...Is this some kind of sick April Fool's Joke? 'cause that was yesterday, not today...

I can understand how it is concerning to not have a content ID available to you when you would like to play. However, Content ID concerns are related to the account, which requires Support Center assistance. I will be moving the thread accordingly to ensure you receive proper assistance.

I wouldn't have posted if I hadn't had several friends who also lost their content ID. If that was the case, I would have just bought another one.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the April subscription being free, and therefore, the system thinks we didn't pay.
my friend have same issue....

I always though it was dumb to do server maintenance that does not allow you to reactivate during the pay period.You would think they would have thought about fixing that years ago. I know it isn't that hard.

Ok so I realize that SE is only giving us 2 content ID's free for march. Cool i can handle that and am grateful.
So tonight im partying in Aby - La Thiene and I get kicked out of FFXI, but lets me reconnect. Only to see my main and first mule ever made deactivated, but the last 2 mules and ID;s purchased, were kept active. Wouldnt you think they would keep the 2 ID's that have been active since 03 active and cancel the last 2 activated 2 years ago? Really kind of irritated me since I cant even reactivate for over an hour.
posted in another thread then told about this one. So the questions is why? I paid march 1st. All aby add ons were paid then aswell (and have the transaction history to prove it)
fiance's account is talking about unpaid fee's yet we reactivated, at the same time, and paid at the same time, on the same card. Something is not right here. Although no transactions have gone through from SE i still cant activate my ID's and they were supposed to be free.

actually just thinking it over, we reactivated mid feb, paid the unpaid fees from previous, were billed march 1, 34.95 a piece (aby add ons, mules, monthly fee) so everything is paid. this really makes no sense. its only 5:30pm in japan someone should really give us a response to this, even if it is as simple as we will refund. Funny thing is, i can access PoL just have no ID's, Fiance cant even access PoL

well something was messed up along the way... think it would have been easier if they billed everyone and credited it right away... I have been on all night on both my accts, I just tried to log off one char to login on a mule and got kicked completely. Trying to login it said there was no content for the acct that I got kicked off, I don't even want to attempt doing anything with my other that is still logged in...

i was in an abyssea party, had been for some time, this is really their mess up, yet, we are paying for it. as usual.
30 mins and still no extension notice? Even SE usually says if there will be an extension before its past time. or at the very least with in the first 10 mins.

Same here pretty much. They simply closed eveerything as usual and are asking me to pay.
I thought April was supposed to be free so I used the money I had on my card. Guess I should've expected something like this to happen.

Way to go SE! almost an hour late, and not even so much as an extension message. Since we obviously paid for this month, i can complain. Really Really outrageous. If my company did this, yes MY company, i had have my neck bitten off. But i guess since your SE you get away with it right?

Seems as if on some accounts the process to waive April made the payment system think balances were not paid instead. Sigh.

I've got the same issue. My wife's account: fine. Mine: No content ID's. They're even off the same CC so this is REALLY odd to me.

well here is one for you, 2 hours after the maint was supposed to be done, its not. However on the PoL website, it says maint is complete, there is not even a notice anymore under server maint LOL. but still getting the same error when trying to reactivate, and still have no content ID. like i said if this were my my comapny, id be receiving calls threatening law suits (im not kidding it has happened to me before) but somehow bc its SE everyone looks away
But then again I only employ 87 people, vs SE's 3400

Nope. I signed into what I'm guessing was the CC update screen (not sure, hadn't had enough coffee at that point), and after signing in, got a message that overdue balances had now been paid. I'm guessing something got goofed in card verification because of the fee waiver and that once I signed into the update screen, my card was verified for the regular fees (though not charged). I was expecting to be required to re-complete all my CC information, but nothing of that sort happened. Still, when trying to go through the Character Reactivation Service on the POL web site I'm encountering a server maintenance error, so it looks like they are trying to fix without acknowledging the problem.

I had to pay the 9.99 for abyssea expansion that I got last month (no surprise there actually) now it's partly my fault cause I forgot to change my CC info before this month ... but you would think they would at least give me a chance to update my cc info before just pulling the plug and telling me I can't play. I'm gonna change the CC info as soon as they decide to let us know about the registration servers so they shouldn't be worried about that...

I have 2 accounts on the same credit card. My mule account is still working fine and yet my main account was shut down. When i went to fix the problem I got past the credit card fix part and now I am getting the UCS-5024 Invalid Process. Its really ticking me off. And on top of that cant call SE to fix it till monday morning.
People get to work and fix this problem this is stupid.

I have 2 accounts as well one is on ps2 other is on xbox which isn't working. I hope its fixed soon i been playing since 2004 and haven't changed any Credit Cards info.
Just FYI as noted elsewhere in the forums, the POL Europe site has updated the Information section with a Registration Server Maintenance Phase 2 extension with no set end-time. Good news, they are aware of and working on this. Bad news, no telling when it will be fixed.

