The huge damage AOE I can sorta handle.... but that multiple Benediction....

Anyone been able to handle this guy yet? I got him down to 10% twice and he recovered it all. We were thinking get him down to like 12% and do a big skillchain... but Benediction recovers 99,999 damage so.... I guess 10% means we gotta do at least 10,000 damage in a single shot? Maybe more?

Rudra's Storm has been kicking butt lately. Any idea how to skillchain with that?

I've not played as of recently, so excuse me if this is a completely stupid idea, but... Meteor? I mean, it can't be resisted and it's DMG with 4~6 BLMs I'd think should be at least the 10k you're looking for if you've BLMs capable of hitting hard enough. So, it might be able to do the job. I dunno, maybe I'm just spouting nonsense. :x

Absolute terror it? Also have you tried fighting for awhile? A lot of mobs that can multi bene tend to either have some limit or get weaker each time they do it. Also noticed a lot of the new nms have some sort of gimmick to them

Also 99,999 is the display cap so it likely actually recovered more than that.

The fight is timed at 15 minutes and it's also tough to last that long against the guy. His AOE attack is pretty harsh.

Yes that's one thing I was afraid of.

Maybe there is some sort of time limit on it so if you zerg it can't reuse? Are the AoEs harsh enough where EA/scherzo would work?

The weird thing about the AOE was that it was one move, Leafstorm, that sometimes did devastating damage over 1000, sometimes fairly tame in the 300-500 range. We tried to zerg it as best we could, but our DD were a BLU and 2 THF, maybe not the best choice.

I know a bunch of Monks and 2 mythic Samurai. Been planning my rematch.

Assuming they are geared and know how to play with the new changes those thfs and blu might be better than the mnk. Not sure about the sams... most of sams power now is in the ability to constantly self skillchain with self which kinda goes away with several DDs on a mob. Hmmm so the dmg isn't nearly enough for EA/scherzo to proc. There might be something you were doing to change the dmg range worth looking for. Could use a run to lower the dmg. Throw on some baraera too.

I beat him, I'm not sure how. He spent time in single digit %HP and only used Benediction once. One thing I tried this time that didn't last time was I threw Dia on it. Going to take another shot and see what we can get.

It was either because we kept DoT on it or because SCH did that thing that created Ice weather around the NM.

I'd love to know more about this NM so if you discover anything further please let us know.

Yeah, Blu + 2xThf is actually pretty optimal about now, Sweeping Gouge Debuff, Requiescat > TA Rudra's > SA Rudra's for double darkness, then the Thf's switch places, and rinse repeat, did this last night and it's pretty damn devastating. Lowering it's resistances should make skillchain damage go higher this patch as well, so yeah have the bard do a an Ice/Water/Earth threnody of some sort.

Skillchains are unresistable now so not sure how threnodies would do much other than change which element deals dmg
