Unable to install on XBOX 360

Hello,

I'm a PC player who recently bought a copy of Seekers of Andouin for my Xbox from Amazon so i could play there as well. I went through the install and got playonline all setup but when i get to the point where i need to install the game things break down. I get to a menu where i choose install, either the POL menu or the POL loading prompt, and choose to install FFXI, the screen goes black for a few seconds then i see the blue screen saying that "Final Fantasy XI is not installed" please reinstall with an Ok button, i click OK and then it says installation aborted. I seem to be in this endless loop that i can't get out of.

Did you have the Xbox 360 game before? Did you just buy a Seekers of Adoulin disc or a Seekers of Adoulin Collection disc? If the former, you bought an expansion only, it doesn't have the core game and requires a Collection disc to install (PlayOnline Viewer is on every install disc), while if you bought the latter, you should be able to install from the menu. It really sounds like you just bought an expansion, which requires the core game to be installed first. Xbox discs with the core game on them that exist are as follows: Treasures of Aht Urhgan Collection (Xbox 360 initial release disc), Wings of the Goddess Collection, Ultimate Abyssea Collection, Ultimate Seekers Collection.

Wings of the Goddess and Seekers of Adoulin exist as individual expansion discs, assuming you had the previous expansions already. Individual expansions were $10 cheaper than Collections.
