Technically this extends to most crafts but I do cloth so that's all I care about :D

Why is it when you HQ a thread or cloth synth you don't get anything extra? I know with rare exceptions (Iron > Steel Ingot) it's the same with most crafts, but why? Most synths these days you have to HQ to make money, but these basic synths yield no extra benefits for HQing. I'd like to see this changed not only because I think that's the way it always should have been, but also because it will help crafter in general since mats will become more readily available and it'll get high level crafts to make basic ingredients to resell to the community. And lets face it, crafting is almost dead since there aren't many new synths being added, so it'd help to get people interested in crafting again. Oh ya, and more lvl 100 Clothcraft synths please! It's so hard to find something to cap out on!

True, you can HQ lumber and that's the same equivilant as thread.

Upping the yield on threads and cloths only makes sense. Take sheep's wool. So you shear a sheep and get its fur to make wool. Wouldn't a more skilled crafter be able to get more wool? Maybe lower-skilled crafters end up wasting some of the fur.

I've often wondered why woodworkers can HQ their lumber but no one else can HQ their base synths... At the same time, why can't Clothcrafters make 3 cloths at once, like Smithing/Goldsmithing can make 3 chains or 3 sheets at once?

Because in leveling woodworking, you will litteraly go through thousands upon thousands of lumbers. If you couldnt HQ them.. then noone would ever have leveled it lol

I leveled WW on another character and my only thought was, "This has to be a joke." I was 65 in a day will less then 400k invested into the craft wereas CC took months and well over a million.
