Monster Name:
Any monster capable of using Sleep, Amnesia, Stun, or Terror attacks – for example, Iron Giants or Black Mage monsters that are able to cast Stun and Sleep. In addition, any monster that defeats an Avatar while it is readying a Blood Pact.

Steps:
In any combat situation – in the field, within dungeons or missions, etc. This occurs both when macros are used and when the Blood Pact: Rage and Blood Pact: Ward commands are selected manually from the menu. There is no accompanying error message.

1. Initiate a Blood Pact: Rage or Blood Pact: Ward in the vicinity of a monster.
2. A monster uses an attack which stuns, sleeps, or inflicts Terror or Amnesia upon the avatar while it is readying the Blood Pact effect, or defeats the avatar while it is reading the Blood Pact effect.
3. The avatar is unable to execute the Blood Pact while it is afflicted by the status ailment, or the Blood Pact does not execute due to the defeat of the Avatar.
4. The Blood Pact command in question has been set to its maximum recast value (with the effect of equipment included), even though the Blood Pact did not execute, and avatar TP is consumed.
5. The use of that Blood Pact command, and accumulated avatar TP, has been wasted. This makes it difficult to use avatars in situations where monsters frequently inflict one or more of these status ailments, or in any situation where the avatar is likely to be defeated.

Not sure if this is just a side-effect of the way it was implemented or intentional, it does suck when it happens, as it does when you try to WS something and it runs out of range and you lose all your TP, but on the other hand, we do it to monsters as well sometimes. Regardless, don't think bug reports are really necessarily the place for this complaint.

I'm sort of playing this as a fact-finding mission as much as anything else. While I definitely consider this a bug, given the long readying times of blood pacts and the long timer associated with their reuse (which is different from most high-tier monsters, which can just reuse TP moves after they're stunned), it would be nice to know what the developers think. I do believe that it's a different issue to players using weaponskills - those are almost instantaneous, so TP loss (which is very irritating and, I think, shouldn't happen) is less likely to occur and is more avoidable. BP timer failure is much more likely to occur than player TP loss with the relevant types of monsters.
