The English text is incorrect as it should say the reduction is increased from 30% to 50%, as noted in the japanese version:

Instead of:


Geomancer
The amount of damage luopans take innately will be reduced from 70 percent to 50 percent.

[Kensagaku]

...No? They mean the same thing. Both are essentially saying they went from DT-30% to DT-50%, just worded differently; one uses damage taken (i.e. reduction from 100%) and the other uses damage reduction (i.e. total taken compared to 100%).
