View Full Version : We have to stand around for 2 min. after zoning before doing anything? Permanently?

So we have to stand around for 2 full minutes after zoning before we can summon alter egos and get to work? And I assume this applies to battlefields too, even battlefields that AUTOMATICALLY INITIATE within a few seconds of zoning in, like The Gates? A solo player will fail the entire battle in under 2 minutes without alter ego support, and HEY, guess what? Since it starts automatically and alter egos can't be summoned during battle, that means no alter egos in The Gates mission.

Is this a pesky glitch we have to live with for a month, or a stupid idea that is being permanently implemented for no apparent reason?

Another question:

If only party leaders can summon alter egos, why aren't you letting us make alliances so at least three friends could summon alter egos together? Could you consider allowing this in the future?

Edit:
I apologize for the tone, but the 120-second thing is ridiculous, and it wastes a lot of time, and like I said, it makes alter egos unusable in The Gates. The alliance thing seems like the logical solution to the system's glitches when non-leaders summon alter egos, so why are we being denied the ability to summon them in alliances?

While I can't guarantee they meant this, I took away from the post that the 120 second delay was only present if you zoned with leader or created a party. That may not be the case, but here's to hoping.

「エリア移動後120秒間はフェイスを呼び出せない」

I do not remotely pretend to be fluent in Japanese. (Though I should be, sigh.) But when I first tried to parse that it seemed like you had 120 seconds to summon, not that you had to wait. So yeah, I dunno.

EDIT: Yep, apparently I got it backwards. I need to go back to Japan.

パーティリーダーは最後に誰かを誘ってから120秒経過すると、フェイスの呼出が可能になります。

And according to the other post the 120 second delay will also apply when you invite someone to the party. Trusts will disappear and you'll need to wait the 120 seconds to call them back. <_<;

Seems like they are trying to ruin Trusts in parties, they are making restrictions which make absolutely no sense and only needlessly restrict an already eh system in any sort of high level content... This is just asking for Trust parties to not be bothered with.

No. I really don't think so.

Trust is one of the more popular features in the game right now, and they have no reason to ruin it like that just because. If anything I'd guess the problem comes from how the system is implemented and how Trusts are handled as full fledged party members. It is probably some annoying coding issue or something of the sort, and this kind of delay was implemented to avoid some nasty bugs/glitches that could appear. This way they could still make it possible to party with Trusts in this update while giving themselves time to work on fixing the system.

Now if we were talking about how they actively mess with RDMs all the time then I'd completely agree, but they wouldn't mess with Trusts.

PS > If it had been me I'd probably had delayed the Trusts in party with players further and instead given Fellows a stronger recovery rate like the one Trusts enjoy and an increase in XP gain. Along with giving the Pearl a 5-10 min cooldown.

The only reason players don't use Fellows is more often is due to leveling and because Trusts recover way faster both on the field and after being defeated than fellows do.

That's to me more a reason why they should just revamp fellows rather than put restrictions on Trusts like this though. I understand some need for a delay for bugs to be avoided and such but 2 minutes seems like far too long a time in my opinion. That especially becomes an issue when it resets and depops all Trusts every time a person is invited/joins the party. Think about Skirmish, you're using Cherukiki for WHM and Ulmia for BRD, while fighting a NM a member who DCed earlier returns. Now you're between inviting them and losing your Trust members or leaving them out and making the fight harder than it should be due to the fact you can't simply invite them. It's not a 100% likely situation, but the idea that there are restrictions like this in place for such a long time, as well as the whole fact we can't summon them again during a fight(which I hate...) makes this seem so restrictive and poor...

alot of bcnm areas you are technically in the zone before u enter the battle, is that no tthe case for The Gates or whatever? Also alot of this stuff you are complaining about is just temporary. most of them they said they were working on.

Not only is that an issue, But with the (i assume) xbox "Lag" we have to deal with it's impossible. When are they going to fix that? If a person on xbox is in a hurry to get to ls event, has to zone several times, or whatever, this dam 20 sec lag window is ruining the game. I have already known many who have left because of it. Add that to trust/fellow time and the game can become too much trouble to play. Its strange. On my mules of level 15 and 13 i have 0 lag on zone/warp/log-in. But get the locker in Whitgate and it starts to build from there. There has to be something that can be done before all the xbox people leave this game like the french/german/EU that have gone. Missing my PC badly :(

They said the delay is to prevent a bug with Trusts in parties, and when they fix it they will remove the limitation. WIth battlefields, you don't summon inside, you summon before you click the item to enter the battlefield. You cannot resummon inside a battlefield because of aggro.

I believe they said that this is also one of the issues if they were to keep adding more storage locations like sacks and satchels. It would increase the loading times after zoning for everybody.

SE has already said they can't fix the xbox lag as it's not on their end fixable.

If they're going to force a wait of two minutes then they need to extend the battlefield timer by two minutes as well to compensate, especially since the problem is on their end. You don't penalize the players because you don't have your own act together.

Why make the time inside a bcnm that you can use them longer when you have to pop them out before entering?

I just did The Gates. I was able to summon Alter Egos without a problem.

Yeah, it turns out that despite what they said, if you're solo, you DON'T have to wait after zoning. I guess it's only in a party where you have to wait after zoning.

And to people talking about battlefield entry, for SoA "battlefields", you actually zone into the Delve/Skirmish dungeons to start the battle, so NPCs disappear.

Believe this was a translation flop. I've been helping some random people duo mission BCs (dat 15k bayld!) and after zoning into Cirdas U, there's no delay in summoning NPCs. I haven't tried, but I'd imagine the only time you're locked out for 2 minutes is when you create a fresh party. Zoning seems to have no effect on it as far as I've seen. Changing the leader also has no effect pre summoning the trusts within the BC. Haven't tried changing leader once trusts are out.
