Content suggestion:
Maat fight mk2 (119).
It's basically Maat fight, but tiered up for level 119.
Level 119, no subjob.
This is supposed to be a fight where you have to use potions, temp items etc as we used to have to do for maat long ago. aka a hard solo fight
Reward: trusts of the NPCs you fight in the level 70 cap fights, where you don't face maat (blu, cor, pup (shamarhaan), dnc (laila), geo etc). Each time you clear you get one trust, upto the max of 7? If you clear maat on every job you get a reskinned maats cap.

Why is Ambuscade the only dungeon that does not have a fastest clear time message? it's the main place it makes sense for there to be one, since geared players love to show off and would actively try to break that time.
I would suggest possibly having a party and maybe solo time message too but that might be too complex.

Why do unity fights still only give 1 reward box, this is disgraceful given 50% of the drops from them are junk.
One box was fine when it was new, not so much now.

For me a simple unlocking of the framerate would be wonderful. I would love to play this game at 60fps. I have seen videos online of people using things like windower to uncap it. But I use Linux and would love to have something like that built in.

would be cool if on the synthesis menu it told you what you have in inventory for each item needed, and then what u need for making the synthesis.

Now if you would like that expanded to retain more history data, that could be a more reasonable suggestion. Another idea would to be able to interface with a guild NPC to add a selection interface to place a chosen synthesis recipe into your history log.

yeah that's a good idea, also expand the list of how many recipes you can show at once, because with a bunch of different recipes especially cooking u sometimes need more.

Add more versions or increase the spawn rate of KI NMs in Abyssea for REMA farming, why did you add 3 ??? spawn spots for the final NM and still keep the singular key item NM that pops it on a 10 minute respawn timer?
A person can kill the key item NM and kill the boss and be back to get the next spawn with 8 minutes to spare, at least heavily reduce the respawn.

Please add 2 macro set. Macro should match the number of jobs.
Remove all 3 ppl restriction content. Many ppl shout for help to enter some content and they don't need help to clear the content.

Can trusts be made to zone too? This would be useful when say entering Domain Invasion, or something along those lines.
SMN Avatars follow you through zones, so was wondering if this is a possibility?

I think the main reason they despawn is because Trusts do not level up, so many players would end up with very low level trusts while trying to xp.

True, but said person could gain 5 levels in the zone they are in without the trusts levelling up. Surely a re-check on trust-player level harmonisation can be performed when they zone.

Remove outdated trials, a prime example is the 3000 riftcinder trial for REMA upgrades. This is no longer worth doing since there are far cheaper options, still leaving this in the game is a massive troll to players who may not know they can skip it.

Any chance that Campaign medals can stop expiring after a certain point? It's really frustrating arriving in a Campaign zone for some other reason, seeing a battle in progress but not being able to participate without faffing around back at the cities.

I mean they made it so once you're done with the main quests you don't get demoted anymore, which is eay enough to do without changing the system. I doubt they can/will do anything that would require the system to be extensively modified.

I think he means like added an NPC at the campaign battle area/arena's to refresh the seals on your current campaign medals rank instead of finding it already expired after you already had the walk\trek out to the place of battle including sigil put on soo that it's not so back and forth running from the place then back again only to find out it ended but not always ended which I was just stating such a case.

It's just a familiarity adaptation that needs to be done by the player. /cmap refreshes at intervals, look for fresh sword icons on the interface to see what is worthy of a teleport.

One of the biggest failings in ffxi right now for summoners is the avatars level being based on the level of a players ammo slot item/sachet, I see so many newer summoners that do not know this. There really should be some warning when you swap to summoner at level 99 or some way to tell people this.
It's so sad to see well geared summoners with no sachet.

I came back to FFXI during the free-to-play week and re-subed. I been doing a lot of campaign for fun but, I do wish my efforts had a slightly larger impact on my nation. Like, here on the phoenix server I feel like I'm the only one who does campaign for Sandy and trying to level up the nation's troops doing "Brave Dawn I and II" is nutz. or doing any other campaign op. The effects on the nation's stats seem really-really minuscule considering how little it's done these days.

To enhance the rate of pty to be made, here a suggestion:
Instead of capping Job Point to 500, the cap should be lowered to 100, it's an 1 hour farm, long enough to make a good party, the way to the camp are not that hard and long to reach, a party that want to play more, can get back asap.
It would limit the Merc that take all the camp to sell 500 JP while people are afk.

Can we please have a way of reducing the time it takes to get legend rank in all coalitions? You can farm a mythic now in a matter of days with enough effort - same with a relic. Empys as well. Maybe just reduce the imprimatur recharge time a little teeensy weensy bit? :p

Not sure if its technically possible given the age and apparent technical architecture of the game but having items on the AH available to be purchased by players in all worlds would make it easier for those of us on smaller population servers to buy and sell items.
The game day wait on upgrading items through Monisette and other NPCs needs to be removed. Also, Monisette needs to be more informative when receiving the wrong materials for upgrades. If you pass her XArmor and the wrong materials, there is no reason she just keeps the chapters without telling you what you should pass to upgrade XArmor. That's just bad design.
Interfaces with NPCs that perform similar activity like storage of items should have a consistent interaction.
Lag waiting on inventory to load and linkshell chat to be available needs to be remediated.
There are a lot of opportunities for kaizen in this game. I understand SE has no desire to attract new players to it there is no reason the existing development team can't do more than life support as it is a revenue source.

Just noting that has been mentioned before into the past of cross servers even more slots, a 2nd different type of auction house to being able to have more items - gears etcetera up on the AH out of your inventory less taking up space as well in here of the forums or elsewhere even started forums of their own too.

yes, its overly priced in bayld and for newer players that cant solo the wkr it takes awhile to come up with that much bayld.

We really need a fix for inventory. My favorite part of this game vs. other mmo's is that I can play all classes(jobs) on a single character. However, Gearing not even half of the jobs to a level that can do endgame content (well) is about the most my inventory's can fit. I send everything that can go to another character on the same content ID to another character and just get it when required just so I can use my satchel, case, both mog houses, etc. for gear. However, I still have to send a lot of my gear to mules. If I want to play something different I have to log in and out to send everything through my delivery box. This usually equates to around 30 minutes. I understand I could just not gear everything to a endgame level but that kinda leaves me with no need to play.
My fellow vana'dielians have on this very forum post have suggested adding more mog-wardrobes, adding more slip-able items, creating npcs to hold common use items (for example stuff you need 30k or 10k of ie. alexandrite, plutons etc), and countless other ideas. It may have been suggested before, but if we could have a moogle or storage box in your mog garden that you click, it ask you to select a (active) alternate character on the same POL ID, once you select the character you will be asked to select which bag to load, IE. if you select mog house it will load your inventory and that mules mog house and allow you to transfer items (the same items that can be sent via delivery box to a same POL ID).
Regardless; any action will always be appreciated.

You no longer need to return back to town to reobtain the entry keyitem for high tier fights. You can spend your merits outside of the gate on the entry keyitem. (Removing annoying tasks.)
Job Ability animation lock removed from the game. Still remain for weapon skills. (Character will no longer be bound in place for using skills.)
Melee attack range has increased by 2 yams to improve combat. (Easier to attack enemies walking away)
Can now exchange HQ silver Obi's with tissues for elemental Obi's. (Currently only works with the NQ silver obi.)
Pulse weapons drop rate has been increased. - Voidwatch 1/800->1/300, Getes ->1/100->1/60, Meebles 1/??->1/30

ok how about this? 16 delivery box slots? its not super encouraging rmt, but at the same time gets the job done for us that actually play the game for fun. its really frustrating when u go fishing for cooking supplies and have to switch back and forth between characters to deliver 60 fish. takes half your play time and in the end u get no satisfaction from it. I understand there are rules in play to limit rmt actions, but u cant destoy everyone else because they are gonna do what they are gonna do no matter what.

Increase the hallmarks from V2 Ambuscade:
V1 VE gives 200 hallmarks, V1 E gives 600
V2 VH gives 300 hallmarks.
I understand the difficulty differences but this is disrespectful, if for no other reason the massive HP pool. At a bare minimum V2 VD should give 400.

This one - is one of the changes I been waiting forever to see happen since the beginning of time when the game began back 2002 - 2004 and seen countless players voice they'd love to see this change into providing more inventory space outside of it instead of taking up the exact same inventory space's of where the rest of your items except I never really seen any of them voicing it on to the forums even the ffxi forums were first introduced + created from that point one as far as I recall, It would just be another way to allow even more spaces with the inventory spaces, Mog Satchell, etc., that we already have in place if there were a separated selling inventory spaces for our traveling characters Bazaars. I know this isn't a thing and pry won't be a thing especially with all the forums past suggestions for AH items amounts improvements which have also included bazaars of the past but anyways, besides us always pretty much being on the traveling to different places around Van'dial with our bazaars while doing whatever else in-game some to a majority of us as I thought it was perchance suggested to me once - maybe, having a non-traveling bazaaring huge chest in every city and maybe possibly some other locations that everyone could place their bazaaring belongings into it that they're wanting to sell - seeking to be sold additionally outside of the AH but I would assume to that extent it would also have the character's name before it or behind it of who is bazaaring that item + price listing it for too.

Here is another thought of just randoms, wouldn't it be very interesting if the Goblins themselves created an Auction House by themselves or a group of them in a storyline about it, for us traveling adventurer's to use?
I guess that means if they did that would in Old Movolapos or New- "Town" -Movolapos maybe or you all could speculate where a goblin my created/place one if they did an AH for a location being of goblin's ideal thoughts of where they would be around too into placing it for use.

goldsmithing needs something simple to make like how alchemy has azure cermet and woodworking has cypress lumber. it needs something that can multiply in profit. the item it has is basically a break even and if u break its a huge loss.

People make new shout characters every day to get around blists. If there was a level limit it would still make it a bit more annoying for them, which would mean there would be less chance of them making new ones every day and so less to blist.
That is why I turn off shout (/Yell), what is the logic behind making a new Character to shout? I can only see this as an annoyance, not a way to get more sales.

I don't know, maybe reports need to hit a set number before being escalated. Maybe all records are wiped if the character is deleted and so it protects the parent account.

Content difficulty ratings:
This is something that is easily overlooked but I think would be good to address. Content difficulty ratings are misleading and incredibly demoralizing to new players, I can't emphasize enough how dumb this rating is and how much impact it has on new players (I nearly quit myself years back after returning because of it).
The difficulty ratings make very little sense to solo or duo players (which you know a lot of the clears are from, what party of 6 is doing VE?), when I came back years ago I attempted "very easy" and "easy" fights with a friend. These fights are often not "very easy" when you are wearing sparks gear and are solo/duo, easy is hilariously not "EASY" at all when you have base 119 gear even.
If you just put "Very easy (party rating)" and "easy (party rating)" or heck even remove that wording and just put levels of the monsters it would do a LOT to make players feel less garbage when they attempt an "EASY" fight and get completely demolished, for instance if I try Easy V1 ambuscade in sparks gear I'm going to get steamrolled mercilessly and my first thought will be "I'm garbage at this game because it's an "EASY" fight and I still can't clear it, maybe I should just quit and go play something else."
It's a little thing but to a new player that just dinged 99 it's really confusing and demoralizing, they leveled to 99 with trusts and will not consider the rating is based on a full party (or they won't know how weak trusts are compared to normal players). This is a great way to make people who just slogged to 99 to quit the game.
Do away with worded ratings and just put the level of the encounters or offer different ratings based on party and solo.

I agree with the above and to add more: T2 enspells' damage calculation is based on current enhancing skill on the initial attack of every round, changing every time you switch gear that adding or lowering Enhancing magic skill. They should be the same as T1 enspells to work with multi-attacks instead of only the first hit of the main hand

BLM is currently a dead job on FFXI, it has no use on most things.
Summoners can do insane amounts of damage with their 1 hour and then easily and quickly reset their 1 hour ability in a few minutes and repeat it forever, corsairs elemental WS often beat a blm in terms of being able to pump out dmg, Red mage can sleep far better than blm and offer haste2/refresh3, melee jobs can do more damage than a blm could ever hope to do with their melee + ws spam.
Blm need to be more powerful, a magic burst spell should do more damage and for less hate, increasing the dmg done by burn / choke etc will also help.
A skillchain and MB from a blm should always beat pure WS spam, I would suggest giving blm a new ability that when used before a spell gives a double / triple / quad boost to magic burst damage. Blm was always supposed to be a cannon of raw big numbers instead of the stream of smaller dmg from melee, that spike of dmg needs to be big enough to warrant the pt slot instead of something else.

Add an npc that sells an item like "Miratete's Memoirs", except intsead of XP it gives job points.
For 30 job points you can buy an item that when used gives 10 job points on any other job.
This allows players to use their best or demanded job to get job points for the job they don't want to grind job points on, the 3 to 1 ration is due to increased CP gain on your "maste" job or whatever.
Also, while we are at it. Why not change the reward of the escort for hire quests into giving 5 job points. This quest can only be done once a week and this would make it relevent again for more casual players.

How about removing the jug pet cap and job level requirement for every jug? Thus, any jug can be summoned at level 1.
Believe I heard you were adding abilities to existing pets or something like that from FFXI AH? It really makes sense to remove the cap then. The Lynx with Frenzied Rage and Pounce would become a top tier pet dd.

the mog garden needs a total overhaul. you don't get enough items even with 7 mog gardens rank 7 to make a difference in any particular craft. also you cant make enough personal money from it, so its a lot of work every day for nothing. I know u can work your butt off to get coalition serums and make darksteel ores maybe 1 rhodium ore and bismuth or beryllium 1 ore if lucky of any of these , but one ore doesn't do squat when u need 12 to make something. the darksteel on our server bahamut is @ 50k for 12, while the ingots are at 88k but that's not counting the loads of iron ore u need and the expensive fire crystals to make it, so the profit margin is crap. rmt has destroyed our server making stuff so that only they can profit over and over, and im sick of it. we need to have some fun in a "game" too. ty whoever is listening.
The ore price is set by the quest that gives you 8k per 2 ore. The ingot price is probably set by the market and it happens that the market price of ingots can't beat the ore price from an artificial quest.

If my PAID content ID runs out, I lose access to all free access time on all my characters. This is such a kick in the face when everyone else gets free time to play.
I have one paid character, and 10 alts on the account. If my paid character time runs out and I have to re-activate then I lose access to all my free time characters that people who have paid nothing can play just fine. Can you fix this? I had to resub my main today (since time ran out last night) and now I lose access to all my alts.
Last night I had access to all 11 characters, now only the one I paid to resub lol

I used to pay with a credit card, for some unknown reason they decided to not allow me to do that anymore. Now I have to pay with paypal, I normally do this when I need to resub because it's the easiest way to do it.
If I had not subbed 4 weeks ago in anticipation of these free access I would now have full access to all 11 characters for free for 3 weeks, since I did pay and let my sub lapse by a few hours I lose access to all the other 10 characters. When they deactivate the account due to non-payment they deactivate everything, even during free access.
It's a silly system, that punishes people who are paying if they let their sub lapse for even minutes if it's during free access. I don't mind losing access to the character I'm paying for but making me lose access to the others is over the top.

"over the top" of what? If you really needed those other characters you'd be paying for them, so I don't really see that you've lost anything of significance.
The campaign reactivates all inactive content IDs. The payment system deactivates all content IDs when payment ceases. Again, it's an edge case- i doubt anyone even forsaw this situation. But it was all an automatic process, its not like someone said "oh, we don't like this guy, deactivate his alts."

I don't argue just for the sake of arguing, you misunderstand me. I care about the topics I discuss. It's your choice whether to respond or not.
If I was as you suggest, I would be that guy who starts threads with postulations and ending with "discuss." or "change my mind." I don't do those things. I like the truth and I like honesty, and so I primarily respond to people making misshapen assumptions or things that simply aren't true or correct. I may participate in discussions but I generally don't start them and I'm not trying to pick fights.
And to address the actual point: The free time is lost when you cancel sub to prevent abuse. Your circumstance is unfortunate, but if it wasn't designed that way, everyone would be able to cancel their subs when a "come back with free time" event comes, use the free time that is primarily intended to promote old players returning, and then re-sub afterward, making the campaign cost them money, rather than potentially gaining them money in re-subs. Maybe it's "silly," I don't know, but it certainly is logical. Maybe you'll understand that, maybe you won't but I won't take it any further than that.

Copying my request here since it fits as a quality of life adjustment & other activities in game.
I have decided to raise a couple chocobos, one to race with and one for digging, so obviously I start reading into what that will entail. Come to find out there is a TON of info that is unknown, at least for the english speaking community. What I do know is the chocobo race cutscene is like 5 minutes long, and apparently I'm going to have to watch that ~24 times a day once my chocobo is an adult to get the chocobos I want. Tack on not paying attn while it's going on and that'll take me 3 hours each day for months.
Suggestion
Please add chocobucks to the list of currencies one can purchase with copper vouchers. It could even give only 100 per voucher instead of 1k since it's a low quantity currency.
It's just going to be way too much time wasted watching the same cutscene on repeat.
To alleviate any concerns. The items that can be purchased from it NPC for trash, and on AH, they practically never sell.
Alternative Suggestion
Increase the rewards per race OR reduce the cost for certain items, remove singles, drop stacks of food to 1 & 3 chocobucks respectively, 7 & 8 for active chocobo training, 15 for a racing silks, and leave the rest as is since those items are what can be sold on AH and could even potentially become worth spamming the event for profit ... like that would ever happen.

Please release additional info regarding chocobo raising & racing. Like how much each feed really helps; how much each saddle requires/boosts; if rank is all that matters or if the invisible #s within each rank have an effect; WTF the Chocobo Rope actually does. went from 10s dig delay to 5s dig delay and removed the rope with no change, so that must either mean the rope effects skillup rate OR delay is only affected by rank, not skill level.
Please add a message to world chat similar to campaign battle messages when domain invasion switches zones. Unity chat does not allow enough people at a time to receive these updates.

In this day and age, things need to change around Conquest to make it viable and fun to interact with again. Newer crafters are suffering from missing out on Regional Vendors, forcing them to other time consuming or otherwise expensive methods to obtain their materials.
Please consider any or all of the following:
Increase the number of conquest points obtained from killing enemies, shifting the tide quicker, or lower the requirements for overtaking an area.
Allow Expeditionary Force to be run solo and with Trusts.
Increase the drop-rate of Garrison items (and/or add them to the Curio Moogle), and make Garrison soloable with Trusts if it isn't already.
Consider allowing trading equipment to outposts, even if it's under beastmen control.
With the increased speed of leveling, many important areas fall by the wayside. Please make it viable to drive back the beastmen once again.

They already did this by reducing the requirements & making beastmen have to beat the 3 nations combined efforts in order to take/keep control of a region.
It would be a lot easier to conquer a region if they added one each of an apex camp & iLv.120+ non-apex camp to each region. (the 2nd being the type that drops the crafting shield cards) This way all the regions would have SOME reason for people to continuously farm them.
Could also make the unity NM kills grant some region points as well.

The lockout timer on Dynamis D is way too long, you have to beat every zone for wave 1 to start doing wave 2, the same applies to wave 3.
To upgrade gear, you have clear every zone on every single job. The amount of times you have to enter compared to the long lockouts is crazy, the zones aren't even busy to warrant this.

Yet the points are awful, please at the very least increase the amount of points from the one daily quest to 3x normal. One boost to points from one daily won't hurt anything but reward players more.
V1 this month is way too complicated for more casual players, even on very easy.

It baffles me the developers refuse to throw a bone at people doing v2 (even on a daily), when they show off about it so much.
It's like they want new people to quit at 99 when they can't make any meaningful progress, I get they want people to do v1 but v1 this month is disgusting for lesser geared players.
Nobody will take you for V1 this month unless you have good gear, it's too annoying. I love helping new players but even I won't take newer players for V1 this month (i did last) because it's so obnoxious to do unless they have good gear and know all the mechanics.
The fact barely anyone is doing Ambuscade this month at all says it all, there are no queues this month at all. Any time of the day, barely anyone is doing it.
Don't have death magic on ve/e, don't have 99% dmg reduction on Ve/E modes 90% of the time. Do give players a hallmark bonus ONCE a day when they do a daily on V2.
Please change the Ambuscade point reward for Volume Two from 300 to 1200 for Very Difficult, Difficultly.

Suggestion: make Chocobo Digging worthwhile.
There's only one way to get lots of the 1,126,125 gil items (Ruthenium Ore, Khoma Thread, etc)
Consider adding Voidwalker items to the list (Ethereal Squama).
I suggest adding them to the pool of possible items from digging. Maybe only with Treasure Finder, Burrow, Bore, or Expert rank only.
Add a few items that are ~really~ only from Gardening as well (kitron).
Redo the normal list of items to exactly match the region merchant items + items only found by digging.
Redo Burrow & Bore pools; not sure exactly how, but too many items in those pools are trash.
Remove trash items from the Treasure Finder item pool.
Adjust how 'Free Digs' are given out, such that w/ blue race silks + cap skill effectively removes the daily limit on digging. (if someone's spent the year+ it takes to cap digging, they deserve the ability to dig as much as they want)
I'm leveling digging for something to do, but it'd be way more enjoyable if there were actually items to look forward to. At the end of the day, I practically always just npc the junk I just got digging with only a few just barely worth putting on the AH instead. If I were more active crafting, none of the items in the current pool would be worth an AH slot.

Auction House Suggestion: The oldest item should sell first instead of the cheapest. The existing mechanics encourage us to undercut slightly to sell faster. For example, selling a 500k item at 491k, jumping the queue and hoping to still get 500k.

I know I have found using their Crysta method of payment system far tons easier than any other option they have for pay with debit/credit cards myself, paying into the Crysta amount than using the Crysta to pay all the fee's/sub-fee monthly which you can even put in some extra going that route to pay for the months ahead as well, Anyways just saying since not sure that is going to be helpful in whatever way you looking for but hope it was helpful! ;)

Well, I wasn't thinking that far ahead maybe some months ahead, and yeah if paying directly by credit card there are those additional fee charges to charge the card of putting the normal price of the games sub fee + char's fees & storage mog-wardrobe fees through cards transactions or to do the card monthly cycle-transactions thus it's why just use Crysta, pretty sure I didn't say a whole year ahead into the post I had put up as well. ;-P
Plus, I don't get automatically charged on my card for the game if I didn't put up any crysta yet where as the card being directly, gives freely an easy hand directly into your bank accounts to have money taken out through the card per month even if its a month turns you didn't play the game after all cause of IRL stuff came up ;D all of the suddenly. Just saying....

I use a credit card and I've never been charged additional fees. I'm aware of minimum charges for mid-billingcycle option changes but I'm always billed the standard basic service and 1 character option fee.

sellable augmented su4 su5 and necks , for example a r10 or 15 or 25 neck would sell for a higher value in bazaar than a r 0.
The problem I am seeing on my server of leviathan is the fact that we are still stuck shown with only being SU-3 gears up to the AH of the SU-1~SU3 being put up on AuctionHouse in my server and no SU4's or even SU-5's up on the auction house yet not even bazaars and yet I have seen them on some other ffxi servers AH's-etc. on twitch streams watching them play when I am not twitch streaming myself of the ffxi game, just saying though, I like some-version of that idea though which in turn probably end up being done by the games system in place which probably be the aug NPC's or by the synergy furnace even possibly done by both.
Edit: The Su-4's & SU-5's I have seen on leviathan thus far are the weapons such as Dyna-Divergence type.
I spent months getting Lik and Gugrusaurus, went through the motions to get Ebisu +1 and big money making fish still break the line. Particularly Matsya. They break the line 3/4s of the time and couple that with an insanely low drop rate of Shaper's Shawl makes the effort almost worthless taking far less time and effort to raise a craft through brute force and gil. Considering the required bait is exclusive and hard to come by it is actually a very frustrating endeavor to actually fish these as you only get 1/4 of the hooked Matsya. Most of the bait is lost to Jellyfish or monsters.
I understand the shawl could be a problem with characters making gil from crafting easier or devaluing the fish further but I do have a couple of ideas for fixing this.
1) Edit the Shawl. - Perhaps, make the shawl worth while by adding stats beyond skill ups like HQ success or material loss down, Allow it to be sent POL so you only need 1 per account, or create some restriction to it's use level like requiring a certain rank of fishing or crafting to be equipable or of use.
2) Stop the line breaks. - It's not just Matsya that make Ebisu+1 a small let down. The absolute best rod in the game has line breaks on almost every top tier fish. Ebisu+1 does give you more time but it's just disheartening to lose your previous 3 catches after fighting to bring down the stamina bar and you just end up with... nothing. I appreciate the realism but I play this game to play a game. So, instead of editing this and that and some other thing, why not add an item to the game?
Kachina Gloves +1 : Fishing skill +2, Prevents the line from snapping.
(so maybe a 1 on the skill and makes lines more resistant to snapping? But I had to try. Maybe save the above for the +2 version.)
It could be added to the RoE quests after obtaining an Ebisu+1 and make the players work for them a bit like the original. This change could drastically help with catching all sorts of gil-making fish and reward our hard work.
3)Change the means of acquisition. - Instead of having Zaldon be the gatekeeper of this annoyingly rare item, maybe have him give you a different item. Something all together worth the 3 catches/hr, ex limited bait, 1% drop rate, 110+ fishing, nocturnal, 3/4th line breaking mess that this is. Or just flat out increase the drop rate from Zaldon from that abysmal 1% to something more like 30%. The shawl in its current state is very limited on usefulness.
Lastly, I'd like to say that I personally favor Kachina Gloves +1 to help overall. Lik and Gugrusaurus are also a good way to make a profit from your skill and help players still trying for their Ebisu rods. And in the event that Lord of Ulbuka or any other of the Legendary fish end up with something Zaldon worthy (inside the belly) the gloves could help drastically with fishing them up as well.

One of the problems with FFXI is TP given to monster.
If one person attacks a monster the amount of TP fed to that monster is far far less than if you have 4 people attacking that monster, less TP = less TP moves = less healing.
This encourages super buffing (1 damage dealer and lots of buffing jobs) or summoner (which is really overpowered with it's one hour ability, that can easily be reset)
This is completely stupid, it made sense years ago. It does not make sense now, it just promotes buff jobs.
Either setTP given to monster lower, put a cap on it or greatly buff spells like Auspice (or put an augment on it based on how many people are hit with the spell).
Players should not be punished for bringing more damage dealing jobs as opposed to one. All you are doing is making Damage Dealer, GEO, Brd, Cor, Cor, Whm the only viable strategy for many fights (or just smnx5). If you change TP to monster or potency of subtle blow you can make adding more damage dealers to fights a legit strategy and change the way people play the game.

Lower the max number of lamps in nyzul isle and U, having 4-5 order lamps when it was added was fine since you almost always did it in a party and so just put one person on each. Now it's solo/duo content and trying to do order lamps is a huge pain.

I'm about to finish getting all of the coalitions to max and there's some things I don't understand.
1. Why is the requirement for the lowest level KI that quickens the imprimatur generation so high? The requirement is completing all of the coalition assignments up to and including Advisor. If you finish the coalitions in order you don't get the benefit until you're on the very last coalition.
2. By the time you have obtained all of the KIs you've already completed everything SoA has to offer. Unless you are doing coalitions for bayld (I will definitely not touch these after), it seems meaningless to reduce the imprimaturs further.

There is a well known and long standing bug with the server transfer service, if you login too fast after ordering it sometimes it does not transfer the character.
Can this be fixed, or at least a warning be put on the screen when you buy it not to login for 10 minutes?

Maximum HP and MP raises by +50% for every active Trust that you summon.
All trusts have a higher resistance to all Status Effects.
Into a weekly quest that when completed gives this trust bonus for the week.
Completion of the quest = Killing each of the 3 main HQ kings via monthly pop items (and some other requirement).
I know the idea is that you want people to group up, but to be real a lot are not going to do that and making trusts a little better will help them get more out of the game.

Some new mounts as rewards from RoE objectives, example of which being; 100 Ambuscade clears or 100 Salvage clears, or 100 King Behemoth kills etc (I like the gold idea, maybe the mounts from this could all be gold..although that maybe garish)
Mounts from this could have faster mov speed, TP regen while mounted, Hp regen, MP regen (none of this would be overpowered)

It would be convenient to have command shortcuts for teleports. For example, if you stand next to a home point, /bm1 could teleport you to Bastok Mines HP #1.
For clarity, I'm not asking for new teleportation functions, and specifically, not asking for the ability to teleport from anywhere in the game with a command. It would just be nice to access the existing teleportation abilities a little faster, without having to go through a menu of choices.

If I recall correctly, there IS a warning.
Add a text command to turn off "Mentor" logo next to your name.

I have an almost non-existent expectation anyone official will bother to reply to this but I'll try anyway:
I know the community team read this thread (among others) and I know they make notes and pass them along to be translated and passed to the developers.
Is there any chance you can tell us what things you pass along to them for consideration (at least from this thread?) It really does feel like we are wasting our time making suggestions if there is no feedback at all (other than a post every 6 months saying you read it). You're making the notes anyway so why not give us some feedback, the developers can't read these posts so we rely on you to pass it along.
Another idea is, ask the developers for us to give feedback on specific content. You could make a thread specifically for it.
For instance:
"give us your feedback on Odyssey and how we can improve it: for new players and veterans"
"give us your feedback on Ambuscade and how we can improve it: for new players and veterans"
"give us ideas on new kinds of content you would like"
Then we can give targeted feedback we know will be passed along.
There is a market for what FFXI offers, among new and returning players but the developers have to address the issues. Most people I know get to 99, do some ambuscade and quit because a) v2 is too tedious and completely unrewarding b) they can't get into groups doing v1 and can't solo it and then c) they have nothing to progress to after ambuscade anyway (and no odyssey ain't it)

the way people do this currently, is they check the auction house for items that almost never sell. Make sure there is no stock and then put one on the auction house from their main for 1gil. they then wait a few hours to make sure people don't randomly put another one up.
Then buy it on the alt, so your main gets the 50m gil or whatever.
As long as you make sure there is no stock, that yours is up for minimum gil you're gonna get the money. People do this all the time.

So I just noticed today on the leviathan Server being at the Port Windurdst fisherman's guildsales area looking at the NPC and the area around her ever since they separated her partnered NPC out from the same place but anyways back to what I noticed today that the fishes in the fish tank are actually in a stuck location not swimming but squirming about -> Upsidedown -LOL- instead what they used to be like or it used to do in the past being in the tank of the player's views while either standing there or making fisherman items/fishes from the NPC there "which by the way ~>"
:~>The dingy right in front of the fisherman guild is brilliantly great into being able to take your fish out of your mog gardens to sell upon the guild right there but wish there maybe something like that inside of the mog garden for what the fishes the port windy guild doesn't accept for the purchase of higher sales price than normal sell price of everywhere else but then again some of those mog gardens fishes are only accepted at the Aht Urgan Fishermans NPC guilds salesroom to which makes myself wishing there was a dingy in Aht Urgan waters in the city near the Fishermans Guild NPC's guildsales character & room too. I'd wager that the dingy being right there would look similar to how Port Bastok has an incoming boat/ship with the dingy in the same area I was thinking about for Aht Urhgan to have a dingy of the Mog Garden well.

Add a wildstar option to /itemsearch
Right now you have to type the exact name of an item to see if you have it, this is really cumbersome. Especially if the itemname is abbreviated, in which case typing the whole name won't work.
Add an option to type * and show any items that match it.
For instance /itemsearch "crab shell"
into /itemsearch "crab*"

Add another treasure box to mog garden with 80 spaces that you unlock with shining stars, that holds items and that does not load anywhere else but when in your mog garden (do not allow cosmetics to be used form it, this means it won't be loaded anywhere else).
I want to put all my nonsense like Abyssea seals, bonanza pearl, ambuscade upgrade items, etched mems, abjurations, upgrade mats etc that have no reason to be in functional inventory spaces in there purely for storage.

Anyway as for Quality of life stuff could you make it so people could send the guild items across to our other characters on the same account :( ? I ended up having to pay someone in game for there assistance/service with the smocks and stalls via Synergy thankfully I found someone nice enough and patient enough to help me with all of them for 7 of the crafts just so I would not have to level synergy on every single character on the same account so got that done and now all that is left is 8 shields but I think it would be a nice thing for other players who do not have these things done :confused:.

depending on what stage you are on, in the earlier 2-3 stages you can just spam the crafting kits u buy from the guild store and rotate them so you get maximum points. yeah i know its lazy but who has the time to do each and every single check off the list?

i think you misunderstood me. you can do anything and the requirement changes constantly , especially on stage 4. just craft the kits u buy from guild do 15-30 of each depending on the stage, and the crafting requirement will change all the time. you dont have to and its impossible to do every single requirement, so dont bother with it the whole time.

Auction House Suggestion: The oldest item should sell first instead of the cheapest. The existing mechanics encourage us to undercut slightly to sell faster. For example, selling a 500k item at 491k, jumping the queue and hoping to still get 500k.

Every market no matter the system "encourages" undercutting. Despite how much people whine about this, undercutting is part of a normal economy. When supply exceeds demand, things sell more slowly and people are forced to lower prices to get their sale. This happens in every MMO economy and it happen in real life too. If supply is low, prices naturally rise as people desperate to obtain an item put down whatever it takes to buy from the limited stock I really wish people would stop complaining about this. The only real solution is to beat people at their own game.
Changing the order items sell in is irrelevant anyway, because players will still still try to buy the cheapest item by setting their bid low. This idea only has any effect if there are multiple items lower than your bid. And even then the actual impact of this is questionable.
So there are 5 items up for sale, priced at 1000, 900, 925, 500, 975 oldest to newest. If I bid less than 925, I will still obtain the cheapest item. I suppose this idea means if I bid 1000 (which no smart player would do), then the 975 would sell for 1000 instead.
The only thing I see that this accomplishes is that now its easier for the seller to manipulate prices. But any savvy buyer still knows to bid as low as possible, even if it takes many tries. Which means this really just makes it easier for the seller to exploit people who don't know how the market works. Undercutting is still a thing and anyone with any smarts will still be able to get their way. Silly.
Learn supply and demand people, and deal with it.

I've suggested this before but I'm going to suggest it again:
Domain Invasion works like this:
A high level version of a Domain Invasion dragon can spawn at any time (Mieru), killing this high level dragon increases the reward from Domain invasion for everyone from then on and it stacks.
This means your daily amount can go from 20 points to 80-100 per day.
Many people, myself included very often only login to do DI to get those points.
The problem is, if the server misses one single Mieru pop the points bonus resets to the minimum amount, this for many makes DI not worth doing at all.
On smaller servers this is even worse and many players don't even bother with Domain Invasion.
Consider changing this to +1 for a win and -1 for a fail, losing all progress for one loss is unfair and gives many people no reason to login daily.

Add a job ability to all jobs, that becomes available whenever a WHM trust is called. Using this ability tells your whm trust to activate for 10 seconds to cast Protectra and Shellra. It's annoying starting any fight and having your whm casting protect and shell during the start of the fight, you can die in these first few seconds due to this.

My point was, it would be a nice QoL update because healers are often stuck in buff phase for 5 seconds at the start of a fight.

These are the legal aliens here. I am a native Asuran so I don't see any complaints in the world that you would imagine. Most of time, they are happy to be on Asura until low-populated servers get fixed.

It is overcrowded with mostly RMT or bots, get rid of them = problem solved. Also, multi-box makes up a huge amount. One LS I was in which had a large amount of "members" (so it appeared) equated to something like 40% multiboxers/alts.
I think it was one of Ruaumoko's videos on YouTube whereby he walked through Dho Gates to illustrate the point. Every.....Single....Piece....Of.....Land is covered by what appears to be automated players, stuck on top of each other, and then legit players come alone and pay them, because they can't be bothered to CP, and then the problem spreads more and more with 10 yells a second saying "Job Points".
Besides, I don't care about what happens on Asura anymore because I'm in a very active Linkshell and that is my FFXI experience, with yell turned off and not going anywhere near the likes of Dho Gates, I don't tend to not notice anymore. I just feel sorry for new players, returners or others who are left in limbo because they haven't managed to find that great LS, because outside of that, Asura is indeed ugly.

Most people went to asura because BG or someone else told them to.
The populations of the servers should be balanced, not all on one. Merge down to 4 or 6 servers. Eliminate Asura and spread the population equally amongst the other servers. I guarantee everyone will have a better game experience.

The reason Asura was popular is way back when BG and/or certain others started telling people to go there as the game started to decline. Now it's overcrowdedd at the expense of the other servers. The things I state as negatives are negatives because people went there. Balanced server populations are better for everyone. This is why the World Pass system originally existed, as well. Asura magnifies the problems we've always had and concentrates them in one place.. It is the prime example of why more is only better up to a point. It is a plain and simple fact that Asura is overcrowded, having more players now than any one server had at the game's peak. The problem is you tell people what server is the most populated, they'll want to go there even though they're not really aware that the most populated server isn't necessarily the best server. This is true for every MMO in existence that uses distinct world servers (in FFXIV for instance, the higher the server population the harder it is to obtain land and housing). More players is only good up to the player count the game was originally built to handle per server, which Asura almost certainly is exceeding.
You should really re-read your comment by the way, because I sincerely doubt people came to Asura with the express purpose of having to wait to get into contents, deal with Odoro, more RMT spam than the rest of the game combined, not to mention almost certainly more lag. I don't know anyone that WANTS those things.

It's popular because it's full of solo players that like to be around a large community, they like to be able to buy job points, they like to be able to buy gear, they like the "toxic" /yell. That you do not like these things does not mean everyone else is the same.
Some come to Asura because they think the population of 3-4k will make getting groups easier, it's really hard to make groups. It's full of solo players.
Lets use some logic, if nobody was buying the job points or gear the people would not be selling them. Demand drives supply and if you see spam in /yell for job points it's because there is a mass amount of demand.

1) Make locating quest NPCs and/or quest description easier I think one of the biggest issues and gripes of the game is not knowing which npcs are quest givers, let alone which ones are related to a particular quest. The only way that a player can even identify who is who is by either having a hard copy of an out of date Brady's Guide like I do, or searching the web for a guide. In today's MMO's, quest npcs have become a lot easier to locate due to having some sort of Icon to signal that they are a quest giver or associated with a quest that a player has currently undertaken. I think the addition of this would alleviate a lot of stress that comes with doing quests in the game.
Kinda necro-bumping OP's, I could really use this update. Seeing so many undone quest marker on maps can really help me feels compelled to finish em all. Aside from Adoulin which is semi-forced in order to obtain Ygnas trust, majority of older expansion side quests still left untouched. Few that I find actually got quite interesting story, like that beauty-&-the-beast & pinocchio type side quest story i found long time ago in ToAU.

No. Every server uses the same system. One server is actually a bunch of connected computer nodes that each handle parts of the game. This is why your item and character data needs to be retransferred every time you change areas. Each computer node handles some number of different areas. No matter how many or few people there are on a server, the same number of machines is used to maintain all the different areas,m even if nobody is in them.
The only exception is the cloned ambuscade/ WOTG layer zones. They created copies of these areas (which likely required another server instance if not another machine) primarily because Asura had absurd lines to get into contents that used those areas. Other servers actually did have lines for Ambu sometimes, but mostly just after a new update. Every server has the cloned zones though, but they are only really needed on Asura.

They may feel comfortable about themselves without worrying about people who couldn't take their mind off someone, therefore the reputation is meaningless. "small servers are for antisocial people" lol, that's the biggest falsehood I've ever heard. If anything, smaller servers have more close-knit communities who actually help each other more out of necessity.
But neither small or big is the best thing. "Just Right" is the best thing.
If you think the game wasn't designed for Asura's population then why is SE letting it opened? For years, they didn't. They merely conceded that the world pass system was too big of a barrier to friends trying to play with each other. The World Pass saystem was originally created to help keep server populations balanced- which it did, for as long as it was a thing. Then it was removed, and ppl started saying their server is better than another and imbalances crept in, and magnified over time. Putting the system back in now wouldn't solve the problem, it would take way too long with the number of actual new players entering the game to have any impact on population balance. Only current players can solve this problem now.

(Aside: There have been times you could find a fake moogle in Lower Jeuno, and you actually get the nomad moogle menu when you click on it, but you can still only view your storage and the change job function doesn't actually do it- suggesting that this functionality is keyed to the zone you're in)

I suggested they add a new treasure box to mog gardnes, with 80 storage. I dunno why they don't do that. Also make it only viewable when you select it, so it doesn't load anywhere else and cause more lag.

I notice that there's a distinct lack of any mention of a porter moogle for the new odyssey preparation area. Many players won't have space for changing gear on various jobs because of inventory issue if there isn't one.

I joined Yoran UC for some years and it is also terrible as well. What I did is just rejoining chat from Status > Unity menu, so far it doesn't really take long for me to be able doing that Unity chat RoE. If I'm lazy, I can just resume adventuring till I saw being able to join chat after zoning then clearing that RoE. Not really big deal, but then again, situation over Asura probably way more congested.
Another solution is to try getting that Monberaux trust from monthly deeds, then hopefully you can ditch whatever great unity healers & pick much less popular unity, hence way less congested unity chat. ;)
Granted, unity chat situation kinda very similar to FF14's novice network where it's congested most of time & I can only rejoin after lesser active population for the day, which in this case, personally think unity chat situation wasn't really that bad.

Partially true, partially not. The system is capable of having various icons on nameplates. Even NPC nameplates have these icons, . So while there's probably nothing in the c ode to check NPCs as they load in to see if they have a quest available, we do have the systems to display icons and this is already widely used on NPCs for various purposes. Just not for quests. So I think it's more a concious decision not to have quest markers on NPCs.

Add storage chests to 2nd floor of mog houses that are actual caskets and that are unlocked by talking to the moogle (also add a moogle to the 2nd floor), as we have with gil in mog garden.
These storage chests can only be accessed when on the 2nd floor of mog house (and do not load anywhere else in any way as to not cause lag - including lock style), and only accept non weapon / armor items and no R/E items to cause issues with checking if you own an item already. Second floor can then be used as a storage room of your mog house, not only is this an amazing boon to a lot of players but it feels right too because right now most people have little use for the 2nd floor.
Crafers, hoarders and long time players need this! My inventory issues are crippling me and I don't want more lag and/or mog wardrobes. I just want a large amount of inventory space that is just storage.
I play open world survival / building games like the forest and very often I make 2nd floors to my houses and fill them with chests, just to put all my wood, rocks etc in Lets have something like that on ffxi!

I want to start off with I know very little (aka nothing) about coding, or if this would be possible. This is a thought I had that, in my head, would maybe work? Make (8+) wardrobes that are only accessible in the mog house (iirc before they said loading more wardrobes in every zone would be a problem with loading/corruption, but moghouse doesn't have much to load, I assume.) Then, have basically have 2, 80 slot "wardrobes" tied with the job you are on that you can set items from the wardrobe to, kind of like setting blu spells, but you can only set them in your moghouse. However, you cannot remove any items from these (as they are just set, they are actually in your wardrobe in the moghouse). That would reduce your item load times from what currently is (I noticed a huge increase in item accessibility times when I added wardrobe 3-4). I don't think any job uses more then 160 pieces. With this Sheol Gaol content, I would really like to gear every job, but currently I'm limited to 9ish jobs (including mog safes etc.). The rest are retired on mules due to space. If possible, it would be nice if equipsets were setup like the above mentioned. Give each job 15+ equipset slots, only editable when your on that job. Anyone have any thoughts?

The game always loads all of your normally-functioning inventory spaces, it just does this in two phases: main inventory + wardrobes 1-4, and then everything else.
This all boils down to the more items you have, the more data has to be transferred whenever your character moves between areas. Part of the reason this happens every time is because each "server" in the game is actually a collection of server machines, each one handling different areas and so every time you move areas, the data has to be transferred not just to you but also between server machines. The transfer rate could be increased, but it's not as simple as ust changing a number because a lot of things in the game were designed around parameters that were normal 20 years ago but are obviously out of date today. So being unable to speed up the transfer because it would break other stuff, they chose to split it in phases so that you'd get access to the important stuff sooner and then it can keep loading the rest in the background.
It's also partly because this game was developed originally on PS2 dev hardware, together with the way the game was originally designed this makes changing even seemingly simple things a lot more difficult than they really should be.
The only thing you can do to help this is to free up inventory space. The time it takes the inventory to load directly correlates with the total number of items in all your main inventory spaces.

Turn /hidetrust on automatically when a player has Elvorseal in Domain Invasion (give a message saying so).
There is no need for us to see other players trusts in DI and a lot of players don't know the command exists (and never will). Turning this on when Elovorseal is on should be a no brainer.

Or, you know, fix the failure that is unity chat, just sayin.
Kick people who've been idle in the channel for 30 minutes. It's that easy. And/or change the default to unity off. 99% of people in unity don't need to be there, the chat only exists to see the dragon, so once you've done it you need to turn it off. But people won't because that's extra effort. Do it for them.

Of the two options, the easiest is to add an NPC. There is a hard cap on how many can be in the chat (64?) and if they do what you suggest someone will just make an "app" to keep them active or something anyway.
There's no point to being in the chat, if anything needs to be made its the "app" to kick them out, but not tell them it was added. Unity chat needs to be Opt in, not Opt out, that, is the easiest fix, it requires almost nothing. No one is going to make an addon to get into and stay into unity chat. but, honestly, they should, just to force square to do something.

Well, that's an easy fix too. Make more channels and remove the only good unity trusts.......... from unity. There's no point to forcing you into a whm unity because the only good whms are unity specific. But that's an entirely different complaint, that just happens to fix the problem.
Yoran Apuru Sylvie etc should all be normal trust and there should be just 100 open unity channels or none, or pretty much absolutely anything other than what they've done. Change the way the dragon is announced, remove all the actual unity chat from the unity leaders so the data isn't an issue. Streamline it.

It doesn't fix anything. It just makes a new npc for a thousand people to afk next to. Why ADD something, when you can FIX something. Instead of adding another NPC, how about acknowledging why it's a problem, and addressing it like a company should.

People wanted this way, they paid to goto that server. Some peopel want a busy server, some people want a quiet server with friends.
What you call a "fix" others would call forcing people away from what they want.

Clearly some people enjoy a packed server and wouldn't leave without some major changes to the game like, for example, linked AHs or cross-server party finder. Especially considering they could very well lose their name in the process.

They can't add these things to FFXI, it's impossible.
They won't give free transfers because most of the people on Asura paid to go there, they want to be there. They don't want to be on your server at all.
Nobody playing FFXI is unable to pay $5 for a server transfer, being free is irrelevant. If they wanted to come to your server, they would be there. If anything free transfers would just lead to auction house harvesting to a greater degree.
Trying to force people off a busy server so you get more on yours is against their wishes and would probably lead to people quitting.
If you want a busier server than Levi that is still fairly small, Bahamut is there for you. Entire shells have been transferring there for this reason over the past year.

You seem to be arguing against things I never said. I can't say I've ever told anyone on these forums they should transfer to Leviathan, and I definitely never said to force people to leave Asura. In fact, in the text you quoted I was suggesting ways to encourage people to leave of their own accord and also said that I know that some people prefer a packed server.

That is, the usual cap on the amount of gil you can take with you is lifted, among other things. They could also offer temporary perks like XIV does, where transferring from a "congested world" to a "preferred world" confers a limited time double XP bonus.
They won't give free transfers because most of the people on Asura paid to go there, they want to be there. They don't want to be on your server at all.There are existing players on Asura who don't completely like it who might transfer if they didn't have to pay for it- they just don't dislike it enough to spend money to get away from it.

A suggestion perhaps, not sure if this was mentioned prior, enable the SendPOL flag on all items to be moved over to mules. This could help with the storage issues, and allow players that no longer use an old main to move over any relevant items. Or the off chance you win a bonanza REMA it's not stuck on a mule.

BLM Buffs:
The biggest problems with BLM are
A) their singular source of damage is nukes, and they don't do enough damage to compare with a melee DD spamming WS + normal melee dmg
B) Their nukes are finite, they can run out of MP (a melee can constantly spam)
C) their nukes take too long still to cast
The positives are they are out of melee range, however Corsair, Ranger, Summoner, Scholar are still far better.
What I would suggest (I'm not a BLM main anymore so if anyone has better suggestions, post away):
1) vastly increase the dot damage from Burn, Shock, Rasp, Choke, Drown significantly (and increase the MP cost), these spells should be just below the kind of dmg a melee gets from hitting a monster normally. Elemental debuffs should be considered the "melee damage" for a blm.
2) give BLM a new Job Trait that increases the amount of TP they get from using spells (to use Myrkr WS more, even on proper group fights)
3) give BLM a new job ability that lowers cast time of spells.
A BLM can no longer just fall back on nukes, they need another source of damage and the most obvious answer is elemental debuff dots, which should be around 30-40% of their overall dmg.
I know a fear is, things like this would make them stronger at soloing things however cor, sch and rdm can already do that anyway.

2) give BLM a new Job Trait that increases the amount of TP they get from using spells (to use Myrkr WS more, even on proper group fights)
There already exists a job trait that gives BLM TP from using spells called Occult Acumen. They could instead simply give BLM higher tier of this trait. As it stands, BLM only has this trait up to tier 2, whereas sch has tier 3 and DRK has tier 5. Honestly DRK would do just fine without this trait. How often do we use elemental nukes on DRK?! They probably gave BLM such a low tier occult acumen for "balance reasons", but considering how BLM is falling behind other jobs these days, increasing that trait level wouldn't be particularly game breaking anymore.
We only really need to have BLM buffed to a point where having one around is sweet by giving them some special ability/spell/ws that makes having one around invaluable, but not to the point where everyone feels pressured to come as BLM to event. Red mage could be argued to be "almost there", as having one around for distract 3, frazzle 3, dia 3, addle 2, and so on is really nice for the harder content. More often than not, however, we tend to just roll without a red mage in party. There is simply sheer lack of hard enough content to warrant having a red mage around right now. Giving BLM something like ability to shatter enemy magic defense big time, would not only boost their own dmg output, but also increase their status to RDM level of nice to have one around at least. This would also turn BLM into backup option to idris geomancer as far as reducing enemy magic defense goes, in case nobody in party happens to have idris geo, further increasing the value of this particular job.

Add an "equipment changed" message when using equipsets. It's annoying to have the message on normal macros and no message on equipsets, I often keep checking my gear actually changed because there is no message.

Using the command /equipset # echo will print in log if the set equips.
