View Full Version : Reduce Generated Imperial Army I.D tag

Can we get reduce time for generated imperial army i.d tag, its so long to wait 24 hours per 1 tag to be generated.. since not many ppl using that tag anymore (took long time to get nyzul to 100 floor and also complete all assault for mythic weapon requirement)

Well in general they should just reduce everything to one hour including Campaign ops, Coalition tags, meeble sacks, voidstones, etc.

As much I would love this, I strongly doubt they would because it ties into the Mythic quest line and the time-sinks it demands. For some reason, our XI developers are very protective over the Mythic weapons, but not as much with Relic and Emp. weapons.

I don't assault that often (though I have done some since they let us go in solo), but it would be nice, as an alternative, to increase the maximum number of tags.

Lol yeah, but at the time all the dynamis money was being put into ls coffers, and by default to ls leaders, rather than the group as a whole, so for that time they were for more casual players, or even for the die hards that didn't want to wait 20 rl years to get a weapon
We've been asking for work to be done on those I.D. tags for years. It never occurred to me for some reason to just increase the supply of them or to refresh them faster, but don't be surprised if Cam comes here and explains again the complexities of working on the I.D. tag situation, which frankly will come across, as usual, as "we rather watch paint dry" so yeah... at least it's not that big of a deal as it was years ago, which is why it'll never be worked on. Sadly.

Well in fairness, had people "did the content correctly" then mythics might have served the purpose they were designed for. Unfortunately for SE, even after several years they were so out of touch with their customers that they never imagined that the playerbase would not be happily grinding the mythic quest line for years to come, "correctly" as they imagined.
And in fairness to that fairness, SE chose to do mostly nothing whatsoever and instead embracing this over done weapon quest line because super rare items are such a big plus in MMOs to keep the kids around and paying for years to come. When they see people have largely stopped trying to farm mythics, and by largely I mean like nearly no one is bothering anymore, then and only then will they do something serious about it, and that's just the moment they say, "let's do something about this" then there's that 6-12 month wait because of that priorities list of theirs. In some cases it takes years, as we all unfortunately know all too well.

I would rather have them remove the limit on the amount of tags you can have stored. Same with OPs credits in the Past.
Once upon a time those limits served a purpose, but not anymore.

The posts with people asking for huge changes in still fun content is frustrating.
Why not just log in to your mog and have a list of rem weapons you can just take without having to do anything?
Why not just make crafts 100 for everyone? Why not give everyone 100mil gil for fun?
This is where the game seems to be going make everything so easy as to pander to impatient people to keep them playing.
Ignoring the fact a lot of people started this game and continue for the challenge various events bring.
No one could say fixing things like toau king pops and other quality of life stuff like salvage and assaults having lower restrictions is a bad thing.
But allowing people to progress with one person entry(fix) and allowing them to do them all in 5 days(nerf) is not the same thing.
Mythic is the only really long term aim you can now have in this game should they remove that too?
If those who seek to dumb down ffxi any more than it currently is succeed, we may as well just log in to everything available.

I was going to post in total agreement to the OP but Rainehx makes a good point.
I don't want the game made so easy. Really I think what I wish for is having the tags separated by event. So many times I have been frustrated by people not wanting to use up their tags (or they didn't have any available) when I needed help catching up.
Sure everything is more lowman friendly now, still this is an MMO and I like to enjoy content with others instead of feeling like this is a solo game with a Yahoo Messenger component. Then of course there are lamps and certain Assaults that would go better with more people.

I'd be happy if se just took out max tag cap off and made captain rank just cause tag timer to cycle down faster, instead of just letting u hold one more.

It's not making things easy. I could smash my head against the wall for the next 2 months and finish my RDM Mythic if I cared to but I just don't, not because it's hard, but I despise wasting my time when I've so little of it as it is. I could triple box every Assault in the game between my character, my friends, and my GFs, if I needed an extra hand I could wait till my GF is home to do it, or ask a friend I know who's done every Assault.
I see no challenge in doing Assaults, it's not hard and I see no fun coming from it. If anything is frustrating, I think it's frustrating when I can amass my 30,000 Alexandrites, get all of my Ichor, obtain my Tokens, get my Kings/Chariots/Odin/ZNMs, and obtain my scoria, all before I'm even done with half of my Assaults. Still, I have to go do this content that's made for level 75s that I can curb stomp effortlessly so I can make one of my best weapons in the game. Nothing about Assault Tags, Assaults, or anything of the sort is actually difficulty related, only time, making the wait time between 24 hours and making there be a cap of 4~5 tags at a time only makes it so you have to keep coming back every few days which wastes more time and makes it even more annoying, every forgotten or busy day sets you back even longer as well. Truly, the system is more frustrating than changing it could possibly be in my opinion.
