View Full Version : [dev1005] New areas for fellows: but they still don't like the cold or beastmen :(

I'm very excited that the developers are going back to adventuring fellows...but I want her to come with me where I need her most, and there's no storyline explanation why she can't travel to, say, La Vaule [S] with me (she can travel to the past, so she should be able to come to past beastman strongholds with me).
Wajaom Woodlands, Bhaflau Thickets, Mount Zhayolm, Aydeewa Subterrane, and Caedarva Mire are nice, but a halfhearted start, in my opinion. The logic is easy to follow: Aht Urhgan areas that aren't beastman strongholds. But of those areas, the only two that I feel will greatly benefit from having fellows available are Caedarva Mire and Mount Zhayolm.
I feel fellows are really needed in
Halvung / Arrapago Reef / Mamook
Beaucedine Glacier [S] / Xarcabard [S]
La Vaule [S] / Beadeaux [S] / Castle Oztroja [S] / Castle Zvahl Baileys [S] / Castle Zvahl Keep [S]
The areas I listed above are where I, as a level 90 player, still miss my adventuring fellow for solo efficiecy and safety. I am happy that Liabelle finally will get her Boarding Pass to Aht Urhgan, but she needs to be a little less scared of Beastmen and the cold.

I sound less grateful and happy than I am. I'm pumped. This announcement gives me hope, and that's why I let out my greatest wish for fellows.

This is just a start. I am sure they are going to go up as future updates are set in place. Give em time!

I like the game and all, and I do not know what it is like to be a programer but I will still make this comment.
NPC is 70, we are 90, they had the time, they could of thought about lifting NPC cap and enter abyssea when we hit 85 with second abyssea

Well think back on how long it took them to finish off storyline for actual game expansions. We had to wait a long time to get the second half of WotG. I am sure they have a lot of stuff on their plates with new expansions, gear, quests, missions and all the other stuff they are doing, not to mention the bugs they are still fixing. While adventuring fellows are a great time and idea, really they kind of fit into the same category as things like chocobo raising and pankration, fun stuff to do on the side. They really don't effect game play or storylines. I love my adventuring fellow and I am more excited about this part of the update than any of the other stuff added in the updates for the last year. Honestly I am glad they got some love finally!

LOL! No kidding, the storylines can be confusing. The adventuring fellow storyline is on of my very favorite in the game. Hope it continues being as enjoyable!

hehe i like ripokeke! I will agree with you, one of my favoerite as well
though I do not understand how they first came about, it started out with that mithra wanted help to find this mirror and the quests after that went deeper into it.
I remember being touched from some of the CS but been so long now I hardly remember them
