View Full Version : Dynamis Issue (Not Entirely a Glitch?). Be careful.

It might be Old news, Maybe not, my GF Was doing Dynamis Xarcabard (I was not there, But in the room with her), And they seemed to accidentally discover if you 1-shot an Eyeball, It will not trigger the event to spawn the Mobs.

Apparently in doing this certain NMs did not spawn, And because of that they were unable to spawn the last Time-mob, and Dynamis Lord never spawned. So while doing Dynamis (Xarc at least), Be careful not to 1-shot Eyeballs, Or it won't load the Mobs its suppose to.

(Think of it like Killing a Beastmaster mob, If you 1 shot it, His pet will simply despawn instead of initiating the "Rape you" command, in Dynamis, If you 1-shot an Eyeball, it will not initiate the "load NM/mob" command, and you will not be able to spawn that NM/Mob afterwards)

This likely is not a glitch, as shown with the Beastmaster mob thing, just a programming over-sight as at level 75 Is was probably impossible to 1-shot Eyeballs, but at 90 its possible (The Culprit in this situation, was IIRC Jishnu's Radiance, 1 shotted it at a distance before aggro)

Just thought i'd let people know =.=a.

Have a good Evening~

It's always been this way with all eyeballs and statues in all the Dynamis zones. I'm not sure if it qualifies as a glitch because it's always been that way or no one has just ever complained about it so the developers didn't know.

Wierd, my dynamis group always time-nukes the eyes and we still get the pops, does it work differently if it's done that way?

If you use timed nukes, it's not a one shot kill. The server has time to spawn the mobs even if it's just a millisecond of time passing between the nukes. If it is a one hit kill, there is 0 time to do this.

I'm not sure if you hit a different glitch, but your assertion about the mechanics is incorrect. If you one shot a statue in Dynamis it does spawn all of it's "children", but they spawn without aggro.

Only if the Dynamis status is an MP or HP statue. It doesn't die right away, it has that microsecond where it stops to refill everyone's MP and HP. The mobs that this kind of statue spawns do not aggro, as you stated.

If you one shot a regular Dynamis statue it won't spawn any mobs. This hasn't changed since Dynamis came out.
