I came back to this game for the story, which I find fantastic.
I am curious to see where this game is heading after the "abyssea" story..

Any hints comments etc?

I do... but I always catch people at the wrong time so I can never progress due to needing help with missions. I could plan more ahead and make set times for it, but I never know what I might be doing during my evenings and weekends.

I still want more choice on mission. CS only path, normal path and super hard BC filled path. So everyone can pick the type that fit their schedules and interests.

What server are you on?
I think that with the level 90 we can SOLO ZILART COP AND TOAU right?

I used to play mostly for the story, but back when I was new, so much time passed between each story event. That made me sort of stop caring too much about it, but the story is still one of the few things this game has over many other MMOs. I think it is one of the things that makes the world of vana'diel feel different from many of the other (boring) MMO worlds.

I've been doing the Windurst missions on a second character and I'm enjoying it again.

Personally, I'd love to see more missions done in the same style as the original city rank missions or Zilart/Promathia. The storyline for Aht Urghan was excellent too, but the missions were a tad too easy.

There hasnt been any work on exP about a real story since WG. ABBY has to my opinion done nothing to give that feeling you had when doinf CoP or zillart. Good luck and lets hope SE can give us something a lot of us still desire besides grinding for gear and levels.

Moar nation missions please! Find a way to bring back the competition of Ranking 1st - 3rd as well(exclusive USEFUL gear would do the trick).

I think the chances of this happening are zero to slim.

It seems that SE is grating ppl what they waht gear gear gear and more gear and leaving aside what IMO, made FFXI a success... it's story

I'd love more expansion on dropped plot points, or the little details of things. I love the backround details that fill in stuff, like the optional cutscenes you can view for missions, or the quests that touch upon stuff only briefly mentioned in the main storyline.

I wish they would have inserted more story into Abyssea. It seemed like they crammed it all in at the end just to tie up loose ends. Sadly I haven't had the time to do the WoTG missions yet but it's definitely on my to do list.

I have not yet completed the mission storyline for any part of the game, but I'm trying to now that I have a level 90 job. I only reached level 75 the first time a month before Abyssea was announced. Only having a BLM though makes it tough, as there is still stuff I can't solo well. I need to get a melee job up.

The biggest hurdles to me completing story are that I'm in Alaska and play late at night, so the US players are already asleep, and I've played only one night every week or two for most of the time I've had the game since 2002. Out of the ~3000 days the game has been released, I've played about 120 on my character. I was level 12 at NA launch, level 30 at ToAU launch, level 50 at WotG launch, and finally hit 75 a little over a year ago.
