the globe does this.

not to do with ignoring it's more to do with English team not translating this kind of info. Either way please translate this for us please.

@Elexia a) don't put words in pples mouths b) Most companys that "support a language" they usually do. c) i did look at the dev tracker and they havn't translated it hence the reason i posted derp de derp.

If it was a case of English pple playing a Japanese only game then there wouldn't be a issue but since SE marketed and sold the game for these languages i would like any game info at least translated.

looks like they are answering questions the JP players have asked so they are answering them in Japanese first. Go figure

When the American playerbase starts acting like human beings, maybe Square-Enix will give us some more respect.

Until then, I see little reason for them not to prefer the Japanese.

They aren't excluding anyone. It takes time to get proper translations for all languages.

They were questions asked on the Japanese forums by japanese players. I'd assume if we had a similar thing here then we might get similar answers? The thread looks like a "random questions for the developers" thread, it's probably worth starting one here and seeing what happens :)

While I couldnt really tell with google translation, they were a bunch of random questions about random stuff, not so much suggestions or asking for changes (Though I can't say for sure on that because automatic translations can be pretty far off0

The difference being I highly doubt the Developers read the English forums (Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but English is not their primary language). They get information from the Community Team, who does read these forums. There has already been a thread exactly like this, wherein the Community Team apologized for the delay in translation and provided one when it became available.

If there's no translation, it's entirely possible that the response in question had no real content in it, or was deemed unimportant. It's also possible that they are simply compiling the translations of Developer responses for a single "Developer Q&A!" type post, similar to what they did with the FFXI Twitter account. Either way, it's nothing to freak out over when this issue has already been addressed directly by the staff.

A translator can translate a full sentence in less than 10 seconds flat...i've seen it...so run that by me again?

Hmm.. maybe we could get bilingual volunteers on both sides of the board to translate interesting topics from either forum to the other side?

I have it natively in chrome, and while it's usefull for getting the gist of things, it's at times extremely hard to understand what exactly is being said in the thread due to things like grammar differences and terms unique to the game that get translate wrong.
