Dear SE:

Post Adoulin launch you all fixed enmity of spells by most jobs but blu. Your reason was interesting. You think blu should be okay with taking damage and tanking for short periods of time. I accept this idea, but also I believe blu is a bit weak with newer content being that we wear lighter armor and have limited hp.

I propose our new upcoming spells provide decent buffs to alleviate the many deaths we gather from our amazing hate-filled spells. Also, please note that every one of us blu's dislike any spell with bad casting time/duration. Some example ideas:

Max hp boost
Magic def bonus
Better phalanx
Better regen
Attack down enfeebles
Better counters
Evasion boost
Magic eva boost
Def boost
Better cure

I would be happy with an Utsusemi like spell that doesnt cost 200 MP and doesnt a cast/recast time of 392039203 ages.... and no Occulationt doesnt count because its blink ._. costs 200 MP and has an insane amount of recast time.

I was fighting that Colkhab today. There were just 3 of us with me on blu. It was very annoying seeing that guy spam Incisive Apotheosis and hate reset me every time I was able to grab hate. This had me thinking of how awesome it would be if blu had a strong hate reset spell. Imagine being able to do AAs as blu and dealing more damage than those pesky rangers, because you don't have to turn around. That's my wishful thinking...

Considering the way BLU works right now, I think we have our fill of Spell + Additional Debuff + Debuff + Debuff. They simply do not work where it matters most.

I predict Pentapeck will be one of our spells. :) We have nothing in the higher level from Bird.

It seriously is, it casts in 2 seconds and gives you like 7+ Blink it is literally a lifesaver at times.

If you have blue magic skill merited, you only need to macro in +10 skill to get 9 shadows.

Assuming that there's no cap, and idk how much gear there is with Blue Magic skill on it, but if you can get +60 on top of merits, then you'd get 10 shadows, and 1 more every 50 after that.

yeah currently I have a 10 shadow occulation with 505 blue magic skill, I usually cast haste before I use occulation so that way it comes back quicker, also retinal glare is overlapping flash, so keep that on and use occulation so the enemy doesn't hit you, sucks though since most of the HNMs take off occulaiton in 1 hit if they have AOE melee attacks... so I would agree, an utsumi spell would be nice for blu, or a non blink shadow spell. as for enmity, you can reduce enmity with hydro shot + mimesis and things of that nature, but it would be nice to have a magical blue version of provoke or physical attack spell that has +100 enmity to it or something so blue can manage hate better.

Hmm...Hydro shot is horrible. You gain more enmity from its damage than you lose from using it. I'd love a super jump or chakra like spell for fights AA/Delve. As for a provoke spell, I'm not sure we need one of those. We have 2 flashes and several of other of our spells give a lot of hate. We have several utility spells for hate. I remember people used to use diffused exuviations to produce as much hate as an invincible 2hr move. A shadow spell is definitely welcomed too. Something quick cast that produces 4-5 shadows for 50 mp sounds about right.

Why don't they just fix the one we already have? I agree, an Enmity reduction move would be good but we've got that already in Hydro Shot. It just doesn't work like it's suppose to. Unless this new spell has a new quality or attribute or is more effective against certain monster types, etc, I don't see the point of adding it.

They already stated they won't be fixing our older spells, which I hope they still fix Tourbillion and Barbed Crescent.

Well, I think they might need to re-evaluate that stance. It doesn't doesn't make much sense. The majority of our spells were useless even back when they were new. So what, we shouldn't have those spells fixed because they're older? Once a spell is added that's the way it should be forever, even if it had no point from its inception?

At the very least, if we're asking for an new enmity reduction spell, we should be asking for something for that spell WHILE fixing the one we've got. So, for example, fixed Hydro Shot would be single target enmity reduction and this new spell would be, say, an AoE Enmity reduction or an attack that also buffs you with Pax or be more effective against certain monster types(maybe working in something related to monster correlation) or something. Some kind of different effect that would make you want to use both of them, depending on the situation.

The way to fix a broken spell (or jug for that matter seeing as SE is doing the same thing with them) isn't to make a new one that actually works when we've got one already. Why aren't we ask for a another Tourbillion and Barbed Crescent while we're at it? According to that mentality, that's the solution.

Camate already asked in another thread for people to give examples of names/race/mobs that you're fighting, with any additional info that you can provide, things like weapon/gear/day/weather etc.

So far I haven't seen a single post from anyone with any of this information, so I doubt that it will be fixed.

Yes, but I still think that you should have posted your weapon/gear... wouldn't surprise me if they turn around and say "duh of course they're not landing for you, they're designed to need 500+ blue magic skill to land"
