This needs to be addressed, losing a whole run because of a dc is just dumb. There should be a 10min timer before your run kicks you after a dc. Sometimes you don't even get 3mins and it still kicks you out. It gets annoying when you log back in right after a dc and still get kicked out.

I second this! It's unfortunate, especially since it costs assault points to enter.

When a character is logged out from an instance, the system cannot recognize whether it is a disconnection, an actual user logout, or if it was cleared. Due to this, if a character leaves an instance, the instance will be removed after a certain amount of time has passed. If these instances are not freed up in this manner then other users will not be able to use them. As such, this is why we have no plans to make adjustments to the time allotted in an empty zone when a player has been disconnected or otherwise. So please keep in mind that while it is possible to enter these instanced zones solo, it does not mean it’s a guarantee that you can clear it while solo.

You said a bunch of stuff, but you didn't actually give any reason as to why the timer can't be adjusted.

It's not that they can't, it's that they won't, for good reason at that. Short of updating the servers to support more instances or a truly instanced structure, they'd further increase congestion by upping the time or removing it.

But the instance would be taken anyways if you hadn't DCed. So they are basically kicking one person to give it to another person who probably doesn't exist. I mean how much congestion is actually in these zones?

I dont think anyone is askin for removal of the timer. just a longer timer.

We should definitely have a 5-10 minute window of opportunity to log back in and resume our run.

i think 6 minutes (double what it currently is) would provide plenty of time to log back in (assuming you don't have some internet problem) without causing any noticeable detriment to congestion.

Grekumah - this needs to be changed. This happened to me 3 times right before the Last Boss in Salvage II. I get disconnected and have to reboot the game from scratch. There's no possible way I can get back online in time before getting kicked out. We all know it takes a lot of steps and time to log back in. If it's 3 minute timeout, that's not enough time. It should be 10 minutes. That will give ample time for even a system restart and log back on. It kind of stinks to multiple times run through a whole run aiming to get a Linen Pouch just to get disconnected unexpectedly and booted out of the zone.

I got a crash to desktop on floor 6 just before I was about to engage Armored Chariot. I logged back in just where I was and resumed. Has something changed, or did I just log back in quickly enough that I didn't get booted?

You probably logged in within 3 minutes of crashing.
