Just curious, I have no problem with the EXP atm, just wondering if we'll see any of the special campaigns again, still got a ton of crests to burn through >_<

hopefully it would bring back some parties in the old crawlers nest and such so I don't have to sit in a Worm party.

I do. It's fairly atrocious. Bring back double XP and make it permanent. That's the only solution that will satisfy me.

I agree, the worm parties are ok, but I miss the parties, even with the trust npc, would be nice for beginners to not have to grind those first few levels, then grind the rest to 75 with those emotionless clones.

How about simply revamping EXP so that there's no penalty for being in a party, so that PC parties yield the same kind of EXP as Trust "parties?"
As it is I'm hesitant to suggest and form a Level Sync party for a lower-level friend because the EXP rate with Trust is too good.

Good point actually. I think it would be fine to not impose any exp penalty for party members anymore, at least not in pre-abyssea areas. Abyssea exp is already good enough and also uses a different exp system so I don't think there's much need to change that. I guess there could still be a penalty for multiple parties in an alliance though. Perhaps something like 80% as much exp per person when allied with another party and 60% when there are three parties.
Alternatively, not make exp penalties occur until you have more than a total of 8 people, but include trust in this. With this, you could have two people three trust NPCs each in an alliance and still not lose exp.

I would say rather than having the penalty we have now just make it so that for every real person in your party you get an extra 10% XP bonus with a 50% cap at 6 people. Gives you more incentive to party up, more incentive to do so with real players rather than Trust even once it is allowed with parties, and speeds up leveling with no real downfall.

This is actually a fairly clever idea to get people to party again without feeling as though they're forced to use Trusts for the quickest EXP gain up until Abyssea. Couple a system like this with the ability to also use Trusts in Parties (which is thankfully coming), and suddenly the game should have a rather large resurgence of level synch parties outside of Abyssea.

I'm just not sure if that's necessary. The increased kill speed and ability to kill multiple monsters at once for full exp for each kill is already a pretty large increase in exp over time. Getting the same exp for killing a monster twice as fast sounds like a pretty good incentive to me.

the biggest block to parties imo is healing magic.
you have to have a healer if you want to fight EM/T/VT/IT mobs.
This is why trust has been a huge success you always have a healer, you always have a tank, and you always have a good DD.
The other down side to leveling faster is skill-up ratings. These need to be increased. Staying caught up with your main weapon is already almost impossible. Though with the new tomes to augment this it helps, but over all I have found that with my trust npc leveling up (on a new character) my main weapon (in this case I'm leaving a warrior with GA) stays relatively 10~15 levels behind the cap while I fight T/VT monsters using skill up food and we are lucky to have the MM mooglepower at the moment. So if there is an increase in EXP there would need to be an increase in skill up rates to compensate. Yes I know you can spend time skilling up later, but for new players who are leveling for the first time having skills close to cap esp around 66~70 for the Maat fight or other limit breaker fight is vital.
I do like the idea of the 10% bonus per member.
As I mentioned the pain of low level parties right now is finding healers, maybe augmenting some gear with regen or maybe increasing the potency of the regen player could get from the FoV/GoV books or something along lines, there is no real way to solve this issue other then sub dancer or whm or rdm or sch ... lol maybe increase the healing that sub jobs could do? *shrugs* I do miss the old days of 6 man parties, heck I even had fun in the level sync allies for GoV burns. But right now it is hard to find those. There does need to be some sort of incentive to leveling. Maybe make the Trust healing NPCs available during parties? that could help lol or better yet, Make potions more potent and instant.

they are already planning on making trust NPCs usable in regular parties.

this is a nice idea, i would like to see this implemented. SE did somethign similar like this with meeble burrows after a while, ramping up teh points you get the bigger the PT is, so there was incentiv to go with 6 instead of only 3 people!

I mean two things they did great with it were that it was broken at first but rather than just leaving it broken until they could fix it they implemented countermeasures by allowing us to get our KIs back if we entered and it glitched, they also did just as you said, increased the points obtained with more players rather than less, thus rewarding players for additional participation, yet somewhere along the way they simply forgot this kind of action. If they kept this kind of mindset with things like WKs and the problems it had or Skirmish and giving more Fragments with higher amounts of players or some such, I think the game would be better off, but they never really kept up with that kinda mindset and we still see problems like Yorcia WK still that arent fixed, but also have no countermeasure outside of a moogle telling you about the problem.

I agree with this idea completely.
The only EXP parties to be found are in Abyssea.
