View Full Version : New Seekers mission fight "The Gates" anyone tried it?

How tough is it? I heard it was one of those fights where you fight a lot of relatively weak enemies and have to keep some NPCs alive. I just got the cutscenes this morning, hoping to try to put together a shout group today or tomorrow during NA prime time.

I would but can not get a single soul to join which is extremely aggravating.

I did put together a group in /yell pretty quickly last night. MNK/DNC WHM/SCH BLU/DNC SMN/RDM. Not terribly difficult. The 5 NPCs seem pretty durable so don't have to worry too much about them. The umbrils' various status afflictions get bothersome real quick so need a good WHM to get those cured. Esuna is your best friend. Hate control is tough with that many weak mobs after you.
Leafallia was kind of disappointing... really small zone.

I have hopes that if SE ever looks into phasing content that this would be a prime zone to do so in.
On topic, Blm and Geo wreck this fight pretty easily. Firaga and Fira with good nuking sets can 2-3 shot the groups.
