GM call response was to post a bug report :)

EDIT: Sorry, should have read the sticky. The info requested is:

Thread Title:
Unable to enter Nyzul Isle Investigation?

Platform:Windows 7

ISP:TV Cable of Grayson County

Type of Internet Connection:

Internet Connection Speed:
cable, 20 meg

Date & Time:
11/05/2014 @ ~30 mins before I posted this,

Frequency:
frequency was every time I tried (incl after zoning),

Character Name:
Arketa

Race:
Mithra

World:
Lakshmi

Main Job:
99THF

Support Job:
49DNC

Area and Coordinates:
Nyzul Isle staging point@the Runic Portal

Party or Solo:
solo

NPC Name:
None

Monster Name:
Name of monster that your character was battling against when the issue occurred.
*If you were not battling against any monster, then please write “None”.

Steps:

I took the quest/mission to do Nyzul investigation and forgot about it. Went to the portal in Aht Urghan and got sent to Nyzul, ofc. Didn't think about it, and went to exit to salvage, and it gave me the message about not being able to leave the staging point due to having Nzyul orders. So, I thought "Okay, I'll do that instead/first" and went and got an armband from the Immortal. When I cilck the runic portal to enter, however, it simply says "Nothing happens..." I did a search to see if maybe it was full, but there's no-one in the zone. I left back for AU Whitegate via the portal and came back, and still get "Nothing happens..." when I try to enter NI Investigation.

TL;DR Have all key items, still can't enter empty Nyzul Isle investigation.

IDK if it's down? I thought it gave a message indicating it was down, but it's been a few years since I've played and it's been down.

Teegrins, Adrianne!

I suspect you actually completed the mission (failure or success), but did not report back to Rytaal yet.

Could this be what's happening?

I can re-produce what you describe by entering and exiting the mission, and not reporting to Rytaal about it.

I hope this helps!

You mentioned that you do salvage. Make sure you don't have any salvage cells in an of your inventories.

Yeah, I think when I d/c'd the other day I must've made it past the menu. I'd been assuming I did not.

Maybe it should... say something LOL (Or at least not give the armband? The game obv knows whether your orders are valid or not)

Sorry, I feel silly now. I guess I just delete this thread?

I'd say it is best to never delete posts especially when they're support requests like this.

Posts containing answers to problems often help other users to solve their issues as well, if/when they make use of the search feature, or otherwise happen to bump into the thread.

I would also suggest you to not feel silly about something like this. I'm sure you're not the only, nor the last one to be confuddled by the system like so!

I'm glad it was as simple as this, and not something more serious-like. ^^
