Abyssea help

I've come back to playing ffxi and was looking for a populated linkshell to join. Also was looking for some help on how to level up in the Abyssea world. So either reply back to this post or just send me a message through the sever. I'm on Asura and my highest job is a Samurai.

Levelling in Abyssea is usually done by opening chests or sitting AFK while someone else uses area of effect attacks to take out mobs. What level are you? If you can't find a party, then from level 75-99, you can use Grounds of Valor and Records of Eminence, along with some Trust NPCs, to level in Bostanieux Oubliette or (my preference) Labyrinth of Onzozo.

As for the linkshell, try doing some /yells in town.

The concierges suck. They always either have nothing, or Japanese linkshells. I think they lose all their pearls after every maintenance, and it seems like each one has a different stock of pearls.

It's in the castle, not the cathedral. You take the first right when you enter castle and there's a hallway nearby that leads to it.
