update stops at 37.dat

I have not updated the game for 2 or 3 months. Trying to run update now but having issues.

I have updated all the .tmp files and that seemed to help a bit but its constantly stopping at 37.dat. no error message or crash out just hangs there until i stop it.

Is it safe to delete this file?
a search within the folder shows a load of 37.dat files so not sure if should delete all or just one specific file.

Any one else have this problem and found a fix?

Does it stop at copying the file, or during downloading the file? If it's during the download (which I doubt a bit), removing the file would likely not help. I'm thinking there is a corrupt file, and it should indeed be removed. Perhaps before manually venturing about with the axe, try running the file-check via the PlayOnline viewer if you haven't yet.

It could also be file-system corruption, but let's hope that's not the case.

In any case, if you can't identify the exact file, any missing files should be replaced by the file-check feature. As an additional note, you could simply move them instead of deleting them so as to not lose the files completely.
