Monsters that use Encumberence, can hit us with Weakness and basically 1-shot us, that can drop our HP to 1 in a single attack and slaughter us before we have a chance to react.

Drop pools filled with items from content 14 levels lower than that of what we are participating in, often filling our pool with a ton of items we will never use.

A Key Item, needed in higher quantities than the previous, yet with a drop rate so stupid that people have went 0/20~0/25, which in an event that takes 20~45 minutes on average, is no small number.

Fragment drops that are just as low as before, equating to 5 fragments per monster at best, while the +2 Stones are still so high, now at 40,000, that it is completely stupid to try saving up for them.

To top it off, we have a large area with multiple maps and no quick or easy way to navigate it, with the only saving grace being that monsters respawn and you can create a rotation in a small area.

These are all of the issues I have with the new event. Besides that, love it, but these really bring it down. Balanced monsters isn't to much to ask for.

Neither is a decent drop rate on the KI, or event relevant drops being in the pool rather than drops from the old areas that aren't even of use anymore.

Fragment drop amounts could have and should have been increased, the only purpose the old stones serve now days is to be traded in for these, which sort of offsets this issue, by creating another.

Lastly, there is not a single reason I can think of that the map should have been cut into 5~10 pieces rather than making 1 large map so we can actually navigate well. I understand the idea of making a maze, thats nice, but the normal zone isn't a maze, and if it were supposed to be a true maze why give us a map at all?

My problem is, like you said, the drops we are getting from old stuff we don't need anymore. Square, why are you filling the pools with Ghastly Stones and Verdigris Stones? The drops in here are horrible but people do it for the KI so I get that... except, it's nearly impossible to get the KI. I am ok with the NMs but Square I just want you to know that I remember that you said you would not give them those moves again and cuss you out everytime I get hit with one. Just fyi. Skirmish is ok but the end game content right now is lacking. Going to play something else for a while, skirmish isnt worth sinking all of my time into it for a few stones I dont need in the hopes that I get a drop I wont get.

Trade 5 stones and get 1 upgraded stone, example 5+2 ghastly = x1 v. Stone +2 and so on... The drops are a great way to get some extra cash, plus the quicker you get skirmish done, the more high quality the rewards are ... Bring at least 1 sch and 1 rdm or blm

Oh and enemies repop in there about 5 mins---- don't fight the ones that take off your armor, fight the easy enemies like jhaunting averx weak to blizzard (tier one blizzard spam for 1000 each and em spell for 50 plus Dmg, or fight the rock pile monster (when he goes down run away then go back in) or hahava weak to thunder, ect

I think the main jist they are getting at is that it's about how often the KI to upgrade weapons/armor appears, which is pretty horrible. They placed a mechanic on all the mobs that strip armor that they won't use the move if you avoid a certain type of damage, but I do agree it's lame. They did say they were going to stop it with the armor stripping or at least restrict it to pulling off one piece of armor in the thread concerned about proceeding with item levels.

Skirmish has always been the more casual of the events, even for their content level they are pretty easy to deal with mostly. If they adjust the low drop rate on the KI to the frequency you get in Skirmish II and make armor stripping a piece of armor like they promised, it would see a lot more frequency in player participation. Right now a lot of players are avoiding the event because it's not enticing enough to erase augments and spend the effort and difficulty with cheap moves like stripping levels on a low chance of upgrading their item. In which they have to spend millions again to get perfect augments.

It's trying to hard to be lasting content with these roadblocks of low KI drops, erasing augments and artificial difficulty by stripping gear.

Drop rate on KI is WAY to low. SE knew what they were doing, it's an artificial time barrier to prevent us from getting the gear too fast. They want us to throw ourselves at it as much as possible.

The first 2 weeks of Yorcia having been released you couldn't even enter the Skirmish because there were so many people rushing to get in, with this though I can sit next to the Waypoint to enter and it is a ghost town, hardly anyone around, not even close to the original levels of participation for Yorcia.

It's like that on Odin too.... I think I've seen... maybe 2 shouts... maybe three... (obviously I'm not there 24/7... but Yorcia was nigh constant demand...)

I haven't done S3 yet... because I was gonna wait a bit for the clog to go away (Yorcia taught me that)... but... hearing that the KI isn't the nigh-100% that Yorcia's KI was... makes me not really want to waste my time with just the slight CHANCE of getting marginally better statbloat, and having to reset augments...

Resetting augments: gets decreased participation
extremely low KI: drops that smaller participation even lower.

Skirmish is supposed to be "casual" content...
But... doing nothing but skirmish isn't really a "casual" mindset.
It's disappointing that S3 seems to be... so under-trafficked...
SE obviously can get the real hard data on it....
But I suspect that if they don't make the KI drop at the same rate as it does in Yorcia... This is gonna be dead content pretty quickly. (Cause I feel that if the KI upgrade was basically 100%, having to redo all your augments is "bearable" because "now it's 119"... I realize that's just human brains rationalizing a blatantly obvious exploitation... BUT that's what being human is. Make the KI almost a 100%, and you're gonna get everyone to grin and bear losing all their augments.)

Done ~10 runs with five people and a mule. Got two KIs just last night for two of us. Both of us went and +2ed our smn staffs. Mine right now has dmg and int +6 and pet:mab +14. The LS mate has something like pet: mac +5 or something. We have been only doing 1/1/1. Last night if think was the first time we saw a few of us get wings and the new stones.
