Trying to play on Odin

I recently bought FFXI again after taking a break for a few years (since 2005) and i'm trying to make a new character on my old server Odin but it doesn't appear on the list.

I figured out that they are merging servers but is there any way i can still make my character on Odin like maybe using a gold world pass? If not, are there any ideas when the merger will be completed?

read the updates on the version update. world merger will be done with the next version update. around end of april and you cant use gold passes to create characters on either the host server or the one being dumped on it. s2bu
