Have I got the idea for you. How about you let people change their hairstyles in game and charge 5 dollars per use?
This can be an easy system to implement, and I can happily show how it can be put in.
Ok, first thing's first:
Step 1: Go to the Square Enix Account login and type in your information, then go to your select service for Final Fantasy XI.
Step 2: Select which Playonline account you wish to access, then go down to the bottom of the next page. Underneath the World Transfer Service purchase option, there -can- be the option to purchase a character identity change. This can be used to alter the face of your character (As it's not natural to just change the -race- of someone, so we'll go with something that -can- be changed, like hairstyles!)
Step 3: Input your payment method and means to pay for the service, and then click accept.
Step 4: Log into Playonline Viewer, and go to Final Fantasy XI, and go to your character selection screen. What's this? Instead of a yellow name that denotes you have to change your character's name after either transferring a server or a server merge, your character's name is blue! What does this mean? Click to find out with this message.
"This character currently has a pending service attached to it, do you wish to use this service? Note that changes will be unchangeable after you complete the service."
Step 5: After you hit yes to that, it'll take you back to the character creation menu, but it's a little cut down to save space and not create a hassle for the devs. Instead of something fancy, it's just the menu where you originally selected your character's hairstyle. After clicking the style you want, then you click between either Option A or Option B. After that is done, you'll hit accept, and of course it'll prompt if you are really satisfied and wish to continue. Hit yes to complete the service, and your character's face style will have changed.
(Please SE, I'm tired of my main character being a brunette, can this become a reality? It's been literally 12 years)
