New lot options?

How about a pass all button instead of having to pass items individually, or maybe even the shock and horror of a selectable loot selection?

My last MMO had a system where there were 3 tiers of drops and you could automatically pass on set items.

tier 1 could be things like bat wings, gob masks etc.
teir 2 is crystals.
tier 3 is seals/pop items etc.
tier 4 is gear.

I believe the expanded answer would be we don't want tons of people crying they forget about their settings and accidentally drop things they really wanted because well we already have threads about people pressing a good dozen separate button presses to drop some ra/ex complaining about how they dropped the item. I can honestly understand why they wouldn't want to deal with a mess like that

I'm not really sure what the trouble is that you want to prevent?

The worst thing that can happen is someone doesn't get an item they wanted because they unintentionally used this hypothetical command. That's their own fault and not something you should feel the need to prevent.

(I'm honestly a little tired of how overprotective the game can be sometimes in regards to items).

Yeah the trend seems to be that the development team is always catering to the lowest common IQ. So many safety net measures to prevent inattentive people from messing up, making trivial things so much more inconvenient for the rest of us.
