What's the Big Idea?

Well, after spending a lot of time this past fall in Eorzea, the steady updates to Vana'diel keep bringing me back– and I've been having a lot fun playing FFXI again.

I know the dev team said at some point recently-ish that there would be no more long-term roadmaps, but instead would reveal details about things actively being worked on one or two patches out (which has been followed through on, and appreciated!).

Any chance we could hear about what might be the next "big" idea for FFXI? Is the Seeker's of Adoulin storyline coming to a close? Is Delve getting new areas? Are any major re-vamps being discussed (like Dynamis was a few years ago)?

I've been really happy with the updates in the last quarter of 2013, so I'm looking forward to hearing what might be in store in 2014 :)

I wish they would do roadmaps again.. but then again there's no promises like CatSith and Atomos to be upset about.

I don't think committing to roadmaps would be a good idea, but a preview of big things coming 2-3 months out would be pretty cool.

Oh to be clear I don't want a new Roadmap with time estimates put to things that might not get delivered on like before– but something a little more like XIV's producer live letter that sort of highlights what's to come/what's being considered 3-6 months out.
