I recently bought final fantasy xi ultimate collection last week from steam. Or at least I should have done... for some reason the CD key I was given has only activated the original game and NONE of the extension packs or add-on’s... then looking at my game library it shows as “final fantasy xi” not “final fantasy xi ultimate collection” is it even possible that I bought just the original game... as I’ve never seen FF XI for sale without at least the 1st 2 extension packs. I’ve created a totally new account and play online ID where it asked me for the 1 cd key I got from steam.
However when I go into expanded services it tries to charge me £7.99 per expansion pack... has anyone ells had this problem?
Thanks

think you have to activate each one individually using the key. I did that to activate just ASA when they were selling it for $5 recently (the only one I never bought, as they released the $10 collection at the same time as ASA).
Just before you go to launch FFXI (after clicking Games from POL main screen, where you see the logo advertising Abyssea and token sales, with the big "Play" button), go to "Content ID". This will pull up two frames, one with Content ID options, and another with Expanded Services options. Select "Register ID" under Expanded Services. Go down the list and try using that code for each of the add-ons to activate them.

I have the ultimate collection for xbox. Bought it about a month ago. Took me about 2 hours to figure out how to get the reg. cod to work. Go into the expansions section & register one of the add-ons with the code. It will then prompt you that this is a one time reg. code. You can then click the other 2 expansions & they will all register. No problems at all man. My game library only says FFXI not "FFXI Ultimate" also.
