how many of us have spent millions and millions of gil on stones or skirmish pops, only to get the wrong augs for that job? i have heard of players having to use 50-70 +2 wailing stones to aug 2 pieces of armor the way they want. i would definitly like the developers to consider some kind of choice or pathway option on skirm augs. that is the most frustrating thing ever to try and aug hag armor for a blm and get augs for a smn or blu, especially when i dont even have those jobs unlocked. and the more i spend on trying to get MaB augs instead of pet" augs, the more it makes me wanna say screw it. anybody else absolutely hate the current skirmish aug system?

Probably will never happen but certainly should've been the case from the start.

Except what you get 99% of the time is stuff you throw away, and cost you gil to get, so, you know, not at all like Christmas presents, more like gambling with a very low chance of winning.

Yeah there is already a big enough gamble with the ranges as is no need to add random stat in there too. I once threw 40 or so +2 stones at some Iuitl Wristbands and like 10 of those augments were MDB... <.<. Finally on the last one I finally got the snapshot I was looking for and wouldn't ya know it I only got +1. So yeah basically 20 mil down the drain just to get the minimum value on that... and that doesn't count all the +1 stones I threw at it which mostly resulted in no secondary stat at all.
Needs to at either be able to chose the stat or at least choose a smaller pool of potentials
Yeah I don't care for the augment system at all. Skirmish itself is decent enough, but these random augments just ruin it. When they announced Alluvion, everyone I knew just groaned at the thought of more lottery BS.
They had the right idea with the various stone types in Alluvion, but they had to give it the ol' SE Touch and make those stone types not a guarantee. I used four Leaftip +1 stones (the ranged augment type) on my Doomsday and got: Cure Potency +1, MDB +1, Haste +1%, and some other non-ranged stat. Really?
I'd vastly prefer being able to choose the augments we want and having to trade in stones as points towards them (with stuff like Double Attack needing more points, etc.). Sorta like Delve's Airlixirs. I wouldn't even care if it took longer. As long as I know I can work towards a guaranteed result.

The monstrosity augment system is pretty good.. sadly it's tied to bad gear and having to do monstrosity

i think SE did it this way because you get the gear ridiculously easy and fast. Otherwise the event would be over in a week. Need those time sinks.

I get them a lot too but I do play smn lol

Don't really need it to this degree though. Picky the stat or a smaller set of stats and still having it range would grant it longevity without a giant FU. Plus this is more of a gil sink than time

Sorta but here's the thing:
1. There are still blinkionaires out there so it's really no time for them. And aside from them some people can make money much faster than doing the event so can still max out within a day or 2 completely not preventing it from being old too fast
2. You can spend that time getting gil anywhere which means you aren't necessarily sinking it into the content. As such it doesn't actually increase the longevity of the content itself. A smarter idea would be to let's say with +2 stone make so you could say guarantee it choses between 1-2 stats on top of having higher ranges, with +1 stone maybe between 3-4 and with NQ all stats are available. Then make the stones non sellable

the non-sellable would be interesting. though once you have your gear, it would be difficult to get people to stay to get others their gear. kind of like the old days. the casual crowd would be in an uproar unless the content could be solo'd. Then we'd be back here on the forums with people complaining and requesting for the content to be nerfed.

Well they have added solutions to that. Add other reason that make people still want to do the event but not require them to do it. Like people farm delves they have all the gear for... part of that is plasm for ergon, part for plasm for other zones gears, and some of it is plasm for airlixer or just the money drops. High tier battlefields have what were decent selling synth items and pages on top of their ra/ex. Could also do a completely different incentive like good amounts of xp/cp.

ok SE, devs, yall pay attention. this is absolute BS! this whole lottery system for skirmish augs is flawed and stupid. FIX IT! 60+ +2 stones looking for a single aug for blm and all i get are summoner augs! i am about to start calling GMs to restore my +2 stones so i can at least get my gil back since SE is gonna waste time and gil on some random aug system that doesnt even stay within the same job parameters! as i said before, its BS to have to keep spending gil and throwing stones just for a single aug. its BS to have to farm gil and stones every frickin day just to get the augs u want instead of actually doing something that i want to do. so please FIX THE PROBLEM, OR AT LEAST RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM! i know SE has blinkers on when there is a problem found by players and doesnt give a crap about the players but sheesh! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
