What about the possibility of having Guild Point items from the log in campaign? Something along the lines of the Mog Pell (Gold), but more specific to getting just those relevant currencies and/or GP.
It can take a very long time to obtain GP and even a minor boost would be appreciated, it doesn't need to be game breaking, but being able to get a couple extra thousand GP per event would go a long way.
Thoughts?

I wonder if they could implement an item that would grant us guild-points, or something similar. I bet I'm not the only one who'd find that worth their points.
...I do believe it would be a good idea, though I would certainly not stop there.
I believe it should be time to revamp the system so that they are more quick-like to gather in general. It takes quite a bit of time to collect all the items for all the crafts at whatever level they are. I don't think it should be that way.
Even a few crafts take a small eternity.
Perhaps there is hope for this to happen when they revamp crafting altogether, but of course, that's not going to happen but in the distant worlds in time afar.

Sorry about that, I did a quick search through the forums and hadn't seen anything regarding this topic specifically. I should have been more thorough.
I agree completely with your point; a revamp on the crafting system is long overdue. I think that is one of the few systems in this game that has been, for the most part, left alone since the game came out.
As I'm sure many moons will pass before a full crafting overhaul, especially since balance is important, I would gladly spend log in points or even gil to get GP up quicker.

Meh, it's good to have a dedicated topic for this, methinks (I had actually been thinking about creating one myself, but my ramblings oft go unnoticed, so I usually leave this stuff to other users).
There have been some official posts about upcoming revamps for crafting, though at this very moment, I forget if it was just a “we'd like to revamp the whole system”, so it would be far from a promise.
I do believe there is something brewing though, and it might not even take that many moons to become something tangible. ^^
I do say I support this 110%!
