Forgive me for being late to this discussion if it's already happened, but right now it seems the newly-added Sparks of Eminence equipment for level 99 trumps just about everything but the few pieces of gear with an item level higher than 117. And in my experience earning the requisite sparks to buy this equipment is pretty easy.
With this gear apparently taking the role of "baseline" equipment for 99+, what's the point of bayld gear any more? With no apparent reason to linger anywhere between levels 98 and 116, where does this equipment (and their prices) fit into the grand scheme now?
