Having to repost this since you moved my previous post to "insufficient information" so I can't respond to it (d'oh!!!) Anyways here's the information you requested.

ISP: Andrew & Arnolds
Type of Internet Connection: Fibre
Internet Connection Speed: 18MB
Date & Time: 11/09/2014 13:00 GMT
Frequency: Always
Character Name: Hunibubu
Race: Tarutaru
World: Phoenix
Main Job: Summoner
Support Job: White Mage
Area and Coordinates: Batallia Downs and Rolanberry fields (all of it)
Party or Solo: Both
NPC Name: x
Monster Name: x
Steps:
1. Rest when in possession of a clear abyssite
2. Kill monster
3. Repeat from 1

Issue is that the abyssite is not upgrading since the update this morning. After spending over 2 hours and destroying over 100 tier 1 NMs in areas outside of Jeuno it became clear that it wasn't just taking a long time but that the abyssite wasn't going to upgrade. I had no other abyssite in my possession.

Update on Area and Coordinates: May also include La Theine Plateau, wasn't getting an upgrade after several attempts.

maybe its bad luck.... but i will test to see if this is happening to me as well

Follow-Up: After 4 kills, i got a color change from clear to colorful in La Theine Plateau....next test will be in batallia downs and rolanberry fields

Edit:

Follow-up 2: After 1 kill, i got a color change from clear to colorful in Batallia Downs. Maybe you are just having a huge amount of bad luck, but i had no issues on color changes.

Odd, I must be having massive bad luck then since I've had no change for 2.5 hours. :-/

Follow-up: Upgraded today finally, must be a new record of 107 kills before an upgrade.

Yeah i've had that problem w/ abyssea VNM's ....took me a record of 37 tries to get a tier 2 pop to change to a tier 3 pop for 2 colorless souls
