I had an idea for a system that works similar to reforging and magian trials, where you collect pieces and upgrade items, and upgrade them one tier at a time.
Gear and items purchasable from the infamy npc inside the feretory, then upgrade-able from the suspicious npc in passhow marshlands. (Gotta be more use than just unlocking monstrosity.)
Base Pieces and upgrade items:
[Monster Rank or higher]
[Notorious Monster rank or higher]
[High Notorious Monster rank or higher]

Edit 1: (3/09/14) Added more equipment to list.
Edit 2: (3/10/14) Changed Dim Belt, Dim Sash, and Dim Chain to have MP+ as opposed to the previous status changes. Added reasoning explanation for Dim Chain's strange setup.
Edit 3:(3/11/14) Complete revamp of list to shorten lower tier list of pieces and focus on high tier pieces. Resembles elemental magian weapons.
[Tier 1 pieces.]
These pieces are the base pieces you can buy from npc in the feretory. The list of these is above.
[Tier 2 pieces.]
These pieces are aquired by trading the tier 1 piece and an elemental tear to the npc in Pashhow Marshlands, Suspicious Hume.

[Tier 3 Pieces:]
These pieces are acquired by trading a tier 2 piece and a list of items to the npc "Suspicious Hume" in Pashhow Marshlands. Used to revamp pieces into their own elements.
Belts:
Sashes
Chains
[Tier 4 Pieces:]
These pieces are just a stronger tier of an element, replacing elemental resistance with the attribute of that element.
Belts:
Sashes:
Chains:
[Tier 5 Pieces]
These pieces are further divided by the player's preferences. You can focus on strengthening multiple different aspects of each element and equipment type. Pick carefully, for it will not divide any more after this phase.
Ultimate Goal: Berserker's Belt
Ultimate Goal: Raving Belt
Ultimate Goal: Malicious Belt

One of the things we need are rewards from Monstrosity that are at least half decent. These items are going to have to be MUCH stronger than the ones you're suggesting.

Gotta get to tier 10, working on it time to time. Tier 10 is lvl 99 pieces.

I see. Carry on then.

I'd like to say I recommend editing your main post and just adding Spoiler tags to separate each tier of equipment, otherwise you're going to end up with a thread with 12 posts, and 11 of them being yours... and the thread is then going to be ignored to the annals of time.

Except that's way too much infamy if you had to build it up like that with 10 tiers of separate items retraded over and over... sounds horrible...

Yeah, 10 tiers and I was designing with the idea it takes time and effort. I could drop the costs, but infamy is actually still pretty easy to build up either way.

Given just how horrible the current items are I somehow doubt SE ever plans on them being good. I mean the sure effort to make a 99 torque and full augment is probably higher than 119 a relic now for something that I probably wouldn't have worn even at 75

Well, SE really needs to change that. By now they should realize that many people are driven by gear/rewards. Imagine what would happen if SE released *Insert content here* and didn't given it any relevant rewards? Camate needs to get across to Mr. Iwagami that we need primarily right now 1) Content to use monsters on and 2) Better rewards. I mean, if it weren't for RoE, Monstrosity would be a completely closed system. At least with it, I was able to make points to gain AF gear. Maybe they could tie real endgame gear into Monstrosity. Like, I don't know, maybe we could have the ability to buy fragments of Delve/other content weapons and armor as a monster with PvP wins + Infamy? And then, in order to fuse the parts into something usable, we'd have to challenge a version of the NM that drops that particular piece of gear that is scaled for MON Vs. MON combat? I don't know, just brainstorming here.
Like I said, given how popular Monstrosity still is, even with no content available to use our monsters on, imagine how truly popular it would be if we WOULD be given content to do. We haven't heard from Mr. Iwagami in a while, Camate. Could we get an ETA on party play and other content/adjustments? Or at least could we get a quick review on what's being worked on?
