New Players before World Merger

Is there any way development could be informed of the individuals who would like to make characters on servers that are involved in the future world merger. In example, my little brother wants to start on the same server as me. (Phoenix) Is there anyway possible this could be done before May. That's a significant amount of time to wait. I would hate to be forced to have him start a character, delete it, and then after the merger let him start from scratch.

I'm in the same situation, my brother wants to make a character to play with me as well. Depending on when in may they do the update/mergers that could be over a month from now. Its EXTREMELY irritating.
