I have them all except those two. I spent 10 hours today hopping back and forth between jugnar forest and batallis downs, seen every weather pattern except snow and ligtning.

I don't know what level you are or what expansions you have so I'll leave out the suggestions for zones. Though you should probably try looking at the Weather Report NPCs (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Weather_Reporter) and Weatheri (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Category:Weather) pages on wik to narrow down options for looking according to what is accessible to you. There use to be other options that were easier and more consolidated, but I don't know if they are still active or replaced. Someone else can probably comment on that.

Qufim/Vunkerl for lightning, Beaucedine for ice.

Downs only gets snow once a in game month. The sanctuary of Zi'Tah is a nice thunder.

Also most past zones alternate weathers with extreme frequence. Vunkrel being one of the ones for thunder and anywhere in the northlands is great for ice

you really shouldn't have any trouble finding snowy weather in any Northlands area e.g. xarcabard, beaucedine, and especially uleaguerand range

So long as you have snk/invis, getting to Beaucedine is a matter of getting an online map of Rang. Pass. Qufim Island will not count for this quest, Konchstat Highlands, Zi'Tah, and SOMETIMES Jugner, but I would rank Zi'tah as your best bet.

Thunder - Pash. marshlands and Kon. highlands
Wind - Tah. Canyon and Bub. peninsula
Earth - Tah. Canyon and Bub. peninsula
Ice - Bea. Glacier and Xarcbard
Fire - tele between Altep and Yhoator

I've given up on Beaucedine and Xarcabard due to not being able to get to them. I tried Beaucedine and died going through Ranguemont Pass roughly 20-30 times. I can make it right to the Goblin Tanner area and they kill me with 1 shot (Im only 32 BLM), I have 3 trust NPC's but they cant help when I am one-shot :) I'm not in a linkshell and the server (Carbuncle) seems empty. I went to the AH to try and buy prism or rainbow powders for invis, but none for sale :(

Note: I appreciate the help, not looking for sympathy here. I remember this quest 7 years ago, and back then I had a WHM tag along to invis or sneak as needed. Empty server doesnt help lol

Prism powder sells by stacks of 12, no one ever sells em separately. they're 7k per stack on your server.

I checked the AH in Windurst and there are no stacks or singles for sale. I am assuming that all AH's are now linked, correct?

You don't need powders. Circumspection grants both and costs 5 tabs from the Grounds Tomes around the area. It should last long enough for you to cross the zone. That's why those items have fallen out of use. Destrier Beret and a job under 30 will also let you zombie your way there. You could also level up a bit more on your main job, as level 50 should have an easier time, and you'd be able to cast the spells on yourself with a WHM or DNC subjob.

Is there a Ground Tome after the NPC opens the door for you? I know Horotoru Ruins suffers a problem with needing to drop invisible to get past a secret door so circumspection is kind of a waste. I'm not overly familiar with Ran. Pass to know if it has the same issue as well.

I had that problem, you need to drop invis to get the door open. What I needed to do was buy Powders for invis, and use the Circumspection for the sneak. Drop invis, open door, use powder. The good news was that invis powders are 7k a stack which is much cheaper than 20k a stack for sneak.

Too bad you couldnt get Circumspection as a scroll, or there was not a book after the door!

Sorry about that. I've seen books in various areas of zones with doors, but that zone only has books at the zone lines to the adjoining areas, not near the door. I've kind of forgotten about a lot of that trouble since I never bought powders until around the time Abyssea came out, as BLM with WHM sub were my first jobs, and only jobs I ever had above 20 until Abyssea.

Ranguemont has ice weather so you can just chill there too.

Yeah the pass is counted as a dungeon.

Anywhere with Grounds Tomes won't work, as they are dungeons. Oddly, some areas with Field Manuals that are considered overworld don't work either, like apparently Qufim.

Qufim won't work if exiting from jeuno. If I remember right they said you could get it to work if you rezoned from the tower or behemoth's dominion.
