For anyone that doesn't know, a 401 error leads to a 24 hour block on your account of using the same type of payment method. If you try again, or multiple times, it can lead to a 30 day block on your account.

Why on earth is this implemented like this??!!

Last night when I tried to re-sub, as usual, I got a 401 error (I have had this error for months and usually pay with Paypal). Not really knowing what it was or what it meant, I retried a couple times, and then tried a couple other credit cards. 401 error each time. I've now very likely, and unknowingly, created a huge time block on my account.

Again, why is this even possible? Why not post a warning or explanation of what a 401 error means so we don't sit there like complete idiots locking ourselves out further out of our accounts??!! Why not just disable payment options entirely after a block so we can understand what's going on without digging ourselves in deeper?

And on that note, FIX THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR PAYMENT SYSTEM. Stop trying to pass it off on our banks. It's not our banks! At the very least, I know for a 100% certainty that it's not my bank. There are so many people having 401 problems it's mind-boggling, and now that UP has been discontinued we no longer have a way to pay or play.

On that note, for a business not to have the option to pay with Paypal is ludicrous, or at least some other option than just credit card only.

I feel you. This is one of the reasons I am not going to jump through hoops to pay another way. Chances are I will just spend my time fruitlessly and end up really angry and still not be able to pay/play.

call your bank after the first reject, its being rejected most of the time because of banks blocking suspicious spending. Se uses another company to process the credit cards and there base isnt in the USA so most banks there will flag it over that

It's not my bank. Already talked with them. As have majority of the people that are getting this error.
