View Full Version : Player deliberately making gate crystal untargetable

So I have a new character going round getting gate crystals but she can't get Holla because there's an AFK WHM sitting right where the crystal is and I cannot target the crystal!!!

I tried first-person, zoomed-out third-person, F8 .. the crystal just can't be targeted because the bloody WHM is positioned deliberately to prevent it.

How do I report this?

[edit]

After 10 mins I got it, but only when the nearby mobs weren't in range for F8 to hit them, then it hit the Telepoint but it's bloody absurd than a PC sitting on the crystal can cause this.

As you can guess, F8 will prioritize mobs. Therefore position yourself so that there are no mobs on your screen, which shouldn't be too hard.

Also did you consider killing the mobs?

I wouldn't say they're deliberately doing it, if you use a tele-spell it pops you right there. Someone can easily go afk as they cast it, I've slept a few nights on them before due to my party finishing something and someone asking for a tele even though I went to sleep as soon as we finished, only to end up waking up right on top of it. That said, I think we should be spawned near it, not inside of it.

Deliberately? Seriously friend... next you'll say they're elitist RMT windower hackers.

Anyway, hilariously paranoid accusations aside... These people probably teleported out of an event and fell asleep, or hit tele and went afk for something IRL. If you can't target an NPC because someones standing in it pressing F-8 can target any Non-Player Character. face a wall or kill an enemy if its it he way, but also using this handy command:

/target <stnpc>

Will only target NPCs, and allow you to hit tab to cycle through them. This is a real handy command, I'd remember it.

AKA theres several ways around this, and I get you didn't know them, but threatening to report them and saying they're deliberately trying to screw you? Seems paranoid parrot.

Edit:

Yes... wish there was a way to educate people on the <stnpc> and such commands.