Unfortunatly that could mean that they are either working on it now (Which I am hoping to god they are) or are putting off till monday to fix it (which if they are .... well I guess I won't be playing anymore :x)
Guess the only thing to do now is to wait and hope they are able to isolate what went wrong.
I just wanna reactivate and change my CC >.> then i'll be happy lol, kinda my own stupid fault anyway so I guess if I should be mad at anyone it should be me for putting it off.

I was able to log in as usual, no billing message, no unpaid message. But when I got to the "Play" screen, went past the little "I accept" screen. It said I had no Content IDs and won't let me look at my information, change it or reactivate. :/

so i was able to log on my char but my girlfried couldnt says she has no content id when not even like 5 hours ago she was leveling and farming her seals for her armor

So they updated the EU maintenance thread... but still nothing on the US side or are they just lazy?
Still getting an error also, so either it needs to still be "applied" or ... it's still broken.

Yeah, I just noticed they said they were done. But tried again and I still can't reactivate my characters and start playing. Did they only fix EU's problem?

I seriously hope they don't expect us to be happy that they just fixed the EU problem. They need to also update us US people as to why we are having these problems and not just leave us in the dark.

I was able to pay the 3 xpack that closed off my account and get to the list to reactive my content ID's and then I stopped when I saw that SE wanted to hit me with another $13.95 April fee...um....so yeah, not happy.
My husband account I tried to reactive his content ID's and it wouldn't even let me in, just error out when it tries to pull up his chars that are missing content ID's....

What makes it worse is today is Saturday so we will have to wait 2 more days to get it taken care of most likely.. I dont mind paying for the month at all as long as I can play NOW. I dont need their free crap.

I just tried to login and am having the No Content ID error. I get all the way to the play screen and then get the message. I go into reactivate and get another error. My BF and I both play and use the same CC, he is in just fine, while I am sitting here reading through the forums wondering what is going on.

Hopefully in this circumstance you won't have to pay a reactivation fee as the issue is on their end and we did not initiate the deactivation.

Play was fine yesterday.
This is grounds for a law suite. There had seriously better be an official response to this catastrophic problem very shortly. I can't even contact SE?! Who here has a law degree? Let's start something!

Probably SE playing a cruel joke on people. I know my card is in good standing, I was charged for March services in March, so I know I 'qualify' for the free month. The fact that NA people can't do anything about their accounts until 6 am ET tomorrow morning doesn't sit well with me. And the end result, I'll probably end up getting charged for April when May 1st comes around... I'll quit if it does... I demand compensation <.<;

The fact that NA people can't do anything about their accounts until 6 am ET tomorrow morning doesn't sit well with me.
No we can't get support until Monday morning 8AM PDT which is 11 EDT, 10 CDT and 9 MDT.

So...I too went to log in today only to find that I also had my ID's deactivated. I too have account pay off of the same card as my husband. He is playing currently and I can't. Now to make matters worse. My playonline password that I can use to log into my membership info on the actualy POL site will not let me log in on the POL screen in the game! Anybody else having this issue?

Just got my "trial" account activated but cant activate my long time account? Really? WTF is the issue. Works for some ppl & accounts but not all? Never had this issue in all the years i've played this game.

I don't know about you but this is getting further annoying due to the fact that we have not heard any word from Se on this matter and we may have to stick it out till monday (and even then not guaranteed fixed then!)
It just seems that SE is either taking their time fixing this without letting us know or not doing anything and just waiting till monday to do something in which case if I do have to wait to monday I may reconsider not reactivating my account at that time, this is very bad business on their part.

Their billing system has never worked and is archaic as all hell. So I'm not really surprised.
Not having dynamic billing from the day you signed up is already ridiculous enough in and of itself, let along the other weird ass quirks and having to take the system down to even process the payments. It's just embarrassing a multi-million dollar corporation has systems like this, today's problems aside.

I'm deadly serious. Anyone here with international and contractual legal experience? I truly believe a class action law suite is the only way to get the attention we deserve. This is truly unacceptable.

I would hope they know, these people are paid to sit on a forum and/or make sure their customers are happy, the fact that noone has replied or let us know that "Hey we're actively trying to figure out what's wrong" but nope, nothing. It's really getting on my nerve.

I lose my content ID's almost every pay period, i am starting to get really annoyed since i have to keep money on a 2nd credit card in case it does this to my husband and i at the same time, then it wont let one of us reactivate either account for 24 hrs.

I would hope that someone has let them know, I mean the typical function of a forum is to keep tabs on your player base or fan base and to ensure that nothing is going wrong and to at least try to let people know what is going on should something happen.

My service has been interrupted the 2nd of every month for 3 months now... When I call they can give me zero information as to why my content ID was revoked. Same Debit card I've used since 04' w/o any problems up until 3 months ago....

I just went through the Japanese support forums and apparently only one person has reported having this issue there.
There is a ISSUE that CONTENT ID is being removed. If its at all possible for you to address the issue we would greatly appreciate it. Do Not remove post without a response about the matter.
I also checked both the German and the French support forums and neither have any reports of this at all.

That announcement really doesn't explain anything though. It isn't acknowledging the mass numbers of people who were wrongly deactivated, and getting various errors. This is not the normal occurrence, there are scattered issues but not to this large of a degree, and to people who been using the same credit card without issues for years and never had any payment problems.
I always try to give SE the benefit of the doubt, but I hope at bare minimum on Monday there is an announcement that this was an error and the steps outlined to fix it. I hope the steps aren't call SE or spam update on their credit card for days, because on normal months the period after maintenance is a huge issue in updating cards. If that is the answer though at least let us know so we can do the steps, and give a small acknowledgement/apology for error. I don't think that is too much to ask, its basic customer service.

QFT, and they will magically forget this happend shortly after.
You guys are crazy, you got a free month and the game was only off for 2 weeks. You didn't get the free month cause they love you, you got it cause the service is having problems this month. You can't even complain you aren't getting the service you pay for cause you didn't.
Also keep in mind the staff here know as much as we do, they can only reply to us when SE in JP tell them something and give them the go ahead to actually post stuff. If they do anything else they would probably be fired.
There was a major disaster in Japan not long ago, where are all the high horse people riding in on their white steeds telling everyone this is only a game. They should of left the servers off for the full month, damn whiners.

Yeah JP can make giant working robots but they can't make a successful system at charging monthly fees? I spent all money on my card assuming that April was free and boom I was mistaken. I do appreciate the response from Jhanaka but I wish he would say whether or not I will have to pay for this month because I won't have any money till the 10th. It seems to be a problem with linked accounts more than single ones. My husband and I have linked accounts and I can log in, I just have no content ID, he can't log in at all. Says the reactivation server is an invalid process.
I hope they look into it quickly. Our kids are at gramma's tonight and we had the whole night to play!

That is incorrect. There are people with single accounts on a single credit card with issues. Remember that only a small percentage of people with this error will be posting on forums.

im able to log in but get the same valid code.. when they did the maintance last night them tryin to process the free fee they screwed something up , im jus prayin they do a emergency maintance asap i like to play this weekend cause by time SE opens monday ill have to get ready for work which im really gonna be very unhappy

Your right but u know they shoulda jus charged us the fee let it come out oof the accounts then turn around and refunded it would have been a alot better then tryin to tweak the system to let it be a free fee cause then one minor glitch or thing you do wrong and you have thousand of really really mad people

You know what the sad part about this is, SE is still gunna charge us to reactivate our contact IDs. I bet there is no problem, it is a scam by SE to at least make some money, since they're loosing so much this month. At least that's my opinion on the matter, but no way to prove it.

Same thing here :( No idea what's going on, can log into pol, but says I have no content ids, go to reactivate content and get this crappy message that says invalid process. Go to check membership info and get same stupid message. Money in account even though supposed to be free month. And sucks cause you can't get in touch with anyone at se because it's the weekend. Would just like to know what is going on, and why some ppl have no problem while alot of others are.

Honestly it took them long enough, but I must also look into the fact that it was well into the night over there when most of us got on and found out this was happening. Hopefully after a night's rest, we can all play again finally

it has nothing to do with that, if it did they wouldn't even lets us log on. im able to log on i just cant reactivate my id's keep gettin ucs-5024

Actually, it's happened to me before. I got kicked out of the game, thought it was billing, re-logged in, went right into the select screen and that's where I got the "U SHALL NOT PROCEED" message. I thought it was funny that they were actually giving me access to POL functionality, actually I thought that they had changed their policy to allow you to log into POL even with billing issues.

You are absolutely right but my friend that is not the problem or the situation here , if that was the problem we wouldnt be able to log on POL with out the warning of unpaid fee's, the problem my friend is that we can not access the member ship section or content ID section to re-activate our Content ID's
I mean yeah if what ur sayin was the problem i would be happy cause atleast i could reactivate it but thats not the case.
When they did something in there billing to process a free payment they did something tweak something they shouldnt or messed something up causing this issue its clearly a problme on there end not our card or money problem.

no this has nothing to do with unpaid Fee's.. is what im tryin to explain they screwed something up its like we are kicked out but same time were not they did something that cancel'd some's content id's and will not allow them to get in to reactivate, so it really nothin to do with a unpaid fee

This has happened to me every 2nd of the month for three months str8. No issue what so ever with funds. Same debit card I've paid with since 04'
