Ferreous Coffin will not Haste resummoned Trusts

Steps:
I was doing Campaign Battle within Castle Zvahl Baileys [S] when I first summoned my Alter Egos I did it in the following order:
Kupipi, Ferreous Coffin, and then Ulmia.

I engaged a Fortification near Campaign NPCs to have Kupipi buff them with Protectra V and Shellra V, I then dismissed her and summoned Lhu Mhakaracca in her place.

Once I re-engaged the Fortifications I noticed that Ferreous Coffin would refuse to cast Haste on her at all.

I then dismissed all 3 Alter Egos and summoned them back in the following order:
Lhu Mhakaracca, Ferreous Coffin, and then Ulmia.

I then engaged the Fortifications once more and he then placed Lhu Mhakaracca into his Haste rotations like normal.

As I recall, Ferreous only casts on the person who is holding the enemy's attention, i.e. the person with highest hate. If said Trust doesn't have hate (if you're hitting far harder, or WS'd early or something) then they won't get Haste cast on them period. The only thing Ferreous casts on people who aren't highest hate is cures; he won't even -na or erase anyone else. He's a focused healer.

Is it possible that the first time, you just maintained hate, while the second time you did something different? Because I've never seen Ferreous doing Haste rotations in the past unless hate bounced.

There is no mentioning of Trust: Ferreous Coffin only casting Haste on targets with current hate. He always had a Haste rotation as Trust. As mentioned in my steps, I summoned Kupipi, Ferreous Coffin, then Ulmia. He Hasted me and himself only, seems to always avoid Hasting other mages. Then I dismissed Kupipi to summon Lhu Mhakaracca in her place, he completely ignores using Haste on her and himself afterwards.

I then dismiss all my Trusts and resummon again in the following order: Lhu Mhakaracca, Ferreous Coffin, and finally Ulmia. He then used Haste properly again on me, Lhu Mhakaracca, and himself. Seems like a bug with Alter Ego placement in Party.

But like I said, never heard about him casting Haste on target holding hate only cause he always Hasted me and himself when I used him regardless of who held hate. This is news to me unless you are refering to the Freelance himself in the shadowreign era?

It works as Ken explained. He doesn't cast on players that don't have hate. I don't know if that generalizes to all trusts, but it's definitely true of him.

I see there is a bit of confusion. I wasn't sure I could put it all in the title upon creation of the thread, but I am refering to the Trust version of Ferreous Coffin. Trust: Ferreous Coffin was not keeping Haste rotations as normal when dismissing one of the original Trusts and summoning another. I'm not talking about the Freelance in person, just his alter ego.

I've been using FC since day one, and he only casts Haste on whoever has hate. It's the first thing he does before anything else (assuming there isn't someone in yellow HP, or the person with hate has a debuff needing to be removed). What that means is as soon as you engage a target, he will cast Haste on you, and if you have a trust that can take hate away from you, he will cast it on them the moment they have the target's attention (again, assuming no debuffs on the person with hate, or anyone in yellow HP). He seems to be set so that he focuses on the person with enmity before anyone else. There is no "Haste rotation" with the Trust version of FC. I believe he is set to conserve MP, and only use it when necessary.

Since you're referring to a Fortification, a target that cannot attack back, and this only happened once, I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to report. I use FC all the time, and he almost always has focus on the person with hate (even if they only have it for a moment before you regain it back). He will not Haste other trusts, including himself (unless he gets hate). He also does not remove debuffs from anyone besides the current "tank", although I believe he will remove paralysis from himself before trying to remove it from the tank. There were a few times where I had been paralyzed, but since I couldn't attack, another trust took hate, and he removed paralysis from them, and never from me (unless I somehow managed to regain the monster's attention).

I don't think there is any confusion, since I seriously doubt people are concerned about what the Campaign version is doing >.> If you want everyone to have Haste, I think Cherukiki will give everyone in the party Haste.

When you resummoned, I can only assume that Lhu took the fortification's hate for a moment, but since that target does not attack, there is no way to tell.

Ah, ok. I guess I never noticed it then really because it's easy to bounce hate on campaign battle monsters with Trusts and iLv119, etc.. Thanks everyone for clearing that up for me. I feel derp now. D:
