Are there any plans to increase the number of Macro Gear Sets? Although it initially sounds like a lot, 100 sets isn't enough for preparing multiple endgame jobs. (especially if you want to use Job Ability sets, for multiple jobs)

I suggested something similar a few times in recent years. The core battle music is of course awesome, but we also have to remember that we've been listening to it for over a decade. If we kill a lot of mobs, we've heard non-stop Battle Music for many years!
A few years ago, I suggested a Key Item, iMog Player, a magical Walkman-type device that plays any music in the game continuously on a loop, regardless of circumstance, battle or area. So if you really love Sarutabaruta music as much as I do (and that is a LOT of love) you could choose to have this music playing instead of battle music. Or the Oldton Movalpolos super seventies disco music, or any other game music.
Or simply having a disable/enable toggle on battle music, so you can listen to the native ambient music of the area you're XPing in.
I would prefer the iMog Player, so I can listen to Sarutabaruta and Oldton music regardless of where I am. But a battle music on/off toggle would also be good enough.
I don't think there was a reply to my previous suggestions, or maybe a no current plans reply. It didn't really get much traction, lol.

One of the Lore ideas I was toying with, was that you could select a soundtrack on your Orchestrion while you are in your Moghouse, and there would be a toggle option "play this music on your iMog remote player?"
If you select "yes" then the music will continue to play after leaving your Moghouse, and will not stop playing until you go back to the Moghouse and change it, or use the CONFIG "disable iMog player" option.
The Lore is that you already have an Orchestrion machine in your Moghouse which plays music, which you can select at will. And your Moogle can use a magical device to remotely transmit this Moghouse music to you via Moogle Power, so that you can enjoy the current Moghouse music even when you are away from the Moghouse, and even during battles.

It's already pretty easy to achieve that just by swapping DAT files around. The data files containing the music are pretty well documented now. There are even tools for swapping the DATs you want.

In general, I don't think we discuss modifying the game in such ways on Square Enix's OF.

One of the suggestions I've seen that I've really liked is that mastering a job allows you to fully merit everything for the job.
While this is an interesting idea, the entire concept of merit points is very different from job points, especially in the sense that they can be earned on any job you wish. Balance adjustments have been made based on the caps for each job’s merit point categories, so making it possible to max out each one would result in the necessity for re-balancing. Due to these reasons we do not have any plans at the moment to make it possible to max out all merit point categories.

So not only are you not a master, there really would be little balancing needed, NONE of the merit point buffs are anything to shout home about.

And let's face it, capping JPs seems to be simply running round the end-game zone in a party AoEing everything in sight for hours on end, hardly difficult merely a horrendous time-sink which I guess some people equate to 'difficult' and thus worthy of some sort of reward.

Merit "balance" was kinda throw out of the window when every piece of equipment started to give you a bazillion of + in each stat.

Eh, considering you can regain merits to re-spec with such ease nowadays the limit is mostly an inconvenience rather than a balance issue.
And while I personally don't care about maxing merits I think saying that maxing categories would require rebalancing in post ilvl XI is just plain silly.

Perhaps it could be addressed on a job-by-job basis? I doubt that there would be any balance implications if BLM could max out all AMII's or RDM could get all their debuffs. It always seemed rather unfair that certain jobs have to spread out their merits more than others just to get the base functionality. There are also quite a few that feel like they should be baked-in to the jobs rather than merit choices at this point.
For example, BST's "Beast Affinity" is essentially required to compensate for the undocumented oddities of jug pets. (There is nothing on the jugs that state their level when used in ilvl gear, which determines the level they spawn at.) Not choosing Double/Triple Attack for WAR/THF is most likely a bad choice.
Choices like those don't really count as "choices" if not choosing them is a flat-out error. Maybe we can get some of the "choices" like these converted into traits @ 99? If not, maybe simply increase the cap by 5 in each category for jobs that have 4-5 choices, and allow the elemental categories to be fully capped? (or at least possible to have even numbers across them all? Asymmetry bothers me.)

Any chance we could get the combat/magic skill displays to show every skill type you've unlocked a job for(instead of only the skills your immediate job allows for), as well as your actual value per whatever job it's the highest on, and lastly the cap you're currently capable of?

The functionality exists in game, since if you select an offensive spell/JA from the menu, it won't let you cast it on a random npc. Can we have a "macro pronoun" that exactly mimics this?
<stnpc> exists but it will pick up soul pyres, ???s, npc objects.

Doesn't happen naturally because the client's hardcoding. They're through merits/JP because it allows them to introduce new skills/abilities/etc beyond that hardcoded limit.

You don't know this, and there's no evidence to support this, especially since the merit system, in its full scope, existed prior to the addition of the four most recent jobs. Supporting my argument, all four of those jobs (SCH, DNC, GEO, RUN) have a plethora of baseline abilities and/or spells unique to the job.
The design of the merit system didn't have had anything to do with compartmentalizing abilities/spells for programming reasons.
As to job points, a few jobs get spells through JP that other jobs get baseline. It's done this way merely for the sake of feeling like your character is growing stronger, in regard to both systems.

Are we ever going to see more High Tier Battlefields? It upsets me a bit to see this seems to be content they're no longer interested in pursuing. Especially since there are some battles they could reasonably get more content out of it.
Battles against Lady Lilith and Hades for starters- granted, in Hades, case, it would probably be only level 119 and above. Bahamut and Apocalypse Nigh would also be opportunities. Even a Very Difficult Cloud of Darkness. I, for one, would love a fight against Cloud of Darkness that isn't even remotely soloable.
It seems like an opportunity for more content that ought to be easier to create, but is not Ambuscade.

May have already been mentioned before, but what is the deal with trust using high level weaponskills at lower levels like 5? Anyway players can use unlocked weapon skills at any level, so long as they unlocked it with the necessary skill requirement in general? If this has been mentioned or shot down before, don't mind it; this would be great for guys like me getting back into the groove or players doing capped content.

ive been to mayb 3 cap parties yes only three ive solod almost 1k cap points on rdm and im not about to zerg high lvl mobs in a party that only wants my rdm as a healer when other jobs do much better at healing nucing tanking buffing u name it rdm is on the end of the list... i heal i get hate im dead(0 defence stoneskin melts like a newb) i nuc also dead...debuff a fe times again ive got hate same dead....buff up new mobs dont like it so again im dead ...maybe a repeating pattern? idk

So there's one of these type of threads on the FFXIV forums, but when I come here there seems to be a lot of suggestions for different stuff, but not a thread where many people can come and post all of there suggestions in one place for the devs to look at all once. So I thought that it would be a great idea to make this thread. And seeing as how over the last 2-3 years the devs have become more responsive, I figured, why not give it a try? So what are some things that could help make this game better for both new and veteran players?
Here's two things from me that I feel should be addressed to help make a player's life in the game easier and bring the game up to date with current MMO's.
1) Make locating quest NPCs and/or quest description easier I think one of the biggest issues and gripes of the game is not knowing which npcs are quest givers, let alone which ones are related to a particular quest. The only way that a player can even identify who is who is by either having a hard copy of an out of date Brady's Guide like I do, or searching the web for a guide. In today's MMO's, quest npcs have become a lot easier to locate due to having some sort of Icon to signal that they are a quest giver or associated with a quest that a player has currently undertaken. I think the addition of this would alleviate a lot of stress that comes with doing quests in the game.
2) Empyrean Armor Seals Storage. This is by far the biggest issue I have to date. Nothing sucks more than having a bunch of for your Empyrean Armor taking up a lot of inventory space. Sure I could just drop what I don't need for my main job, but then the problem that comes in is what happens when I need to reacquire those same seals later on in my FFXI career for another job? Having an npc that players can store those excessive amounts of seals on would do wonders for people like myself who like to level and play multiple jobs.
I do have one more suggestion that came to mind as I was typing.
3) Artifact Weapon Upgrades. With the newly acquired ability to reforge and upgrade our Relic/Mythic/Empyrean Weapons I couldn't help but wonder, what happened to our very first special weapon...our Artifact Weapons? Back in the day, Artifact weapons were the first step to mastering you role/job. For some jobs, the artifact weapon was an useful addition to a lvl 40-42 job, but for others they were just an road block that needed to be passed in order to get your af body armor. My suggestion is to allow us to reforge them as well. Some players may gripe about having to upgrade yet another weapon, but the great thing about this game is that you always have some piece of gear that's more useful than others.

4) NPC Adventuring Fellow armor upgrades. While most people complain about not being able to lvl their npc fellow the last 4 lvls, my complaint is a bit more different and I don't think most people have mentioned this. Why is it that our npcs our still stuck wearing outdated pre-CoP gear? I mean how is it that they were released like a patch or two after the release of CoP and yet, you can't equip them with even that expansion's set of gear. I mean sure, while gear absolutely has no effect on your npc fellow's stats, I think it would be nice to have gear options that are more up to date with the latest expansion as opposed to Vanilla or RoTZ out dated gear. So why not SE? Trust npcs are nice, you've really neglected our npc fellows over the years.
That's it for me, but what other suggestions do you guys have that could help make this game better and breathe new life into the game?
make the things that happen in the past have results(or lack) in present.... example u have prisoners in al zhibi why not do same in past ....exomille captured in past missing in present till hes returned....wont make a great deal of change in some npc's but results in others missing will be needing a direct responce .... i used to come acrossed npc's missing with the message "(NPC<NAME> needed a coffee break hell/shell be back in a vadeil day) dont see those anymore

With the chocobo changes I've been messing around with raising and racing the birds again, and I got to thinking: Since we now have the warp networks that let us instantly zip around between cities, could you remove the forced entrance/exit lockout on the Chocobo Circuit? There's no reason to force a player to leave through the same city door they entered from anymore, or force us to use a specific entrance to reach our Free Run NPC.

With the changes this month to the sparks npc making it easier to buy the same item repeatedly, how about changing Prize Powders so they stack to 99? Would be a small amount of work for a major impact on QOL (particularly for newer players.) You are allowed to buy hundreds at a time, but 12/stack makes it become a lot of extra time, inventory space, and keystrokes (laptop's getting old, starting to worry about keyboard wearing out lol) to sell to an npc.

How about reducing respawn timers on monsters in all zones released prior to Seekers of Adoulin to 5 minutes or less?
It's easier/faster than ever to get from level 1 to 99 and even the most casual players are running around in item level 117 gear, so it doesn't make any sense to have to wait 10-15 mins, and in some cases even longer, for monsters in older zones to respawn. Is there any practical reason as to why such a change wouldn't/shouldn't happen?

I know I might the only person here who cares about campaign. But can you please lower the amount of Campaign ops it takes to unlock the next tier? You lower the Requirement from 3-6 people to 1 person. But you realize that when they completed it, it was 6 people turning it in at once compare to just me trying to spam it over and over. It literally takes hrs for me to unlock the next tier.

What do you think about a "Preferred Trust" option for solo play. This would work like the preferred locations we have for home point and manual. Let us select the trusts that u use the most so you can summon them all at once instead of one by one.
I dont know about other players but when I solo I usually play with the same trusts and only change them for things like dyna.

Well my macros are kinda packed....since some people dont play with "you-know-what".
Also a macro summons them one by one yes? I was thinking the reverse of the /refa all thing that they all get summoned at once. Mainly because I loose almost a minute summoning them one by one.

Nice, while youre at it, fix the REAL problem with VW. CELLS. I want to put 99 cells in and let it automatically take 6 per pop so I can stop trading. And No more stones. Just pop pop pop.

I hope we can also trade voiddust to the NPC stock now too. That's much more of an issue than displacers.
QOL change I'd love to see having done this a shitload of times; Change Guild points so we can get 5~7k a day no matter what item it is... or allow us to turn in any item for a set number of points up to a higher maximum. Guild points are still really grindy for no real reason. The days when you can only get 2k points for 50 items are really unreasonable.

I'm helping a friend and wanted to ask this. Can we please add Qufim Island and the Cloisters of Elements as approved places to go for the unlocking SMN quest? Beaucedine Glacier is accepted for Ice but Qufim isn't for Lightning? And why wouldn't it be okay to go to the element sources themselves to get the lights? I feel like this should have been a thing from the beginning for those brave enough to venture to these hard to reach places.

Camate and Akihiko Matsui I have killed too much avatar and the NPC in port jeuno can no longer store chapter's 9 because it's full. Now i don't know what to do with these 99 Rem's Tale Ch.9 . These Rem's Tales cost about 15,000 sparks points which is worth probably 150,000 gil and that's a lot of money. I don't wanna throw them away seeing that cost so much spark.
Suggestion:
Sell them to NPC
Trade them for other Rem's Tale you don't have like 1, 2, 3 etc.
Trade them for spark points
Trade them for copper
anything you can do about this is much appreciated.

Akihiko Matsui and Camate I like wow the armor set Flamma have high magic defense and magic evasion that's a 9.5/10 ranking! You did such a good job and thank you so showing appreciation to job like war, drk, and drg. Those job can't survive like a blue Mage can so the Flamma armor set is very good. I would of given it 10/10 if you add attack but seems to not have attack only accuracy. Now it's fair since Herculean set also have good magic defense and magic evasion. I just notice is Flamma suppose to have BST in it too? Don't forget all the old gear from Escha need some love too they need magic defense and magic evasion like Flamma armor.
This month October 2016 Ambuscade people are active like crazy toward Intense Ambuscade. It seems like a lot of people were sign in and very crowded in the weekend. Keep up the good work. A lot of money was made doing Ambuscade so very happy with that. I hope next month November is this good or even better. Killing Frog NM wasn't boring since they are very squishy...
I have notice that the skirmish item are gone. I hope you add some vagary items to the mix.

Your stock of voidstones and the voidstone key items function in different ways. When trading in voiddust, these items are automatically converted into key items held in your character data. However, the stock of voidstones is only calculated through time, and it cannot be added to in any other way besides time adjustments such as through the obtainment of abyssites.
Therefore in order to address this we would either have to revamp the key item system to accommodate for a much larger amount of voidstones to be held or address the way stock is managed. Both of these options would require a considerable amount of resources to accomplish, and unfortunately is not something that we can realistically do at the moment.
Apologies for the inconvenience of having to head back to town to trade in more voiddust, but we would greatly appreciate your understanding.
If you can do it with Crystal Petrifacts, you can do it with Voiddust. Stop making lame excuses.

If it's a problem just remove void stones from being a thing you need in order to pop a NM or get loot until you have the tools needed to fix it.
This content is nearly 100% irrelevant at this point and the only real reason people (dreadfully) do it is because HMP/riftcinders are still horrible designed and forced onto us to upgrade our emps to 119.
Another solution, as shown below, is allowing us to train voiddust directly to the rifts.
There's many work arounds and solutions.

From what I've seen it seems like they tend to be favoring putting bst on light DD sets instead of a mix of it and heavy and they to go in line with that will probably put it on Denali set. Would also allow them to sneak some pet stats in there without other people complaining they put a stat in there that is only useable by 1 job that can wear it. If they are really that convinced we are light DDs though they really should give us native dual wield like other 1hd light dds...
It's a little ridiculous that BST got REMOVED from the set though. BST "CAN" still DD. It didn't need to have pet stats added, but it should've 100% been left on as DD pieces. It's completely moronic.
The Denali set isn't going to be pet heavy or THF DNC COR will be EXTREMELY PISSED. So seriously, put BST back on the Askar set.

I'm just surprised I got a direct response because I've literally been waiting for an answer for months. I've asked about this multiple times. I'm sure some solution can be made because it is unfair for newly made characters to be inconvenienced in this way. Even for someone who has 3k+ voidstones, if they farm their Empyrean weapon, they probably don't have enough stones to farm another weapon if they wanted a second. Please have the dev team look for other options.

It's a little ridiculous that BST got REMOVED from the set though. BST "CAN" still DD. It didn't need to have pet stats added, but it should've 100% been left on as DD pieces. It's completely moronic.
The Denali set isn't going to be pet heavy or THF DNC COR will be EXTREMELY PISSED. So seriously, put BST back on the Askar set.

I said light DD not not DD. And I said include some pet stats not heavy. Like look at Meghanada. A piece with sharpshot and a piece with deadaim stats that are basically useless to 2/3 the jobs on it. It's also arguably better set for DDing on bst than suvelia would've been though it also was more consistent with previous sets. I could definitely see them adding a pet stat in a piece or 2 if there were 2 pet jobs. And also maybe a ranged stat or 2 etc. But overall be for light DD.

Yeah BST, SAM, DRG have always been there in limbo. There's no rhyme or reason to what plate they can wear what they can't. NIN gets a few oddball pieces too but rarer.
It's possible, but not likely, that it's a mistake. You might consider a bug report.

I'm just surprised I got a direct response because I've literally been waiting for an answer for months. I've asked about this multiple times. I'm sure some solution can be made because it is unfair for newly made characters to be inconvenienced in this way. Even for someone who has 3k+ voidstones, if they farm their Empyrean weapon, they probably don't have enough stones to farm another weapon if they wanted a second. Please have the dev team look for other options.
It's entirely fair that newly made characters have to wait to build up stock actually. Older characters had to go thru the same wait time to build up stock as well. I agree that it's definitely inconvenient enough to be frustrating, but what Camate is saying about the difficulty in making the suggested change makes a lot of sense to me, so I can understand the reasoning on the decision. So, I have a different suggestion..
There is a Key Item that you get from completing Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, "Phoenix's Blessing", that has always done exactly "nothing". There is also "Scintillating Rhapsody" which is only related to Aeonic Weapons currently. Why not attach to one of them any new system adjustments that you don't want to be baseline? We know from the other Rhapsody KIs that you can attach quite a few buffs to a single KI, and completion of the RoV storyline is a big enough accomplishment that it would make sense to receive some nice perks.
Some things that should make the playerbase almost universally happy:
Reduction of Voidstone restock time. This bybasses the need to make actual changes to the voidstone/voiddust system, in addition to making everyone's farming goals more realistic to reach.
Reduction of Imprimatur restock time. It's still overly painful that there is a mandatory delay in making Ergon weapons. I'm positive that I remember that this was planned to be added to a RoV KI at one point, but never happened. So make it happen. :D
Bonus regional currency for killing non-NM monsters. Conquest Points / Bayld / Silt / etc... I know quite a few players who have a hard time building up silt reserves, I have always had a shortage of Conquest Points since I restarted on a new account last year, and I'm sure we're not alone on this.
Crafting bonuses for success+ and material loss- (I imagine that skill+ or HQ rate+ would be too much to ask for and possibly upset some players who'd prefer less competition in the high ticket item market. Even better would be a shortened crafting time, though I doubt it would be easy to implement.)
Exp+20% and CP+10% ... This would raise the total bonus from RoV KIs to an even Exp+200% and CP+100%. Mainly for the OCDers like me out there who prefer round numbers.
I'm sure there are plenty of other ideas that would make no one unhappy, and this method should give you a means to make QoL improvements with a minimum of resources. There are also quite a few other RoV KIs that only have Exp/CP+ & Curio Moogle unlocks, so they could be considered for updates as well.

It is unfair because unless my character has been stockpiling stones for the last 3+ years with both KIs, I would not have enough stones to farm empyrean requirements myself. It's ridiculous to say "we had to wait so you should too" especially since most people with characters that have a lot of stones were around when VW was still popular content. Right now, VW, or specifically level 90 and 99 Empyrean weapons, is exclusionary to those characters (and very rich players). Either reducing the timers even further or allowing voiddust to be traded directly to the spawn point or something equal will level the playing field for all players, as characters that have been around longer will get even more stones than newer characters (or at least the same amount). Otherwise newer characters can't participate as easily or readily as everyone else, even if they get all the restock KIs and such.

They already gave us a workaround w/ the 119III AG upgrades. It is much simpler to farm PBR rocks than riftdross, and odds are good that going the new route will be cheaper as well if you prefer to go the buying route vs farming yourself.

I'm just nitpicking over your choice of words tbh. ^^;; The current situation may be "unpleasant", "annoying", "frustrating", "rage inducing", "unfun", etc., but it is still technically "fair" since everyone suffers equally. We are trying to communicate across a language barrier after all, so it is everyone's best interest if we choose words that get across our concerns clearly. I personally believe that the dev team will be more likely to pay attention to what we have to say if we give the impression of intelligent, rational individuals who care about the continuing state of the product we are paying for, rather than ambiguous whiners complaining about not enough instant gratification. (And to be clear, this statement is not aimed at any individual here. Please don't take offense as none is intended.)
To head off any accusations of having mass stockpiles of voidstones, I am speaking from the point of view of a old-school returnee who started from scratch on new accounts in August 2015. I didn't even know what Voidwatch was much less how to get anything done with it or what I should be aiming to farm. And I've run into the issue of not having a working stock of stones quite a few times since then, being forced to wait on recharge just to be able to clear the content, no where near being able to worry about farming it.
That is why I suggested tagging new perks to the old flavor-only KIs from ROV, including reducing the recharge time on stones. I don't see a game design or implementation reason for nixxing the idea, and it would reduce the artificial timesink/roadblock looming in the way of players who want to work on Empyrean weapons or farm their own reforging materials. There really doesn't seem to be any reason for the timers to be the only constraint on completing the content at this point, especially given the easily accessible large quantities available from Ambuscade now. I believe we should have an equally viable choice whether we want to spend our time farming VW or Ambuscade.

Well legendary weapon isn't meant to be made in short amount of time solo. There are multiple ways to accomplish an empyrean or make a 2nd empyrean without solo VW, such as craft for gil then buy hmp, merc NM for gil, do intense ambuscade then buy hmp or sell currency then buy hmp, lowman vagary and sell mat for gil, lowman delve and sell mat with plasm etc.
A lot of group activities in this game could accomplish same level of gil/hr as solo spam VW for days. This is a MMO, people who only want to solo spam lv 99 content repeatly shouldn't be able to accomplish a legendary as fast as those who play group activities IMO.

So while I was a little off on the exact set (and totally didn't think they'd do smn too lol) totally called putting pup and bst together for more pet stats

They're gonna HAVE to add some more "pet" on there to get people to care even a little bit about ambu this month, especially after how easy last month was and how grindy this month will be.

QOL change I'd love to see having done this a shitload of times; Change Guild points so we can get 5~7k a day no matter what item it is... or allow us to turn in any item for a set number of points up to a higher maximum. Guild points are still really grindy for no real reason. The days when you can only get 2k points for 50 items are really unreasonable.

Guild Point turn-in caps have been tripled in the Nov update. No changes in amount of points per trade-in though, so those "50 items per day" days are now "150 items per day" ^^;;; I am quite happy that my cap for today is just under 20k GP even if I have to wade thru a few more synths daily.
Does seem a lil lopsided against primarily consumable crafts like cooking/alchemy in a way, but the extra number of required synths per day should be offset in mat cost compared to durable crafts normally. You can also always lobby for the items to be added as synergy recipes XD Higher yields + 0% risk of mat loss = Fewer synths required for enough to cap at least.

I think this is definitely a good option and any help on the matter is better than nothing but I was simply saying that to say it's even for everyone is not true. Plenty of people who were around during VW's height of popularity either already have their weapon, have made it when the updates occurred earlier this year and have enough for a second or 3rd, or have thousands of stones that can be used for multiple weapons or one weapon and millions of gil for something else. These players can still spam ambuscade, still do high level content for rewards and basically double their earnings. This isn't even. I understand there's not much that can be done about this and I don't really mean to complain if it sounds that way because I have accepted this as the reality and have made measures to combat this on my own character. But don't say it's even because it's not. Not when I have 300 stones on one character and someone else has over 3000 on many characters.

It's not really fair to compare the difficulty of VW/empyrean and dyna/relic considering most of the empyrean weapons are more powerful than relics. Some of the empyrean weapons are extremely powerful, and it doesn't require assult/nyzul/plasm like mythic/ergon, thus it only makes more sense that empyreans are more expensive than other weapons.
Plenty of people have been asking for easier VW in the past but we all know that means empyrean would be cheaper in the end, thus decreasing the value of this weapon class.
Oh and btw, a fully upgraded mythic cost 280m(30000x6000+10000x10000) and nyzul assult, a fully upgraded relic cost 150m, a fully upgraded empy cost 300m(1500x100000+1,000,000x60+10000x9000)If you can make 150m for a relic in 2 weeks that means you make 10m a day, therefore you should be able to finish an empy in a month.
If you can make a mythic in 2 months, that means you can make close to 5m a day, therefore you can also finish an empy in 2 months.
I mean, what's so bad about making empy when you can farm dyna/salvage for gil then buy HMP? They are literally the same.

It gets a bit annoying when you accidentally walk and it locks you for 5 minutes.
At least it would be good to separate clear the way reives with the lair ones.

It's usually pretty close though since ambuscade. I'm not on an exactly high population server and there are generally 20-30 stacks of hmp up on the at a time with several stacks sold a day and bunch in bazaars. Rift is usually a little harder outside of campaign but usually enough to be able to get it in a couple of days unless you are me if you check bazaars too... which if you start buying before you have made all your gil for it isn't anything.

If you want to pay for more inventory pay $1.00 for a mule and have 560 more spaces NOT including Mog Wardrobes, gear was the only issue with Inventory, nobody should really struggle with inventory otherwise, even crafters.

I know a few hardcore swappers out there and even they don't have 160 gears for a single job. Your statement "play correctly", implying that anyone who hasn't bent over to get every slightly useful item in the entire game for every single job they play is dubious at best and insultingly totally wrong at worst. If you said, "that's not enough to play more than 2 jobs 100% perfectly min-maxed", that would be more acceptable, as that doesn't imply the ineptitude of someone who hasn't gotten every possible useful item for their job yet. Not just me but every player in this game who hasn't achieved total minmaxing perfection (which is most of them) on their jobs should be insulted by your statement.

You don't need to use all sets, several abilities, spells etc use less than 5 slots so fit fine in normal macros, and would allow you to go further than the available 100 sets.
Though I do think it's near impossible to fill up 320 spaces with gear for two jobs, even RDM and BLU.

It's a visually unique zone, so it would be very nice if it wasn't so painful to get around in. If the warp was limited to the " " that you've already activated, it wouldn't affect the difficulty of any missions related to the zone.
It would also be wonderful if we could get a similar system in Inner Ra'Kaznar, but not sure how that would work w/ the warp pads. :/

It's an extremely low-lvl function that is hardcoded all over the program :/ Would basically take a full rewrite of both the client and server software in order to change, and they said that there are no plans to do so at this time during the AMA this summer. :(

There is already a loading order. If you are outside, then you can safely change equipment after the first loading icon disappears and your accessible inventories are loaded. The second icon includes the spots like Storage, Mog Safe, etc and doesn't need to be fully loaded before you can actually start playing. Basically cuts the time down from zone > safe by half, when compared to a full inventory loading time.
They changed the way that inventory loads on zoning when they added Wardrobes 3/4 so that it was split into two phases, the order of which determined by whether you are in your Mog House/Garden or not. This was explicitly due to the increase in loading times being oppressive when it was all part of the same operation. There is absolutely no reason to remove a solution that was already put in place to prevent what you apparently want to happen.
Your request is a bad idea, plain and simple. It would do little more for the vast majority of players other than increase loading times when zoning.
As an example, I for one do not enjoy the risk of destroying 300k-500k per HQ jug pet because I hit my Call Beast macro too soon after zoning, while I unfortunately still had a HQ jug equipped from a previously failed macro call, so it doesn't get swapped out properly. The same thing has happened to me on COR and I lost R/EX ammo. I am not able to understand why anyone is requesting for the amount of time we have to stand around before hitting things to be at least doubled.

My mind is boggled by this statement. I honestly can't imagine why you would need 160x equipments for a job like PLD... It's not complicated enough of a job to require anywhere near that much :/ Same goes for BLM.....
Can you list the sets (ex: TP, dt-, mdt-, MAB+, etc. not a full list of individual pieces) that you use for BLM and PLD? I'm betting there is a lot of almost-never-used and/or redundant gear and/or un-synergized equips in there..

Yeah, I have everything tanky for PLD and if I don't count shared equipment (Defending Ring, Rajas, Brutal), I'm well under 80 slots.
This is just guesstimates.
15 tanking body pieces (head, body...feet) (didn't count, 10 is probably more accurate)
5 fast cast
5 for casual TP
3 body gear equips for spell-interruption rate
5 for atonement aftermath
3 shields, I have four swords but I only use burtgang.
5 Cure potency but most of this will be cpot recieved from souveran
4 relic for ja enhacement + the escha hand for divine skill
Most of your enmity set is souveran, or should be.
I have phalanx enhancing equipment but 2 of these are souveran
say 3 ws sets (savage and req can basically share an SB optimized set, I don't personally use an atonement set but meh, and CDC)
At best that's like 65 body armors/sword/shields not counting accessories (jse capes, the adouline jse for phalanx, other random gears). I guess 80 slots would be feasible but if you're rocking 80 accessories, wow, and simultaneously claiming none of that overlaps with other jobs.

I have a very simple request that should be very easy to implement... Please make all HQ crystals available from the Celebratory Chests... Even if for no other reason than it's very very irritating that we have to buy them one at a time from the Guild Points vendor.

Brew still has a use. Before melee woc being discovered as best strat it's very hard to accomplish 100% win rate with mage setup unless you go with 6 man and roll with prebuff mules. So it's pretty tough for people to obtain earring from it due to having to lot against other people after finally getting a win.
There someone on this server that I know of ended up brewing WoC 2~3 times(he just had that much silt) and got his earring.
I can see brew being useful for people wanting specific drop from harder NM but never manage to win lot, or don't have a group that can kill it. Since brew allows harder NM like WoC being killed solo(there are woc solo video on youtube) I think 11m silt is reasonable. This is MMO, and solo should require a LOT more effort than group play.

I would honestly MUCH prefer to pay with gil. GP is MUCH more annoying to come by. I'd also bet that it would be a far simpler task to add items to a standard NPC vendor than to change a part of a complicated menu-based system which hasn't been touched much in the last decade. The "HQ crystal should HQ more" thing would definitely be nice, but also probably more trouble than it's worth since they were only added/designed to allow for signing synths. I'd love it if there was a way to preserve the signature on signed cursed gear though :D

It's a bad idea to spend dev time on making a sidegrade/spacesaver reforge stage when they could be making actual new gear instead. Especially since it would take 16-20, far from inexpensive, upgrade stages per slot to reach that stage, plus the most-likely astronomical costs involved if it follows the same pattern of prior reforges. (Yes, certain upgrade stages are skippable, but that's the "proper" progression.) ...Wouldn't mind too much if they were added as Synergy recipes during an otherwise already slow month at some point though. XD
It's also a bad idea to make any reforges master-only since that does nothing but lock out anyone who isn't already "done" with the job before being able to benefit from it.

Blindly upgrading and carrying around is not the best idea. Porter Moogle exists so the option to tuck never-used pieces exists as well.

I looked you up--you're a souv +1 PLD (so am I)
My BDT set is basically my general DT set. 24% from 5/5 Souveran +1 including bonus, 17% for d.ring + vocane. Souveran head +1 had 7% BDT on it so you're at 48% with both earrings, back, waist, and neck for "options". Because Souveran has far and away the most HP, this is the most practical way to do this.
Most of my enmity set is my Souveran set, because it's loaded with enmity and swapping to anything else lowers your hp. I don't have hate troubles.
Reprisal set is literally one piece of gear (Shabit Cuirass), two if you count Priwen. The only thing special about reprisal is that the recast time on reprisal is pretty important so you have more fastcast at the end than other sets.
Chivalry is one piece of specialized gear.
Even if you do have multiple sets of souveran +1, cureself is mostly the souveran +1 you idle in. Probably something like Jumalik Body, the hands from that little bird UNM and 3/5 souveran for visible slots.
Your MAB and Sanguine sets are very largely the same set. MAB might have some magic accuracy in there.
Rampart, you can go all out but I doubt even then it's more than a few high vit accessories and relic head for the duration enhancement.
The rest of the sets are only a few pieces or there's a lot lot of overlap with other sets.

This is already a thing. You can unlock the Ephemeral Moogle with Star Points at the Mog Garden

Not true. You put Chivalry in which is no modifier ja that you only really boosted by hands.
And as I stated before it isn't many different so much as slight variations/combinations of other sets as Omnys went into more detail over. I'd only really call about 1/3 of those individual sets with the rest borrowing from others as they have might have more than one and maybe adding a piece. So yes they are "sets" in the sense that you'd have them set as things to macro to... but not in the sense I have I have 20 sets of different equipment that are destroying my invent

You know, I'm going to build a MNK just to demonstrate how wrong people are when they say this. MNK, or specifically H2H has the same problem as Great Axe and Scythe, WS's that don't scale so well and can't be boosted to really high damage. Their claim to fame is Formless Strikes, Mantra and moderately strong damage.
Yay for GEOs but they are the almost the only job in the game that doesn't need help right now

if there any possible way as a new ease of life added please consider this idea. opening the silt pouches can be tedious and i have earned 25 mil silt by now and used more than half brewing and augmenting. I would like to open the 4,300 pouches i have stored on my mule from gain exps over FOREVER! Once i hit 16mil i kinda gave up on opening those i couldnt stand it anymore and the spring on my old microsoft internet keyboard (old school ya..) finaly broke hitting the enter key so much. 99 buck for a new one (rare to find new)/ the idea i have is that the 1st npc in norg that offers eschalixers (perhaps this npc) or a new one added in norg that will except only stacks (x99) of pouches opening them all at once! with the same system random as single manual. i know people using windower have scripted this and that fine i know many do scripts now but i dont use windower ever in 15 + years. i appreciated the NPC records of eminence change to not exit the menu each time purchase spark items 1-99 (like for gain exp dumps). others used scripts doing it insant for long time before this change. please add this option to get rid of stacks (x99) at once i have 4,300 total it take me forever and mabey 1 more keyboard haha! (joke?) to open this and i earned them over many many hours in 4 hour gain exps which already is no small effort in time.. thanks for listening and if ya think this may ease life or others like me? please reply with a big YES PLEASE SE! HELP US OUT! ty ty

QoL idea: Party status icons are great and everything. Can we get some feature improvements:
- A size option, so the debuffs can be bigger.
- An option to turn off buffs being visible, only debuffs.
- The ability to focus a target and tab through others? You might want to focus a tank and at least periodically check on others.
Showing buffs for alliance would be nice too.

As a returning playing and coming from XIV these are the issues I had with the game so far.
Trusts can't walk on ramps. They end up teleporting to the location of the player.
Audio, 5 Trusts walking behind you can sound very loud. Mute the walking sounds for them.
Too many forms of teleportation. Streamline it better. Remove some of the SoA Warps/changed to crystals. This includes Book warps.
No Teleport icon locations on Abyssea Maps.
AH is a complete mess with the 6 item placement limit. Coming from XIV where I can place 50+ items on a market board.
Draw Distance is still very bad.
20+ sec cool down after you summon a mount. Make it no cool down.
Old teleport items still have a huge cool down, limited usage. Dem ring/Tav ring/Oldrum ring/Warp Club etc need to be updated to be on par with the Warp Ring.
Players are not given notice if Trusts are allowed to be summoned in some battlefields. Its a guessing game and outdated wiki's don't give info on Trust access.
Story line quests would make me go to the same locations at least 5-20x to trigger the next cut scene.
Unable to Home point Warp to Crag locations, even though they have home point crystal icons on the map. This is needed for easier access to Reisenjima without being /whm.
Unbalanced game design for obtaining Trusts for new players catching up. (Allow newer players to hold more Trusts)
Recycled content completely done to death. RoV was a complete joke and the story felt last minute on a dying game.
UI/Battle system still locks up and is buggy. Engage/Disengage still freezes you're character up. Changing targets is slow. Its hard to select a target, Lack of a target filter.
Map UI & Map image is hard to use. Still have to read by grid & zoom out and in is weird.
Game Config/Final Fantasy 11 Config is really poor and not updated at all. Its hard to setup.
Remove Link Pearls item and redo the chat system using a new channel. (This will fix the issue with the game cutting out text while zoning.)
Lack of a Summon Chocobo Mount.
Chocobo rentals need to be completely free & access without licence for brand new players. (Since Mounts are a thing now.)
Text bar is very wide and its hard to read.
Can barely make out Equip UI and items. 7's would look like / on 1920x1080 screen resolution.
Remove the "Check" menu option and replace it with Mount. Then add the levels of all the monsters by there name. NMs can have a Star. (Star) Valkrum Emperior, Lv17 Valkrum Fly. Don't need to display the level on wide scan.
Suggestion:
Remake the game on current PC platforms and port it to PS4/PS5. Dirextx11.
Use whats currently done in game and completely redesign and overhaul the game in area design. The majority can be completely redone to what PS2 couldn't do back then.
Close old servers. (A new XI will make people care less about old private servers.)
Reuse all the text in the current XI. Can cut it down for voice acting if needed.
Redesign/Reuse armor & weapons & characters & races. (Galka's tail could be made a lot better.)
Redo dynamis, abyssea and other forms of copy pasta zone content. (Make abyssea a end of the world expansion. Like FF6 the Ruined World)
Add some form of Hotbar for macros and drag in drop for abilities and weapon skills.
Keep the Vanity armor gear slots.
Keep Gear swaps in the game.
Keep advanced Stats in the game.
Stream line the Quests a bit where there isn't ??? locations all over the place like with the current game.
Redo the Main story (Ranked Missions Rank 1-10) It lacks a actual story line.
Add in more Jobs, Weapon Skills on top of what we currently have.
Add in new story line content. (Gotta give old XI players a reason to be excited again for future patches.)
Add a party finder from XIV. Leave out the solo duty finder. (Content access from anywhere within the game without being in the zone is nice.)
This will get new kids and the old XI players back to the game.
Add a discount for XI+XIV active players, or give vanity rewards for having both active, (Login Bonus)
Suggestion 2:
Close the servers. Move everyone else over to the XIV team.
Suggestion 3:
Remake the game as a single player game on a modern console.

And as I stated before it isn't many different so much as slight variations/combinations of other sets as Omnys went into more detail over. I'd only really call about 1/3 of those individual sets with the rest borrowing from others as they have might have more than one and maybe adding a piece. So yes they are "sets" in the sense that you'd have them set as things to macro to... but not in the sense I have I have 20 sets of different equipment that are destroying my invent

I understand if you don't want to debate. You don't have to debate if you don't want to.
But here's the thing this is an open forum. When you make suggestions (or heck when you basically type anything and hit enter lol) other people will probably debate them. Especially when said suggestions carry a cost. And doubly so when the cost is felt by a far greater number of the people in said forum than will see the benefit (to the point where few will debate if there even is a benefit). Triply so if somewhat subjectively the benefits are something small. Like that Chivalry. Aside from being only every 10 minutes full gearing for it might be able to gain another 200-300 mp... but I already gain more mp than I have as a taru. Sure would let you fill up at lower tp... but what's that doing for you? Another half a ws every 10 minutes?

The thing for me with Chivalry is that I only ever find myself needing it when I've been hit with an mp curse or something. Everything fills MP at start and many battles are over within 5 minutes.
But yeah, even at "hard" stuff, I don't need Chivalry and I cure and keep up everything I need to.
Personally, and this is just me I guess--I just keep a low mp body around (like Chozoroon Cosolete or perfect Jumalik). That + Ambuscade cape + Ochain sometimes and occasionally the spell refresh.
Anyway, I'm not trying to suggest nerfing of your sets. I love PLD, but there's a point where you're just weighing yourself down with gear that has no real use.

Bolded part = bad. Already went over why. ^^;; And again, I do agree that, as long as it does not increase current load times, it would be nice to be able to equip from Satchel/Sack/Case. That would allow me to carry around another 1-3x jobs' worth of gear and it's always nice to have multiple options ready to go at any time. lol
I asked about your sets not to suggest "nerfing" any of them. But you might be surprised at how much stuff ends up collecting dust once you get serious about a job and start upgrading your gear. Often times, something will get removed from an equip set and forgotten instead of moved to storage or tossed/sold.
Example: Does it make sense to keep my Rufescent Ring (which I only used for BST Reward macro) on hand once I got other rings w/ equal/greater MND for my mages? No, but it stayed in wardrobe for a long time even though I had changed my macros and was not using it for anything at all. Same thing happened with Ready potency gear.. Realized one day that I had 4-5 extra pieces for it that were never being used at all due to how easy it is to cap potency with only 2x pieces at a time.
Try taking a good look at what you have in your bags and compare to what you actually use. Then compare between your jobs, at least for any slot that is frequently "all jobs". Even if comparing PLD<>BLM, I'd bet there is going to be a bit of overlap that you could use to optimize your storage a bit.
While I admittedly do not have perfect gear options, I'm able to carry around full gear for 6x jobs in my 4x wardrobes. Even if I were to have everything "perfect" for every eventuality, that would probably cut me down to 4-5x jobs. I just can't shake the feeling that you are not optimizing your inv space very well, and that doing so could both free up some space for you and possibly help you perform better while playing. ^^

Once you die in Domain Invasion, it becomes nearly impossible to recover due to AOEs like Spike Flail killing you before you can recall trusts to try to get back into the fight (and frequently before you can even cast Reraise.) Perhaps it could be adjusted so that damage is only dealt to player/trusts who are on it's enmity list? Also would be nice if trusts could be blocked from being Spike Flail targets since there is no way to control their positioning.

(As in from the chat, not the unity lol. Then allow them to get back in when they move their character again)

Yeah, the cost of doing such an overhaul would be comparable to making FFXIV from scratch again. They stated when Rhapsodies ended and they went to current updates that the method for running the game now is to retain current subscribers, not to grow the player base. They're not going to do such changes with their current objective for the game.

How about reducing respawn timers on monsters in all zones released prior to Seekers of Adoulin to 5 minutes or less?
It's easier/faster than ever to get from level 1 to 99 and even the most casual players are running around in item level 117 gear, so it doesn't make any sense to have to wait 10-15 mins, and in some cases even longer, for monsters in older zones to respawn. Is there any practical reason as to why such a change wouldn't/shouldn't happen?
What zones are 15m+ respawns still?

There are actually quite a few older monsters that are in the 10-20 minute respawn range, some that quickly pop to mind are coffer key mobs and their counterparts in Wings of the Goddess zones that are 15 minutes or higher. Mobs like Yagudo Templar, Ruby Quadav, Adaman Quadav that were once considered "notorious" aren't even placeholders for the NMs that pop in their respective locations, yet they have 20 minute timers. Girtabs in Quicksand Caves are 16 min respawns. Fomors in Phomiuna Aqueducts are 14 minute respawns, 16 minutes in Sacrarium. A lot of mobs in Oldton and Newton are in the 12 to 16 minute range.
It made sense in 2004, a time where we'd take alliances of players to fight coffer mobs for their keys and we'd constantly find ourselves resting for HP/MP, but in 2016 we just have to look at those mobs and they drop dead. Even a mid level solo player with a party of trusts will wipe the floor with those mobs without ever needing to stop and rest... or worry about a party member running AFK for an unknown amount of time. :x

Tie all 3 zones together. Absolutely no one cares about zitah and ru'ann with no campaign up, but reisen stays generally maxed out. Make all three zones use reisenjimas blessings.
(this probably isn't even true for 95% of servers... most servers probably cant even get quetzal blessings up, so maybe extend the time they're active too.)

People have BEGGED for race change options for years and we still don't have it. I understand that adding the option to permanently change it is probably out of the question but would it be too much to ask for temporary race change to be implemented to lockstyle? We have so many costume items that change how our characters look so why is changing your race so impossible?
Ammos have no effect on lockstyles currently so my suggestion would to be to add "mask" ammo items that change your race appearance when they are used in a lockstyle. You could also use these items to bleed out some of the gil from the community. Taru and Mithra masks sold in Windurst, Elvaan masks sold in San d'Oria, and Hume and Galka masks sold in Bastok. Make a "mask" item for each hair and face option for the races and problem fixed. I'm so tired of seeing race changes getting shot down when there are plenty of ways to add it in. There is literally no excuse to force people to give up years of hard work because you are too lazy to add a race change option. I'm sure a lot of us chose our race because of stat advantages, which have now been adjusted to be very small compared to what they were years ago...

Can we adjust the range for the doors entering and leaving Staging points? You literally have to hump them to open them. Also, can we add an option for Salvage to not need to queue for door opening? Something that can be toggled on/off. Most of the time, I do the same zone and I know the route I want to take.

Can we store up to 50 voidwatch stones, we can quest them if u want but it would really help for events. and another thing, Why does the nm for the hocho never drop it?, ive camped him for 4 weeks now, its rediculous. Thanks for all that you do. We appreciate it. A few more things. Could we get more bayld for coupons, 1k isnt hardly any bayld, its a waste of a coupon. Also matsya rate is too low, it needs to be higher, synergy needs to be higher because people on my server jacked the prices of materials out of the roof. you can farm them but its a pain and they hq4 at a rate of 1/60. voodoo gear is great i love it, but it needs a boost, it needs something to make it worth even more so people quit undercutting, and it wont be so slow selling anymore. dynamis is fun and cool but it would be even funner if other jobs other than thief could get 100s more easily, then people would bring bst and blue etc in and would be alot of fun. there also needs to be a few new ways to make alot of big money quickly to support getting empy relic etc. also the aeonic is cool but half the time other people don't want to help you fight, so u pretty much have to solo all u can and fail at the rest. these are just a few ideas i had. i love the game, have since close to the beginning of it, and i love all ff games. Also, can we get bayld for fighting monsters in the regions that are bayld ones. that would be great to be able to get garden growing good with materials each night.

One-handed Relics in offhand should provide at least the +attk stat, this needs fixed, it just seems to be a nonsense mistake gone on and never addressed. Empy can add +50stat as offhand but relics ie: Mandau/kikoku still dont give the +40/60attk (for those who dont care about the ws and am/ag - can still be a decent offhand)

Also, can we add Chocobuck for the currency exchange of vouchers or the items for healing the Chocobo's to Sparks for purchase? I've tried several times to use the Mog Garden to grow the Tokopekko Wildgrass but it's just isn't coming up. The grass can only be grown or purchased with chocobucks, but if you can't clear the trial races, then you can't earn any chocobuck. Some other place to help get the items to tend to the sickness of Chocobo's would be great.

I think it's safe to say that battle is over in this game, but even if it is not: The million gil limit needs to go. The coral fragment fishing nerf REALLY needs to go(I talk out of my ass here I assume it's in effect after much research and supply being next to none on Q). Several other such nerfs need to be eased up or let go.
As for controlling the market, Bill Gates gonna Gates, okay. If you want to avoid encountering Bill Gates then you don't weasel your way onto a market scene Bill Gates brought back from the dead and start undercutting Bill Gates expecting no response, lol. Sharing sales is fine with Bill Gates. Bill Gates does not mind that. But Bill Gates gonna Gates when you start getting greedy and cause a price war. Pro-tip: don't focus on a single item. It only causes price wars and eventually market crashes, and I guarantee you Bill Gates will be the one who brings it back from the dead shortly after you move on to another item.

It's definitely not, but it's clear that the anti-RMT measures they have in place serve more as an inconvenience to those of us playing by the rules than to those of us working around them.

I honestly can't think of any anti-RMT features that would still be required nowadays... I'm pretty sure that simple sparks farming probably would be able to net any hypothetical modern RMTs significantly more gil/hr than any other activity like fishing/farming possibly could... I personally loathe the fishing fatigue system and would rejoice IRL if it were removed. It's the insurmountable barrier to me getting any form of enjoyment out of fishing now. :(

by this i meant that there are people who have been running crafting for 8 plus years. especially goldsmithing on my server. i know they are a paying customer, but they hurt so many other people from ever wanting to do that craft by cheating the market.

If they bought it nearly a decade ago, there's little that could (or should) be done about it at this point.. Even real world crimes have a statute of limitations ya know? XD
And other than the specific names that irritate you, how many unrelated, honest crafters would be potentially affected by any sort of AH-scan-based punishment? Probably more than one, which would be too many IMO as far as this issue goes.
I don't really understand how or why anyone can "cheat" the crafting market/system, btw.

Take screenshots of the offending AH entries as backup evidence just in case they ask for 'em. But if you are saying that a single seller is controlling the price for all of the servers sales but other players are buying, well... that's free market mechanics at work. XD
EDIT: Just a quick look thru ffxiah shows that the history on single Ifritear, Shivatear, Titatear, Leviatear, Garutear, and Ramutar are all suspiciously similar with the same list of sellers and same list of buyers, all of the names involved also appear to be related (French maybe?) plus are all 5x-10x more expensive than the nearest server's median price. So in this case at least, I'd say it's definitely worth the time to file an official complaint.
BTW, I'm not objecting to the enforcement of the rules or saying that this issue never happens. ^^;; I wholeheartedly object to the idea/suggestion that doing so should be handled automatically by a part of the program. Enforcement of non-hacking rule violations should always be directly handled by an actual person and not a machine to avoid innocents from being wrongfully punished.

BTW, I'm not objecting to the enforcement of the rules or saying that this issue never happens. ^^;; I wholeheartedly object to the idea/suggestion that doing so should be handled automatically by a part of the program. Enforcement of non-hacking rule violations should always be directly handled by an actual person and not a machine to avoid innocents from being wrongfully punished.

So it appears that someone is setting the AH prices by selling to self or colluding with others? I don't remember if this is actually against TOS, but think it might be covered as a prohibited activity, so maybe try making a GM report? Take screenshots of the offending AH entries as backup evidence just in case they ask for 'em. But if you are saying that a single seller is controlling the price for all of the servers sales but other players are buying, well... that's free market mechanics at work. XD

Heres the thing, all those people ARE the same person, he has like 14 plus mules somehow. also he changes them out back and forth but everyday for 8 years the same thing. also he has been reported by several people esp me 8x, the SE people wont do a darn thing about it because they say its legal and hes a paying customer.

since there is a limit to chocobo digging. i feel that we should be able to dig up more higher levels of bayld, alexandrite, plutons, pluton cases, beitetsu, rift boulders, heavy metal pouches, maybe keep most of these rare, but still obtainable, and sparkling stones, and other useful items, the stuff you dig right now,, after leveling to a10 digging is bull. it took 3 years of my life to get to a10 8 years ago, and it used to be useful until the cap was put on it. im just throwing out suggestions of stuff I would like to see, if anyone else has other ideas add them to this please.

i found out about the roe 4, you need leathercrafting prob 70 to hq , and you need to farm -1 from pld trolls, as well as mog garden the aht urghan brass to make ingots.
ok i figured out the synthesis, got my gold capped and my leather capped plus the stretcher and support for leather but i cannot for the life of me hq the brass jadagna. im 0/40 and the materials took quite some time to get. Any suggestions or ideas?

BGwiki has "Brass Jadagna" recipe @ 82GS w/ "~42-52"LC.. It's quite probable that the absolute best you can get would be T1 HQ rate, so ~1/16 (~6.25% HQ rate.) Going 0/40 is far from improbable. Complaining about mats will have zero response or effect, so I wouldn't bother. ^^;;;
As a side note, rather than spam a thread with single line self replies, you might want to just update your first post with any updated information, particularly if there is not much traffic... I also am confused as to why you are spam posting in the QOL thread about a crafting issue.

Also, really hoping for the ability to exchange the Heirloom Necklaces from Adoulin in the future. They are not amazing pieces (as Reives are old content, and we're not likely to get any new Reive content), but certainly being able to exchange them once a week could be neat for when people get into the mood to farm Reives.

A big part is Signet/Sanction/Sigil are tied to other systems so they can't just up and change that.
Ionis is an interesting thing but it too seems tied to certain things. I see nothing wrong with a duration increase, but it seems they have things balanced for a specific reason. (As much as people hate and argue balance, from a design standpoint it makes sense they are how they are.)

I think what Elexia's saying (and agreeing that a duration increase would be fine) is that the content buffs like Sigil/Signet are not static or simple and would be difficult/dangerous to change. Durations are all tied to mission progress except for Ionis I think? So, the others would probably be a no-go, but Ionis duration is not affected by anything that I know of.. It may be a pretty complicated buff w/ all the variable bonuses that are tied to it, but Maybe tie it in to average Coalition Rank or something along those lines? That would put the max pretty close to Signet, so I don't see any problem with that. I don't see the devs tossing us a baseline duration increase out of the kindness of their hearts, so there would have to be something tied to it.

Yep pretty much this. It's easy to forget that it does more than just allow us to gain x points and allow you to get crystals lol, so it's not too big of a deal but it would require them to change other things as well. Since yeah as I even said I see nothing wrong with them increasing duration, but it's the other things attached to it they'd more than likely have to take into consideration first. These days it's not really that big of a deal since it seems you go from starting > adoulin content in no time flat.

I have a suggestion for the party status icons. Currently it is to the left side of the screen. It would make more sense to put it on top of the party display to the right. That way when you target a party member you do not have to look over to the other side of the screen.

Can we get a change to the way that Dual Wield / Martial Arts work? Right now, in haste capped situations, TP gain gets penalized for the full value of DW/MA even though we only need DW+36% to cap delay. (MA values vary with the weapon delay, so not sure what the value for capping would be.) If you could change it so DW/MA is applied after haste and cap TP gain penalty to the amount applied to hit the 80% delay cap, that should allow jobs that are flooded with DW/MA (NIN/MNK/PUP) to not generate TP slower than other jobs. This change would not affect the value of DW/MA in non-haste capped situations, and could make certain equipment (like KKK for PUP) no longer cause a damage loss over time due to being overcapped on DW/MA.

People have BEGGED for race change options for years and we still don't have it. I understand that adding the option to permanently change it is probably out of the question but would it be too much to ask for temporary race change to be implemented to lockstyle? We have so many costume items that change how our characters look so why is changing your race so impossible?
Ammos have no effect on lockstyles currently so my suggestion would to be to add "mask" ammo items that change your race appearance when they are used in a lockstyle. You could also use these items to bleed out some of the gil from the community. Taru and Mithra masks sold in Windurst, Elvaan masks sold in San d'Oria, and Hume and Galka masks sold in Bastok. Make a "mask" item for each hair and face option for the races and problem fixed. I'm so tired of seeing race changes getting shot down when there are plenty of ways to add it in. There is literally no excuse to force people to give up years of hard work because you are too lazy to add a race change option. I'm sure a lot of us chose our race because of stat advantages, which have now been adjusted to be very small compared to what they were years ago...
We passed this idea along to the dev. team as we understand that there is a high demand for this. However, there are no plans to offer a service or item where players would be able to change races at this time.
We appreciate your suggestion and hope you'll continue to offer new ones in the future.

Restrict solo and low-man (3 person or less) entry when wait page is 5 or more. Party will not be ejected if number of members does not meet requirement after entry.
Further reduce or completely remove reward when solo.
Force confirmation prior to entry. i.e. all players must be present and press enter to bring the party into Ambu. If the party is held in place because someone AFK, after 3 min. the next party in line will gain entry.
Eject party if not engage in action within 3 min of entry regardless party size (i.e. AFK wait).
SE, you've designed a single go-to event to replace much of the old game content so people can gain access to materials/currencies, but the event still has the identical old mechanism from 2002. After a year of launch, there is not a single improvement you've executed to ease player's suffer and frustration due to wait time. Please fix.

I don't understand the venom constantly being sprayed at the soloers/lowmanners. :/ You already miss out on gallantry and fewer hallmarks (no way you're going to efficiently farm V1VD) by going in with less than a full party. If they are willing to take the hit, let them, and let them be. >_>;;

The event was intended from the very first announcement to be a 1-6 man event, with smaller groups doing lower difficulties. There are reasons why they keep removing group size minimums for content, so why would they even consider adding a new party size restriction?
Smaller party = smaller rewards, so that is already "punishment" enough. You get 25hm/0gal for soloing V2VE, which is already close enough to nothing as far as obtaining gear rewards goes.
This could overload the book npc. We had problems with it before the queue was added, why would we possibly want to have those problems come back?
I've had full party runs where 1-3 ppl dc'd on zone-in and we had to wait til everyone got back before we could buff and start the fight. Definitely took a lot more than 3min to get rolling. Still took less than 3min to finish the fight after that. XD It might be acceptable if they make it 10min before ejection. Anything less than that could hurt legit groups. It would still be easy to grief everyone else for the rumored AFK'ers btw.. Pop Reraise > pull mob > die > get up and wait out the timer...
The devs have done a pretty good job of incentivizing group play for the event, and though I'd like to see a lowering of the number of runs needed to get full armor+metal, I still remember the old days of Land King camping, 1hr+ wait times to get into mission BCs, etc. so 15min really doesn't seem that bad to me. XD If you compare it to other games' dungeon queues, it's actually shorter here to get in than most.
IMO, the best solution would be something that gets us the armor+metal in fewer runs. The congestion is bad because it's a long grind to get them. Make it easier to get the armor+metal and I have a feeling that the majority of the dreaded soloers would move on to something else once they get them. Lowering the cost by 50% and shifting 5x of the metals from gallantry to hallmarks would probably do more to lower congestion by the 2nd week of each month than any other solution that I've seen proposed.
I'm hoping the incoming "new methods" to get more abdjhalis seals provides enough to get the armor farmers done faster, and fast enough to be worthwhile. I'm going to be rather nonplussed if it's only 1-2 more per month.. -_-

First, I would like to apologize for not sharing this information sooner. When we first made the announcement on the Japanese forums, we saw a large amount of feedback regarding it. Therefore, before moving forward with posting the exact same information, we wanted extra time to confirm that the suggestions made to alleviate the queue times for Ambuscade were just suggestions and not finalized.
That being said, the development team is currently examining every possible measure to alleviate the congestion issue; however, we are not able to make any further adjustments to the system itself.
We presented two possible solutions which may make an impact; however, we felt that these options would be poorly received by players. The first option was to place a time based restriction on challenging Ambuscade, similar to what we currently have for Omen. The second option was to remove the equipment and their upgrade materials from the list of rewards altogether.
Why only these two options?
There were many suggestions from our players, operations team, and the dev. team; however, when considering the options, we needed to make sure it is something that we can accomplish, and something that will make a clear impact to alleviate the situation. As a result of considering various options, the two suggestions we made above met these conditions.
We felt both of these options aren't viable for players, and as we can see here on this thread, there are far more comments against such changes. Therefore, we will not move forward with these measures. We will continue to look for other possible solutions; however, please note that the final decision we make may not be the outcome everyone can agree on.
Again, I apologize again for not bringing up this matter sooner, but we wanted to confirm these points before posting. We ask everyone to continue leaving feedback and possible suggestions, so we can relay them to the dev. team investigate.
Also, to give you all a better understanding to the situation, here are some common questions we've seen thus far.
If you were to place a time based restriction on entry, do you have plans to ease the materials used for other content obtained from Ambuscade?
We have no plans to make adjustments to other corresponding battle content. For example, we have already made adjustments to the effect of cells for Voidwatch, adjusted the price of the Phase Displacer, removed the restriction on how many can be purchased, and adjusted how many can be purchased at one time. For this reason, we believe the difficulty has been eased. With this adjustment, the difficulty to create Empyrean weapons have also been lower than what we originally assumed. Therefore, we do not have any plans to consider any further adjustments to ease these, as they may lose their purpose entirely.
Would increasing the number of NPCs used to enter resolve this issue?
This adjustment would be only be a visual one, and would not change the number of players that can enter the content on the system end. Instead, by having more NPCs available, we worry that more players will talk to these other NPCs at the same time, causing the queue times to be longer than it is now. At the very least, this would not change the current situation.
In addition to this, we are not able to increase the amount of players that can enter at once on the system end. This goes without saying that we do require additional resources and staff to do this, but furthermore, the major factor for this content relies on the base foundation of the system. Please note that any type of system-side adjustments to reduce queue times is near impossible.

The attributes set on these items were set based on the difficulty and effort required to obtain them. For this reason, we have no plans to adjust this; however, we are able to take another approach, such as adding other ways to obtain items like Abdhaljs Seals. While it does not directly affect the point requirement, it does have the same effect as lowering the points. It is a very subtle change, but we believe we can expand a bit more into making these type of changes.

Can we have more Key Item triggers added in Large Gold Pyxis for other NMs that drop materials for upgrading Empyrean Weapons?
targeting Key Items for certain NMs that have to do with Empyrean Weapon upgrading to be included in large gold chests
Apademak popped by "Torn Khimaira Wing", dropped by Dhrome Khimaira in Abyssea uleguerand
Orthrus popped with "Steaming cerberus tongue", dropped by Amarok in Abyssea Altepa
Alfard popped with "Venomous hydra fang", dropped by Ningishzida Abyssea Grauberg
Minax Bugard drops "Bloodstained bugard fang" which is one of the three KIs used to spawn Sobek in Abyssea Misareaux
There's alot of Key Item triggers that pop other NMs for empyrean weapon upgrades, so why not include the rest that involves upgrading empyrean weapons?
Examples for NMs that has empyrean weapon upgrades have full popset KI triggers availible in large gold chests such as Isgebind, Dragua, Itzpapltl,Cierin-Croin.
I don't see no harm in adding the above KIs I've mentioned above on top as it will significantly reduce downtime for those who prefer to farm KI triggers through large gold pyxis. There's no reason now that those KIs should be left out at this point since the NMs have Empyrean Weapon upgrade materials as there's other NMs that do have pop sets obtainable from large gold chests.

It's not really just asura. Beginning of this month I was seeing some pretty big lines and in other months (not the last couple since no new gear) as well usually during jp prime times. Part of it comes down to a combination of just how much of them you need to do with the natural bottleneck of time periods to do them created by the monthly roll over and small lulls between campaigns if they are popular ones.
This month in particular was bad because not only did they create a whole new set of things to farm for upgrades but they set the prices such (particularly the gallantry ones) in a way that encouraged significantly more farming than previously for upgrade items especially if you ever do things in groups of less than 6. For example normally I trio a lot and I can get my monthly dyes if I still cared by the time I get to the 14.5k hallmarks that is the last of the armors. Now by the time I get enough gallantry to get all the metals and nothing else from gallantry I'll have farmed 50k hallmarks. So over triple the amount of farming. Even full pts are about double

If I disagree with a post, then I will post in disagreement. If I agree with a post, I will post in agreement. I know that I also have a bad habit of taking the long-winded "Devil's Advocate" role. It's absolutely nothing personal. (Usually, I don't even check who the poster I'm responding to is before responding, and always try to include an alternative to what I'm disagreeing with.) ^^;; However, I have gotten rather tired of the witch-hunt mentality blaming solo/lowman for all of our Ambuscade woes, and will defend their right to play the game as intended if they are willing to accept the pittance of a reward they get for doing so compared to grouping up.
There are potential solutions other than removing the ability to solo/lowman. I suggested cutting the prices on the rewards by half as that would cut the number of required runs for gear by half, which would be quite likely to reduce congestion significantly after the first week each month. This would be a benefit to all who Ambuscade and harm no one. I'm sure there are other viable+implementable+harmfree solutions. Suggesting that they should remove part of the playerbase from the queue by force is not viable in my opinion. Do you have any suggestions that would not exclude anyone and would improve the QOL for everyone? ^_^ I would genuinely love to hear any.
If you really think that a system based on PS2 architecture would not have issues/limitations, then you should probably think a bit harder. ^^;; It's not a lie that there are going to be technical limitations in software this old. They have actually done work on this issue before when they maxed out the number of layers and added the queue. The congestion at it's worst now is less than it was at it's best in the beginning, so we should not forget to give them at least a little bit of credit there. XD

Just make a 3 man minimum party for Ambuscade. The problem is stemming from the ridiculous number of soloists slowly killing the lower difficult modes, just have them team up and call out a few trusts and they could easily kill the same difficulty while getting more gallantry at a faster rate. There is no downside since it would still be a normal run, no need for dedicated support jobs as they aren't doing D/VD. Or better yet impose a 60 min lockout if someone enters ambuscade solo.

I really really really just want more equipment macros and more inventory space, theres so many weapons items craft supplies etc out there that even cleaning the mog house every day is just not enough. please if you can find a way to make this more bearable. thanks . :)

I have fully unlocked and maxed storage (wardrobe 3/4, satchel, etc all 80slots each.) This is still not enough for me. ._.;;
I would be ecstatic if I could get more storage space, but preferably NOT wardrobes... I need more generic space to hold crafting mats, pop items, furnishings, etc. Mog Safe 3? Storage 2? Actually, Storage2/3/4 would be awesome IMO since I think I have ~200 set from my current furnishings anyway and only benefit from 80.
If you need to make us pay for them, please limit it to $1/each at most. Maybe even some sort of package deal discount if you get all of the storage options? I'm already paying $43/month for this game, ANY discount packages would be greatly appreciated. :3

I do love Wardrobes 3 and 4 but I agree, they shouldn't cost more than an extra character.
And yes more storage. Escha gear can't be stored. Sinister Reign gear can't be stored. We need a place to put it that isn't the ground.

There is a reason why people are constantly migrating away from the smaller servers to the larger ones like Asura or Odin. Another server merge round is long overdue, it's sad when a servers major population is a bunch of mules that people use for multi-boxing because they like to play single player MMO's.

I was wondering if an option to save/set a Mog House layout would be useful?
Kind of like preset design template slots you can save of your Mog house layout which you can flick between. I guess kinda how /equipset works, just with furniture.

This would be a nice addition to the mog house system.
Though it would probably require you to empty your storage every time you wanted to use it, so I dunno how easy or difficult to imnplement it would be.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but can we please fix it so that when you set up a plan for your Chocobo, the game will stop purging and go back to Basic Care. I can't login everyday at the moment. There's nothing more frustrating than coming back to the game and several days are wasted on potential stat growth on a complete reset of the Care plans.

Please address the racial / model-size spell/ability range variance. There is a static variance on all spells/abilities between Tarutaru <> Mithra/Hume/Elvaan <> Galka which has become vary noticeable due to the illogically small range on BST JA's. (It is present in all jobs, abilities and spells, not just BST JA's. They just have the smallest non-self JA range in-game.)
I suggest increasing everyone else's ranges to match Galkas.

They don't want to do that because jobemotes have actions associated with them. It would be too easy to harass someone anonymously if you couldn't read who was doing the emote.

I play on PC/keyboard/mouse because that is how God intended computergames to be played. I use my PC hooked-up to a wall-sized TV, and so when I sleepily click on a Home Point and scroll through the list, suddenly this enormous map jumps out of the TV starts veering and lurching alarmingly. It actually frightens me, and makes me feel Sea Sick.
I think the pop-up maps are an awesome option for people who don't know what Vana'diel looks like, or people who have forgotten where the Home Points are. But that is why there should be a Toggle option, so that people who need to see the map can see the map by keeping the see map toggle ON, and persons such as myself who find the maps to be startling and upsetting, can disable them by changing the toggle to map OFF!
This and "automaton lockstyle pyjamas" are my only wish list. I'm not optimistic about either of my wishes coming true, XD.

You can try turning off the menu animations to see if that helps your motion sickness. The maps will still pop up, but instantly instead and there's no more motion involved.
In-game: Menu > Windows > Shared > Window Effect (switch to OFF)

Please add a new inexpensive and easily obtained "fertilizer" type item for Mog Garden that lasts for one day's worth of harvests on any non-Flotsam node and replaces all drops with crystals.
I find it very irritating that I have to either clear 50 slots from my inventory before starting or go thru the process of selling garbage after harvesting from each node. Crystals would be far more preferable to obtain than just about anything from the Grove as far as I'm concerned for instance. I'm an altoholic and trudging thru the garden 13x daily is a painful ordeal sometimes....

Please reduce respawn time for all non-NMs in all Conquest affected regions to 2-3min. 5min respawns can be painful when farming, plus lower respawns would reduce the difficulty of taking back regions from beastmen control.
I think it's also about time to reduce all timed NMs to a maximum of 3hrs. There's really no good reason to still have any 21hr+ pops at this point in the game.

Please consider adding requested buffs/effects to the "Rhapsody in Emerald" or "Rhapsody in Puce" Key Items. Neither of them have any benefits other than unlocking items from Curio Vendor Moogle and exp|cp +10% buffs. Many of the other Rhapsody KIs have many, many effects, so there is most definitely "room" on these two for new effects.
"Rhapsody in Fuschia" would also be perfect for the much needed adjustment to reduce the overly painful time-gating for SoA missions. *hint hint*

It has been asked for many times (on both sides of the OF) and has been rejected repeatedly by the devs, citing technical difficulties involved in adjusting the NPC to allow for this. They've actually said that it would be easier to make a new NPC from scratch than adjust it (which I don't really understand the logic behind.)
I for one wouldn't mind giving up an update or two's worth of content for this adjustment if necessary, (just toss the frog into Ambuscade for a couple months and we'll be happy XD) which is how much work they said would be involved IIRC.

It could be capped at 6 players if that's really required. This would let people use their moghouse as a sort of LS house.

Hmm... Just an additional thought to your comment but if the only way to make that adjustment is to add/create a new npc for the trades.. I suppose placing one to do so in a new city such as Selbina or Rabao that you could quickly jump over to doing it couldn't hurt to do the trading into multiples, I would guess? That quick jumping being said, its meaning is done by either or both the runic waypoints and homepoints located in both cities but assuming Selbina could possibly be the faster jump. On Another note: I miss the days when the Sun-Breeze Festival was an awesome thing to do in rabao or felt like it in the old days there were possibly more things you could do in rabo and wish it could be a place one of the places of highlight like Mhaura is again due to ambuscade. ;-)
So, What do you all think of this in the light of creating\adding a new npc is the only way they've found it could be fixed, fixed to trade your items in a multiple item stack at a time?

Do you mean it as an additional Mog-House button under the already existing Open Mog-House button\options once inside your Mog-House or do you mean it to be as both available for both in and outside of your Mog-House as an ability to do so??

The current 'open mog house' button only applies to current party members, and probably resets when you log. I mean add an option to open your mog house to your primary linkshell, allowing any member of that linkshell to enter (likely with a cap) whether or not you were online. Effectively letting you create a linkshell house of sorts. I have a small but tight linkshell and it would be nice to have a little hang out area we could decorate and enter without the owner having to be online, etc.
There are probably technical limitations that would prevent it, just thought I'd mention it.

there should be a way that you can set various mog house sets and change them from anywhere. like lets say for example you want a woodworking enhancement while you choco dig, or you want a smithing enhancement while you make voodoo, or maybe a fishing enhancement while you fish the higher level fish. whatever your guilty pleasure. can this be done? i have no clue, but it would be really really cool.

Can you add a consolation prize to the Mog Bonanza for those who get 10x Bonanza Balls? Just replace the 10th one with a Rank 5 prize instead... It makes me sad to get 121x balls when I'd be happy if every character could at least get a costume item. :x
Just add an extra bit of dialogue with the moogle taking pity on us on the 10th Rank 6 trade-in and slipping us a Rank 5 freebie instead because he's SUCH a nice guy. Make it all gloaty and self-satisfied sounding. Feels totally in character for them. XD

* A new safe for only furnishings. Could probably get away with only 50 slots if 80 is too much to handle. This would make it a bit easier to keep our inventory tidy, and free up a bit of general storage space for those who like to decorate their house for looks.
* Storage2. Just like the current "Storage" bag, just extending past the normal 80 mark. Would work really nicely with the furnishings safe since we wouldn't be as limited in our decoration choices. Especially all of the +1 storage furnishings since they take up as much space as they provide.
* Indirectly related, please add methods to remove augments from Skirmish/Escha/Reisenjima/etc equipment. Regaining the ability to POL-send R/EX gear that could be sent before it was augmented doesn't seem like it could disrupt game balance. Would be nice if we could re-curse Escha-Ru'aun abjuration gear as well via synergy.

i think you should add a huge list of nms to the roe list, and label it nm hunter. we can kill the nms and get a key for doing so once a month. the key would also provide ambu gear and sr gear, that is hard to get.

for the crafts that are dead on certain servers, you should make the older products npc'able for more gil than they are for now. this would entice people to craft again.

Wouldn't hurt to adding a new Goblin NPC in Reisenjima at #10 area that can store and keep track of your count of all job AF cards and scales from the 5 bosses.
If it's not possible to adding a new goblin NPC in Reisenjima to hold and keep track of Omen Job Cards and Omen Boss scales, then maybe add a new Goblin NPC in Jeuno or Norg that can handle storing Cards and Scales.
although Job cards can be deliverable to same-account characters, and scales can't, they all still take up inventory space

ALL fletchings are made by clothcraft. >_>;; You'd need one anyway.
You will also need a 100+ blacksmith to make the arrowheads AND a capped synergist to actually make the arrows.

They'd have to give woodworking more high-end profit synths to encourage ppl to start leveling it more often. Skillups are the main reason that low level mats sell after all.

Can we get a notification from the Green Thumb Moogle in Mog Garden when we unlock a new KI? Something that basically tells you to go talk to the NPC in Adoulin or a Skipper Moogle because they have something for you. This would be a nice QOL improvement that should be relatively easy to implement I'd think?

i have been doing the quests to get my woodworking synthesis shield to par, and i found out on the last quest i cant make the kit for the aquariums its 85 alchemy. to be honest this part of the quests is total crap, i wish you would take it off the list. its just utterly rediculous and not only that but when u finally get to the end of it u find out that you cannot make the last part , and i dont know any alchemists to help either.
